Fast-neutron （FN） irradiation has been used to create mutagen- ized collections of many plant species （Bolon et al., 2014）, FN- induced mutagenesis has clear advantages： it is an efficient means of saturating the genome, and it does not involve time- consuming plant transformation or tissue culture. In rice, most mutant collections, although highly valuable, were generated us- ing either t-DNA insertion or transposon tagging approaches that often induce mutations unlinked to the insertion and complicating analysis （Wang et al., 2013）. Another disadvantage of some of these collections is that they were created in rice varieties that are photoperiod-sensitive and often have long generation times.

Optimizing the components and morphology within the photoactive layer of organic solar cells(OSCs)can significantly enhance their power conversion efficiency(PCE).A new A-D-A type non-fullerene acceptor IDMIC-4F is designed and synthesized in this work,and is employed as the third component to prepare high performance ternary solar ***-4F can form fibrils after solution casting,and the presence of this fibrillar structure in the PBDB-t-2F:BtP-4F host confines the growth of donors and acceptors into fine domains,as well as acting as transport channels to enhance electron *** junction ternary devices incorporating 10 wt%IDMIC-4F exhibit enhanced light absorption and balanced carrier mobility,and achieve a maximum PCE of 16.6%compared to 15.7%for the binary device,which is a remarkable efficiency for OSCs reported in *** non-fullerene acceptor fibril network strategy is a promising method to improve the photovoltaic performance of ternary OSCs.

Background: Hepcidin is the principal regulator of iron absorption and its tissue distribution. Its correlation with iron homeostasis in individuals infected with human immunodeficiency virus type-1 (HIV-1) treated with different regimens of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAARt) was investigated. Methods: Serum hepcidin levels were determined in 448 volunteers. Of these, 372 were HIV-1-infected individuals, and 93 did not receive HAARt (ARt-naïve) while 279 received HAARt consisting of a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRtI-based) and protease inhibitors (PI-based);both were used in association with a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRtI). Seventy-six additional HIV-1 seronegative individuals were enrolled in the study. the following parameters were quantified: hematological parameters, iron biomarkers and markers of infection (CD4+ and CD8+ t-cells), and HIV-1 RNA (viral load). Results: Serum hepcidin, iron and ferritin levels, as well as the marker of infection, CD4+ t-cells, were significantly lower in the ARt-naïve group compared with other groups. Additionally, transferrin saturation, iron binding capacity, hemoglobin level and erythrocyte level were not significantly different, and anemia was not observed in the different groups. Conclusions: HIV-1 infection affected serum hepcidin, iron and ferritin levels in the ARt-naïve group, and the different HAARt regimens restored the levels of hepcidin and iron homeostasis in HIV-1-infected individuals who have undetectable HIV-1 RNA levels.

Land use Land cover (LULC) has undergone progressive changes worldwide over the years. However, there is limited information available about these changes in Oba Hills Forest Reserve, Nigeria. the existing spatial analysis of the forest excluded important land use classes like settlements. therefore, this study aimed at assessing the dynamics of LULC in Oba Hills Forest Reserve between 1987 and 2019. Images from Landsat 5, Landsat 7, and Landsat 8 for the years 1987, 2001, 2013, and 2019 were obtained and subjected to preprocessing and classification using the maximum likelihood algorithm, change detection, and Normalized Differential Vegetation Index (NDVI). the coordinates of specific benchmark locations and other points were acquired for ground-truthing and developing Digital Elevation Model (DEM). three distinct LULC classes were identified: forest, bare land (including open spaces, agriculture, rocks, and grasslands), and built-up areas. the forest cover in the reserve gradually decreased from 56% in 1987 to 47% in 2019, resulting in a total area loss of 455.4 hectares. Correspondingly, the other LULC classes experienced exponential expansion. Bare land increased from 44% in 1987 to 52% in 2019, while the built-up area expanded by 57.28 hectares. these changes are attributed to prevalent anthropogenic activities such as agriculture, grazing, logging, firewood collection, and population growth within the catchment area. the declining NDVI values in the forest reserve, from 0.52 to 0.44 within the years of assessment, further substantiated the substantial loss of forest cover. the DEM and topographical map highlighted notable steep slopes and elevations of up to over 550 m above sea level (asl) within the reserve, which have implications for forest growth and dynamics. In conclusion, this study reveals extensive rates of forest cover changes into bare land, primarily for agriculture, and settlements, and offers further recommendations to reverse the trend.
