Besides the Indonesian throughflow(ItF), the South China Sea throughflow(SCStF) also contributes to the water transport from the Pacific to the Indian Ocean. However, this South China Sea(SCS) branch at the Karimata Strait is poorly observed until 2007, even though its importance has been suggested by numerical studies for decades. In this paper, we review the nearly 10-year field measurement in the Karimata Strait by the execution of the projects of "SCS-Indonesian Seas transport/Exchange(SItE) and Impacts on Seasonal Fish Migration" and "the transport, Internal Waves and Mixing in the Indonesian throughflow regions(tIMIt) and Impacts on Marine Ecosystem", which extend the observations from the western Indonesian seas to the east to include the main channels of the ItF, is introduced. Some major achievements from these projects are summarized.

In order to quantitatively estimate the volume and property transports between the South China Sea and Indonesian Seas via the Karimata Strait, two trawi-resistant bottom mounts, with ADCPs embedded, were deployed in the strait to measure the velocity profile as part of the South China Sea-Indonesian Seas trans- port/exchange （SItE） program. A pair of surface and bottom acoustic modems was employed to transfer the measured velocity without recovering the mooring. the advantage and problems of the instruments in this field work are reported and discussed. the field observations confirm the existence of the South Chi- na Sea branch of Indonesian throughflow via the Karimata Strait with a stronger southward flow in boreal winter and weaker southward bottom flow in boreal summer, beneath the upper layer northward （reversal） flow. the estimate of the averaged volume, heat and freshwater transports from December 2007 to March 2008 （winter） is （-2.7±1.1）×10^6 m^3/s, （-0.30±0.11） PW, 2008 （summer） is （1.2±0.6）×10^6 m^3/s, （0.14±0.03） PW, （-0.18±0.07） × 106 m3/s and from May to September （0.12±0.04）×10^6 m^3/s and for the entire record from December 2007 to October 2008 is （-0.5±1.9）×10^6 m^3/s, （-0.05±0.22） PW, （-0.01±0.15）×10^6 m^3/s （nega- tive/positive represents southward/northward transport）, respectively. the existence of southward bottom flow in boreal summer implies that the downward sea surface slope from north to south as found by Fang et al. （2010） for winter is a year-round phenomenon.

Objective:this review is aimed at explaining the psychological problems related to capillary blood glucose(CBG)testing and insulin injection,as well as recommending essential strategies to solve the fear ***:Databases,including PubMed,Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature(CINAHL),Scopus,and Google Scholar,were searched to extract the relevant ***,the terms used to retrieve related studies were"fear of blood glucose monitoring","anxiety capillary blood glucose testing and insulin injection","psychological problems on blood glucose monitoring and insulin injection","diabetes management",and"diabetes mellitus".Results:Results showed that the psychological problems related to CBG testing and insulin injection were associated with the stress and depression experienced during diabetes self-monitoring of blood *** psychological issue has its impacts such as nonadherence to medication as well as a lack of self-discipline in terms of CBG testing and insulin *** information,inappropriate perception,and pain/discomfort during pricking of fingers were the main reasons for the psychological issues in CBG testing and self-injection of ***:the expected benefits of this review include the explanation of the issues related to the psychological problems in CBG testing and insulin injection among type 2 diabetes mellitus(t2DM)*** review article also provides the recommendations on providing counseling and empowering the patients on CBG monitoring and insulin ***,family members should provide psychological support to reduce fear,anxiety,and distress arising from CBG testing and insulin injection.

In 2009, Indonesia was included in a group of the ten biggest countries emitting greenhouse gases, and forest sector contributes 85%. this forest exploitation should be stopped, and by this research the industrial wood species with special planting pattern was used as cocoa shade trees. the experiment was conducted in East Java, Indonesia, altitude 45 m above sea level using four planting patterns, i.e. （A） cocoa-tectona grandis Linn. 3 m x 6 m, （B） cocoa-t, grandis 6 m x 4.2 m ~ 4.2 m （triangle）, （C） cocoa-Paraserianthesfalcataria L. （I. Nielsen） 3 m ~ 6 m, and （D） cocoa-Leucaena sp. 3 m ~ 6 m （control）. Cocoa was planted in 3 m ~ 3 m distance; between rows of teak and Paraserianthes was planted. Cassia surithensis of 3 m distance in the row, as reserve shade trees. At 6 year old, Paraserianthes was harvested, and at 7 year old, teak trees were thinned out 50% population for A and 66.7% for B treatments. the result showed that cocoa agroforestry by using timber trees in regular planting pattern and accurate spacing did not decrease cocoa yield but improved land productivity. Paraserianthes harvesting produced 0.71 m3 timber and the price was US$38.0-US $40.0 per tree, while teak thinning out produced 0.07 m3 wood per tree and it cost was US$5 per tree. From 108 Paraserianthes trees harvested, 81 cocoa trees were affected, 11.9% were seriously damage, 6.85% were medium damage, and 5.36% were light damage. On the other hand, teak spacing did not cause serious damage on cocoa trees. Biomass of harvested Paraserianthes and teak supplied back to soil 543 g and 250 g per tree respectively for equalities to total urea, SP 36, KC1, Kieserite and Dolomite. Paraserianthes harvest and teak thinning out made microclimate to be warmer, humidity to be lower, so pod rot incidence become lower and pod yield was improved, namely 71% and 27.25% for Paraserianthes plot and teak plot, respectively. A consumer makes choices by following a certain paradigm, a system for organizing his thinking based on norms that are determined by certain norm-setters or role models. Widespread societal ills such as depression and suicide seem to correlate with certain types of consumer behavior. However, current consumer choice theories don＇t appear to be effective in evaluating epidemiology research. this study compares existing consumer choice paradigms and introduces the linguistic paradigm as a framework for studying the organization of human thinking. the linguistic paradigm is based on the nature of human language and on spiritual wisdom. the paradigm is implemented to generate models （process templates） for the analysis of selected consumer choice issues. the potential effectiveness of these models in analyzing consumer behavior is discussed.

Flooding is now an annual occurring event in Donga town especially after heavy rainstorm which is further worsened by the nature of the topography of the area. the knowledge of how the public view flooding is considered a crucial aspect in modern flood management as it steers the development of effective and efficient flood mitigation strategies. this study therefore assessed public perception of flooding in Donga town. two wards were purposively drawn out of ten wards (Gata Aure and Fada ward). the survey design method was employed in this study. Yamane (1967) method of sample size determination was used to arrive at a sample size of 130 for the study. Systematic random sampling was used in the administration of 130 questionnaires to respondents. Non parametric statistics of Spear Man rank correlation and descriptive statistics (percentages, tables, pie and bar charts) were used to analyze the data. the result of the findings showed that 95% of the respondents were male, 88.4% of the respondents were aware that the area was prone to flooding. Also, about 46.2% perceived that rainfall was the major cause of flooding in the study area. Correlation analysis result was insignificant which implied that in Donga town, educational level of respondents did not influence respondent’s awareness level of flooding and that people’s perception of flooding was influenced by factors other than respondent’s literacy level. the conclusion from the study is that rainfall intensity and amount is the main cause of flooding in Donga town and also individual’s response to flooding in the study area is poor. this study recommends the need to educate the people living in the flood plain on the dangers of continuous occupation of the area.

Introduction: Interleukin-2 (IL-2) is multiple which functions during an inflammatory response. Inflammation is a critical component of cancer progression. IL-10 is the most important cytokine with anti-inflammatory properties. Cancer patients typically show depression of both cellular and humoral immune functions. Aims: the objective of this experiment is to know the expression of IL-2 and IL-10 in cervical cancer. Method: Paraffin block of the tissues frozen section cervical cancer was cut in sharp and cleaned cryotome and place in glass plate that covered with poly-elysine. the immunohistochemistry stains were done with monoclonal antibody anti IL-2 and IL-10 with tSA-indirect method. the collected data were analyzed with t test (SPSS for window 15). Result: In this study the expression of IL-2 (35.9% = moderate) is less than the expression of IL-10 (45.3% = moderate). From t test analysis of p t means that there is no significance in difference between IL-2 and IL-10. Conclusion: We indicated that the immune response plays a role in balance between cellular and humoral immunity.

BACKGROUND Adrenocortical carcinoma(ACC),the second most aggressive malignant tumor,lacks epidemiological data worldwide;therefore,every new case can improve the understanding of the pathology and treatment of this *** SUMMARY We present the case of a 66-year-old Caucasian woman with a giant androgenproducing ACC(21 cm×17 cm×12 cm;2100 g),without metastases,which unusually presented with an acute onset of atrial flutter and congestive heart *** cardiac complications observed in our case support the hypothesis that androgen excess in women is a cardiovascular risk *** excess in women can be a rare cause of reversible dilated cardiomyopathy,therefore a comprehensive approach to the patient is essential to improve the recognition of androgen-secreting *** atrial flutter was remitted after initiation of drug treatment during *** severe heart failure was totally remitted at 6 mo after radical open surgery to remove the giant *** Radical open surgery to remove a giant androgen-producing ACC was the firstline treatment to cure the excess of androgen,which determined the total remission of cardiac complications at 6 mo after surgery in the women of this case report.

Introduction: the immunity against cervical cancers is many unknown. Major histocompatability complex class I (MHC-I) with the alpha domain has binding site for Cytotoxic t cells (CD8+) to target cells. the objective of this experiment is to know the expression of CD8+ and MHC-I in cervical cancer with HPV infection. Method: DNA was isolated from seventeen sample cervical cancer tissues frozen section. Diagnose related with HPV was made by PCR. Paraffin block of the tissues was cut in thoroughly cleaned cryotome and place in glass plate that covered with poly-elysine. the immuno-histochemistry is done with monoclonal antibody again MHC-I and CD8+ with tSA-indirect method. the power of expression was counted the number of positive cells to express the MHC-I and CD8+ every 100 cells per one view look. Result: the Result of this experiment shows that expression of MHC-I and CD8+ in cervical cancer with HPV infection is in mild category (30% - 70%). Conclusion: Immunity against uterine cancer played by MHC-I and CD8+ is in milt category. the experiment that related with uterine cancer immunology is suggested.
