Occult HBV infection status and its impact on surgical outcomes in patients with curative resection for HCV-associated hepatocellular carcinoma

Background:We sought to clarify the prevalence of occult hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection(OBI)and to determine whether OBI affects the surgical outcomes in curatively resected Japanese patients with hepatitis C virus(HCV)-related hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods:A total of 257 patients with HCV-related HCC who underwent curative surgical resection were *** enrolled patients were serologically negative for HBV surface antigen and positive for HCV *** was extracted from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded liver *** was determined by the HBV-DNA amplification of at least two different sets of primers by taqMan real-time polymerase chain *** outcomes were evaluated according to overall survival(OS),disease-specific survival(DSS),and disease-free survival(DFS).Results:OBI was identified in 15 of the 257(5.8%)*** the multivariate analyses,the factors significantly correlated with OS were BMI>25(P=0.0416),portal vein invasion(P=0.0065),and multiple tumors(P=0.0064).the only factor significantly correlated with DSS was t-stage(P=0.0275).the factors significantly correlated with DFS were liver fibrosis(P=0.0017)and t-stage(P=0.0001).the status of OBI did not show any significant correlation with OS,DSS or DFS,but a weak association with DSS(P=0.0603)was ***:the prevalence of OBI was 5.8%in 257 cases of HCV-related *** a weak association between DSS and OBI was observed,and statistical analyses were limited by small number of OBI cases,no significant correlation between OBI and surgical outcomes was detected.

Reinforcement construction of Wakayama No.5 sintering plant performed from August 2006 to January 2009 to adapt expansion of blast furnaces.A new strand,which grate area is 185m,was built adjacent to an existing strand(122m) while the existing one had been operating continuously during construction.A packed bed type circular cooler was installed for the new strand to decrease energy *** order to improve the granulation,a new separate granulation system using a pan pelletizer which diameter is 7.5m was ***,exhaust gas treatment system was *** addition,existing raw materials bins and coke breeze bin were appropriated to decrease construction *** facilities are shared with both *** a result,increase of permeability of the sintering bed has achieved by using the separate granulation system while the finer average size of the raw materials can be ***,the thickness of the sintering bed can increase and return fine ratio decrease so that the productivity *** concentrations of SOx,NOx,and dioxins are also kept low enough to attain an environment *** commercial operation of Wakayama No.5 sintering plant begins in January 2009 and has been continuing the favorable operation about 36t/d/m.

We demonstrate the amplitude and spin polarization of AAS oscillation changing with Rashba spin-orbit interaction （SOI） and Dresselhaus SOI. the amplitude and spin polarization of AB oscillation changing with Rashba SOI and Dresselhaus SOI are demonstrated as well. the ideal quasi-one-dimensional square loop does not exist in reality, therefore to match the experiment better we should consider the shape of the rectangle loop in theory.

Although autophagy enhances cell survival in nutrient-deprived ceils by increasing adenosine triphosphate (AtP) production, it remains unclear if autophagy functions similarly in cells treated with cytotoxic chemotherapy *** address this issue, we measured both the ability of DNA damaging agents (temozolomide, and Etoposide) to induce an autophagy-dependent production of AtP, and the effects of modulation of autophagy on drug-induced cell *** drugs induced an autophagy-associated increase in AtP production in multiple glioma cell *** drug-induced AtP surge could not be blocked by glucose starvation, but could be blocked by preincubation with the autophagy inhibitor 3-methyladenine (3-MA), an siRNA targeting beclin 1, or the mitochondrial inhibitor *** of autophagy-induced AtP production increased non-apoptotic cell death associated with micronucleation, while restoration of the 3-MA-inhibited AtP surge by addition of pyruvate suppressed cell *** results show that DNA damaging agents induce an autophagy-associated AtP surge that protects cells and may contribute to drug resistance.

this paper describes the orbit design of the deployable payload Rover 2 of MINERVA-II,installed on the Hayabusa2 *** Rover 2 did not have surface exploration capabilities,the operation team decided to experiment with a new strategy for its deployment to the *** rover was ejected at a high altitude and made a semi-hard landing on the surface of the asteroid Ryugu after several *** on the orbital analysis around Ryugu,the expected collision speed was tolerable for the rover to function *** the rover could not control its position,its motion was entirely governed by the initial ***,the largest challenge was to insert the rover into a stable orbit(despite its large release uncertainty),and avoid its escape from Ryugu due to an environment strongly perturbed by solar radiation pressure and gravitational *** study investigates the solution space of the orbit around Ryugu and evaluates the orbit’s robustness by utilizing Monte Carlo simulations to determine the orbit insertion *** analyzing the flight data of the rover operation,we verified that the rover orbited Ryugu for more than one period and established the possibility of a novel method for estimating the gravity of an asteroid.
