thermoelectric properties of Ce0.09Fe0.67Co3.33Sb12/FeSb2.1te multi-layered structures with period of 5 nm were studied in temperature ranging from 300 K to 500 K. Structures were prepared by Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD) on fused sili- ca quartz glass substrates at the substrate temperature during the deposition ts = 230°C and ts = 250°C with the laser beam energy density Ds = 3 Jcm-2. In the contribution temperature dependencies of the in-plane electrical conductivity, the Seebeck coefficient and the resultant power factor together with room temperature value of thermoelectric figure of merit are presented.

this paper describes a detailed analysis of the dependence of Raman scattering intensity on the polarization of the incident and inelastically scattered light in PbSc_(0.5)Nb_(0.5)O_(3)(PSN)single crystals and epitaxially compressed thin films grown on(100)-oriented MgO *** is found that there are significant differences between the properties of the crystals and films,and that these differences can be attributed to the anticipated structural differences between these two forms of the same *** particular,the scattering characteristics of the oxygen octahedra breathing mode near 810 cm^(-1) indicate a ferroelectric state for the crystals and a relaxor state for the films,which is consistent with the dielectric behaviors of these materials.

Quantification of CrylAb toxin in Bt Maize for Ostrinia nubilalis （Lep.： Crambidae） Bioassay

two variants of diet composition were prepared to evaluate the susceptibility of ECBs to CrylAb toxin as follows： 1） 38-0600 Stonefly Heliothis Diet mixed with purified CrylAb protein and 2） 38-0600 Stonefly Heliothis Diet mixed with lyophylized leaves of Bt maize MON 810-YieldGard. A method of sample preparation and extraction of Bt toxin for reproducible ELISA quantification were optimized. the qualitative DAS-ELISA kit from Agdia was optimized for use in quantitative analysis of Cry lAb toxin. the mortality of ECB larvae from the laboratory strain on the diet with CrylAb toxin did not differ significantly from the mortality on the diet with Bt maize leaves with the same rate of Cry lAb toxin. Similarly, the mortality of the ECB larvae from the field population on the diet with Bt maize leaves did not differ significantly from the mortality of ECB larvae from the laboratory strain on the same type of diet. therefore, the incorporation of Bt maize leaves into the diet did not influence the efficacy of CrylAb toxin against ECBs. Using this method, a susceptibility of one field population of ECBs from the Czech Republic to CrylAb toxin was determined （LC50 of 2.16 μg of Cry 1Ab g^-1 of diet）.

thermoelectric layers as Bi2te3, Yb0.19Co4Sb12, FeSb2te, Ce0.1Fe0.7Co3.3Sb12 and FeSb2te/Ce0.1Fe0.7Co3.3Sb12 multilayers were prepared by Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD). Smooth, nano-crystalline, stoichiometric layers were synthetized in a classical PLD arrangement or in a special off-axis PLD arrangement, followed by Rapid thermal annealing. Results of physical characterizations such as morphology—Atomic Force Microscope, Scanning Electron Microscope, composition-Energy Dispersive X-ray analysis, crystallinity—X-ray Diffraction, separation of multilayers—Secondary of ion beam mass spectroscopy SIMS and study of thermoelectric properties such as the thermoelectric figure of merit Zt, in-plane electrical resistivity, Seebeck coefficient and thermal conductivity are presented. For thermal conductivity measurement a newly developed Atomic force thermal microscope (AFMth) was tested. Results obtained on the single layers compared to multi-layered structures are discussed.
