new trends in diagnosis and management of gallbladder carcinoma

A combination of damage locating vector method （DLV） and differential evolution algorithm （DE） for structural damage assessment

In this study, a two-stage method is presented for identifying multiple damage scenarios. In the first stage, the damage locating vector （DLV） method using normalized cumulative energy （nce） is employed for damage localization in structures. In the second stage, the differential evolution algorithm （DE） is used for damage severity of the structures. In addition, in the second stage, a modification of an available objective function is made for handing the issue of symmetric structures. to verify the effectiveness of the present technique, numerical examples of a 72-bar space truss and a one-span steel portal frame are considered. In addition, the effect of noise on the performance of the identification results is also investigated. the numerical results show that the proposed combination gives good assessment of damage location and extent for multiple structural damage cases.

Coffea(coffee) species are grown in almost all countries along the Equator. Many members of the genus have a large production history and an important role both in the global market and researches. Seeds(Coffeae semen) are successfully used in food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical industries due to its caffeine and high polyphenol content. nowadays, the three best-known coffee species are Arabic(Coffea arabica L.), Robusta(Coffea robusta L. Linden), and Liberian coffees(Coffea liberica Hier.). Even though, many records are available on coffee in scientific literature, wild coffee species like Bengal coffee(Coffea benghalensis Roxb. Ex Schult.) could offer many new opportunities and challenges for phytochemical and medical studies. In this comprehensive summary, we focused on the ethnomedicinal, phytochemical, and medical significance of coffee species up to the present.

Management of obstructed colorectal carcinoma in an emergency setting:An update

An Analysis of Peristaltic Flow of a Micropolar Fluid in a Curved Channel

We analyze the two-dimensional peristaltic flow of a micropolar fluid in a curved channel. Long wavelength and low Reynolds number assumptions are used in deriving the governing equations. A shooting method with fourth-order Runge-Kutta algorithm is employed to solve the equations. the influence of dimensionless curvature radius on pumping and trapping phenomena is discussed with the help of graphical results. It is seen that the pressure rise per wavelength in the pumping region increases with an increase in the curvature of the channel. Moreover the symmetry of the trapped bolus destroys in going from strMg＇ht to curved channel.

Moreover,the grain size distribution was outlined versus number fraction.A novel model was proposed to account for the microstructure formation and grain refinement when considering the significant difference of the electrical resistivity properties of the solid and the liquid during EMV processing in the semisolid *** remarkable difference originates uncoupled movement between the mobile solid and the sluggish liquid,which can activate melt *** microstructure evolution can be well explained when the fluid flow intensity versus vibration frequency is taken into ***,the influence of the static magnetic field on texture formation is also considered,which plays an important role at higher vibration frequencies.

Peristaltic flow of couple stress fluid through uniform porous medium

Investigation concerning peristaltic motion of couple stress fluid is made. An incompressible couple stress fluid occupies the porous medium. Mathematical anal- ysis is presented through large wavelength and low Reynolds number. Exact analytical expressions of axial velocity, volume flow rate, pressure gradient, and stream function are calculated as a function of couple stress parameter. the essential feature of the analysis is a full description of influence of couple stress parameter and permeability parameter on the pressure, frictional force, mechanical efficiency, and trapping.

Characterization and Effect of Using Mahua Oil Biodiesel as Fuel in Compression Ignition Engine

there is an increasing interest in India, to search for suitable alternative fuels that are environment friendly. thisled to the choice of Mahua Oil (MO) as one of the main alternative fuels to diesel. In this investigation, MahuaOil Biodiesel (MOB) and its blend with diesel were used as fuel in a single cylinder, direct injection and compressionignition engine. the MOB was prepared from MO by transesterification using methanol and potassiumhydroxide. the fuel properties of MOB are close to the diesel and confirm to the AStM standards. From the enginetest analysis, it was observed that the MOB, B5 and B20 blend results in lower CO, HC and smoke emissionsas compared to diesel. But the B5 and B20 blends results in higher efficiency as compared to MOB. HenceMOB or blends of MOB and diesel (B5 or B20) can be used as a substitute for diesel in diesel engines used intransportation as well as in the agriculture sector.
