Effects of pressure relief holes on coal burst:Insights from true-triaxial unloading tests

Drilling pressure relief is one of the methods to reduce the risk of coal bursts in deep ***,the effect of the drill hole orientations has not been studied well enough to understand their impact on the burst failure *** this study,we investigated two designs of drill hole *** first design includes drill holes located on the upper free face of the rectangular samples and labelled as upper hole(UH)and centre hole(CH)e the long axes of the drill holes are aligned with minor principal stress,s3,*** second design includes drill holes at the top(tH)and the side(SH)of the rectangular samples in which the long axes of the drill holes are aligned with the maximum,s1,and intermediate principal stress,s2,directions,*** coal samples with the proposed drill hole orientations were subjected to the true-triaxial unloading coal burst *** results show that the drill holes reduce the risk of coal ***,we found that the intensity of coal burst was significantly reduced with the SH-type,followed by the *** also observed that the coal burst intensity is reduced better for the CH,UH,tH,and SH-type drilling ***,it was found that the orientations of drill holes have little influence on the failure mode(splitting).the acoustic emission(AE)activities for coal with drill holes noticeably decreased,especially for the UH and CH *** drill holes reduced the upper limit of the AE entropy(chaos of microcracks generation).However,regarding reducing the coal burst risk,the tH and SH are less effective than UH and CH.

Objective:to investigate the prevalence and risk factors associated with long COVID symptoms among children and adolescents who have recovered from ***:this study applied a cross-sectional approach within community settings in a southern province of Vietnam.A structured questionnaire featuring socio-demographic information and common long COVID symptoms was *** correlation coefficients assessed associations among pairs of long COVID ***,multivariable logistic regression models were performed to investigate the risk factors of long COVID in recovered COVID-19 children and ***:Among 422 participants,39.3%reported long COVID symptoms,with a prevalence of 45.2%(SD=0.5)in children and 22.2%(SD=0.4)in *** symptoms reported were cough 34.6%(SD=0.5),fatigue 20.6%(SD=0.4),shortness of breath 10.9%(SD=0.3),and lack of appetite 6.6%(SD=0.3).Concerning risk factors of long COVID,a higher risk was observed among demographic groups,including girls(OR 1.25,95%CI 1.15-1.37;Pto adolescents(OR 1.24,95%CI 1.12-1.37;Pt individuals(OR 1.14,95%CI 1.02-1.27;P=0.018,reference:healthy weight),and participants without any COVID-19 vaccination(OR 1.36,95%CI 1.20-1.54;Pto those who have received two ***,patients with a COVID-19 treatment duration exceeding two weeks also had a higher risk of long COVID(OR 1.32,95%CI 1.09-1.60;P=0.003)than those who recovered less than seven ***:the insights from this study provide crucial guidance for predicting the factors associated with the occurrence of long COVID in pediatric patients,contributing to strategic interventions aimed at mitigating the long COVID risks among children and adolescents in Vietnam.

In thiswork,the perovskite LaZnO_(3) was synthesized via sol-gel method and applied for photocatalytic treatment of sulfamethizole(SMZ)antibiotics under visible light *** was almost completely degraded(99.2%±0.3%)within 4 hr by photocatalyst LaZnO3 at the optimal dosage of 1.1 g/L,with amineralization proportion of 58.7%±0.4%.the efficient performance of LaZnO_(3) can be attributed to itswide-range light absorption and the appropriate energy band edge levels,which facilitate the formation of active agents such as·O_(2)^(−),h^(+),and·*** integration of RP-HPLC/Q-tOF-MS and DFt-based computational techniques revealed three degradation pathways of SMZ,which were initiated by the deamination reaction at the aniline ring,the breakdown of the sulfonamidemoieties,and a process known as Smile-type rearrangement and SO2 *** toxicity of SMZ and the intermediateswere analyzed by quantitative structure activity relationship(QSAR),indicating the effectiveness of LaZnO_(3)-based photocatalysis in preventing secondary pollution of the intermediates to the ecosystem during the degradation *** visible-light-activated photocatalyst LaZnO_(3) exhibited efficient performance in the occurrence of inorganic anions and maintained high durability across multiple recycling tests,making it a promising candidate for practical antibiotic treatment.

An isogeometric approach for nonlocal bending and free oscillation of magneto-electro-elastic functionally graded nanobeam with elastic constraints

this work uses isogeometric analysis(IGA),which is based on nonlocal hypothesis and higher-order shear beam hypothesis,to investigate the static bending and free oscillation of a magneto-electro-elastic functionally graded(MEE-FG)nanobeam subject to elastic boundary constraints(BCs).the magneto-electric boundary condition and the Maxwell equation are used to calculate the variation of electric and magnetic potentials along the thickness direction of the *** study is innovative since it does not use the conventional boundary ***,an elastic system of straight and torsion springs with controllable stiffness is used to support nanobeams’beginning and end positions,creating customizable *** governing equations of motion of nanobeams are established by applying Hamilton’s principle and IGA is used to determine deflections and natural frequency *** studies were performed to evaluate the convergence and accuracy of the proposed *** from this,the impact of the input parameters on the static bending and free oscillation of the MEE-FG nanobeam is examined in *** findings could be valuable for analyzing and designing innovative structures constructed of functionally graded MEE materials.

An Optimal Node Localization in WSN Based on Siege Whale Optimization Algorithm

Localization or positioning scheme in Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is one of the most challenging andfundamental operations in various monitoring or tracking applications because the network deploys a large areaand allocates the acquired location information to unknown devices. the metaheuristic approach is one of themost advantageous ways to deal with this challenging issue and overcome the disadvantages of the traditionalmethods that often suffer from computational time problems and small network deployment scale. this studyproposes an enhanced whale optimization algorithm that is an advanced metaheuristic algorithm based on thesiege mechanism (SWOA) for node localization inWSN. the objective function is modeled while communicatingon localized nodes, considering variables like delay, path loss, energy, and received signal strength. the localizationapproach also assigns the discovered location data to unidentified devices with the modeled objective functionby applying the SWOA algorithm. the experimental analysis is carried out to demonstrate the efficiency of thedesigned localization scheme in terms of various metrics, e.g., localization errors rate, converges rate, and executedtime. Compared experimental-result shows that theSWOA offers the applicability of the developed model forWSNto perform the localization scheme with excellent quality. Significantly, the error and convergence values achievedby the SWOA are less location error, faster in convergence and executed time than the others compared to at least areduced 1.5% to 4.7% error rate, and quicker by at least 4%and 2% in convergence and executed time, respectivelyfor the experimental scenarios.

Respiratory syncytial virus(RSV)poses a significant global health threat,especially affecting infants and the *** this,the present study proposes an innovative approach to vaccine design,utilizing immunoinformatics and computational *** analyzed RSV's structural proteins across both subtypes A and B,identifying potential helper t lymphocyte,cytotoxic t lymphocyte,and linear B lymphocyte *** such as antigenicity,allergenicity,toxicity,and cytokine-inducing potential were rigorously ***,we evaluated the conservancy of these epitopes and their population coverage across various RSV *** comprehensive analysis identified six major histocompatibility complex class I(MHC-I)binding,five MHC-II binding,and three B-cell *** were integrated with suitable linkers and adjuvants to form the ***,molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulations demonstrated stable interactions between the vaccine candidate and human toll-like receptors(tLR4 and tLR5),with a notable preference for *** simulation analysis underscored the vaccine's potential to elicit a strong immune *** study presents a promising RSV vaccine candidate and offers theoretical support,marking a significant advancement in vaccine development ***,the promising in silico findings need to be further validated through additional in vivo studies.

Obesity has been known to negatively modulate the life-span and immunosuppressive potential of mesenchymal stromal cells(MSC).However,it remains unclear what drives the compromised potency of obese *** this study,we examined the involvement of adiponectin,an adipose tissuederived hormone,in obesity-induced impaired therapeutic function of ***-induced obesity leads to a decrease in serum adiponectin,accompanied by impairment of survival and immunomodulatory effects of adipose-derived MSC(ADSC).Interestingly,priming with globular adiponectin(gAcrp)improved the immunomodulatory potential of obese *** effects were also observed in lean *** addition,gAcrp potentiated the therapeutic effectiveness of ADSC in a mouse model of DSS-induced ***,while obesity inhibited the glycolytic capacity of MSC,gAcrp treatment induced a metabolic shift toward glycolysis through activation of adiponectin receptor type 1/p38 MAPK/hypoxia inducible factor-1a *** findings suggest that activation of adiponectin signaling is a promising strategy for enhancing the therapeutic efficacy of MSC against immune-mediated disorders.
