An analytical investigation has been proposed to study the subthreshold behavior ofjunctionless gates all around （JLGAA） mOSfEt for nanoscale CmOS analog applications. Based on 2-D analytical analysis, a new subthreshold swing model for short-channel JLGAA mOSfEts is developed. the analysis has been used to calculate the subthreshold swing and to compare the performance of the investigated design and conventional GAA mOSfEt, where the comparison of device architectures shows that the JLGAA mOSfEt exhibits a superior performance with respect to the conventional inversion-mode GAA mOSfEt in terms of the fabrication process and electrical behavior in the subthreshold domain. the analytical models have been validated by 2-D numerical simulations. the proposed analytical models are used to formulate the objectives functions. the overall objective function is formulated by means of a weighted sum approach to search the optimal electrical and dimensional device parameters in order to obtain the better scaling capability and the electrical performance of the device for ultra-low power applications.

the present investigation addresses the simultaneous effects of heat and mass transfer in the mixed convection peristaltic flow of viscous fluid in an asymmetric channel. the channel walls exhibit the convective boundary conditions. In addition, the effects due to Soret and Dufour are taken into consideration. Resulting problems are solved for the series solutions. numerical values of heat and mass transfer rates are displayed and studied. Results indicate that the concentration and temperature of the fluid increase whereas the mass transfer rate at the wall decreases with increase of the mass transfer Biot number. furthermore, it is observed that the temperature decreases with the increase of the heat transfer Biot number.

Sorption characteristics of ion exchange resins 001 × 7, 005 × 8, D72 regarding rare earth metals （REm） during extraction from barren solution of uranium sorption in dynamic conditions were investigated. It was identified that D72 resin capacity on analyzed REm was 2.46 ***-3 after passing 220 BV （bed volume） of initial solution with 95 % recovery of element of REm with the lowest affinity. Researches on REm desorption in dynamic conditions from investigated ion exchange resins by solution of 1.7 mol.L-1 HnO3 and 8.0 mol.L-1 nHnnO3 with 0.2 mol.L-1 HnO3 passing were carded out. It was identified that using desorption solution based on ammonium nitrate allows to achieve acceptable recovery degree of REm from the resin. the possibility of organization of a circulating desorption solution system increases the perspectives of nitrate ammonium solution usage.

this article addresses melting heat transfer in magnetohydrodynamics(mHD)nanofluid flows by a rotating disk. the analysis is performed in Cu-water and Ag-water nanofluids. thermal radiation, viscous dissipation, and chemical reactions impacts are added in the nanofluid model. Appropriate transformations lead to the nondimensionalized boundary layer equations. Series solutions for the resulting equations are *** role of pertinent parameters on the velocity, temperature, and concentration is analyzed in the outputs. It is revealed that the larger melting parameter enhances the velocity profile while the temperature profile decreases. the surface drag force and heat transfer rate are computed under the influence of pertinent parameters. furthermore, the homogeneous reaction parameter serves to decrease the surface concentration.

the evolutionary algorithm, a subset of computational intelligence techniques, is a generic population-based stochastic optimization algorithm which uses a mechanism motivated by biological concepts. Bio-inspired computing can implement successful optimization methods and adaptation approaches, which are inspired by the natural evolution and collective behavior observed in species, respectively. Although all the meta-heuristic algorithms have different inspirational sources, their objective is to find the optimum(minimum or maximum), which is problem-specific. We propose and evaluate a novel synergistic fibroblast optimization(SfO) algorithm, which exhibits the behavior of a fibroblast cellular organism in the dermal wound-healing process. Various characteristics of benchmark suites are applied to validate the robustness, reliability, generalization, and comprehensibility of SfO in diverse and complex situations. the encouraging results suggest that the collaborative and self-adaptive behaviors of fibroblasts have intellectually found the optimum solution with several different features that can improve the effectiveness of optimization strategies for solving non-linear complicated problems.

tin oxide （SnO2） is one of the most promising transparent conducting oxide materials, which is widely used in thin film gas sensors. We investigate the dependence of the deposition time on structural, morphologicaJ and hydrogen gas sensing properties of SnO2 thin films synthesized by dc magnetron sputtering. the deposited samples are characterized by XRD, SEm, Afm, surface area measurements and surface profiler. Also the H2 gas sensing properties of SnO2 deposited samples are performed against a wide range of operating temperature. the XRD analysis demonstrates that the degree of crystallinity of the deposited SnO2 films strongly depends on the deposition time. SEm and Afm analyses reveal that the size of nanoparticles or agglomerates, and both average and rms surface roughness is enhanced with the increasing deposition time. Also gas sensors based on these SnO2 nanolayers show an acceptable response to hydrogen at various operating temperatures.

the viscous dissipation and heat transfer in the Darcy-forchheimer flow by a rotating disk are examined. the partial slip conditions are invoked. the optimal series solutions are computed via the optimal homotopic analysis method(OHAm). the thermophoresis and Brownian motions are studied. the Darcy-forchheimer relation characterizes the porous space. the roles of influential variables on the physical quantities are graphically examined. A reduction in the local nusselt number is observed through thermophoresis and thermal slip parameters. the local Sherwood number depicts an increasing trend for the higher Brownian motion and concentration slip parameters.

Hydrogeological Characteristics of a Karst mountainous Catchment in the northwest of Vietnam

this paper presents a preliminary assessment of the hydrogeological characteristics of a karst mountainous catchment, the Suoi muoi River catchment, in the northwest of Vietnam. the catchment is located at 600–700 m a.s.l. and covers an area of 284 km. Exposed limestone occupies 32% of the total catchment area. Various types of assessments have been carried out, including geological and hydrogeological field surveys, cave surveys, dye-tracer tests, meteorological and surface water monitoring. Geological studies and cave surveys have identified the most important active cave/conduit systems within the catchment. Although these data are essential, they are insufficient to make a comprehensive appraisal of the hydrologic nature of the catchment under interest. An attempt was made to calculate a global water balance of the catchment, based on short-term (15 months) meteorological and streamflow records. the results show that, despite the existence of a number of substantial cavern conduit systems, the groundwater system of the catchment is governed by the fracture/fissure matrix. the cavern conduit systems only collect groundwater from the adjacent fracture matrix and/or connect topographically isolated surface watercourses. the groundwater storage of the cavern conduit systems appears to be regionally insignificant in comparison with the governed fracture matrix groundwater system.
