We investigate the action of time-dependent detunings upon the excitation inversion of a Cooper pair box interacting with a nanomechanical *** method employs the Jaynes–Cummings model with damping,assuming different decay rates of the Cooper pair box and various fixed and time-dependent *** is shown that,when the presence of damping plus constant detunings destroys the collapse/revival effects,convenient choices of time-dependent detunings allow one to reconstruct such events in a perfect *** is also shown that the mean excitation of the nanomechanical resonator is more robust against damping of the Cooper pair box for convenient values of time-dependent detunings.

Analysis of the mechanical behavior of nanos- tructures has been very challenging. Surface energy and non- local elasticity of materials have been incorporated into the traditional continuum analysis to create modified continuum mechanics models. this paper reviews recent advancements in the applications of such modified continuum models in nanostructures such as nanotubes, nanowires, nanobeams, graphenes, and nanoplates. A variety of models for these nanostructures under static and dynamic loadings are men- tioned and reviewed. Applications of surface energy and nonlocal elasticity in analysis of piezoelectric nanomateri- als are also mentioned. this paper provides a comprehensive introduction of the development of this area and inspires fur- ther applications of modified continuum models in modeling nanomaterials and nanostructures.

Mixed convection three-dimensional flow of Jeffrey fluid is studied in the presence of thermal radiation and thermophoresis. the relevant problems are formulated,and series solutions are presented for velocities, temperature, and concentration. Convergence of series solutions is obtained graphically and numerically. Effects of different emerging parameters on the velocities, temperature, and concentration fields are plotted and discussed.

the reactions π-p→ηn and γp→ηp are investigated within a dynamical coupled-channels model of meson production reactions in the nucleon resonance region. the meson-baryon channels included are πN, ηN, π-, σN, and ρN. the direct η-photoproduction process is studied within a formalism based on a chiral constituent quark model approach, complemented with a one-gluon-exchange mechanism, to take into account the breakdown of the SU(6)O(3) symmetry. In the models search, the following known nucleon resonances are embodied: S11(1535), S11(1650), P11(1440), P11(1710), P13(1720), D13(1520), D13(1700), D15(1675), and F15(1680). Data for the π-p→ηn reaction from threshold up to a total center-of-mass energy of W ≈ 2 GeV are satisfactorily reproduced. For the photoproduction channel, two additional higher mass known resonances, P13(1900) and F15(2000), are also considered. However, reproducing the data for γp→ηp requires, within our approach, two new nucleon resonances, for which we extract mass and width.

background:the bismuth-Corlette(bC)classification is used to categorize hilar cholangiocarcinoma by proximal extension along the biliary *** the right hepatic artery crosses just behind the left bile duct,we hypothesized that bCⅢb tumors would have a higher likelihood of local unresectability due to involvement of the contralateral ***:A retrospective review of a prospectively maintained database identified patients with hilar cholangiocarcinoma taken to the operating room for intended curative resection between April 2008 and September *** were assigned bC stages based on preoperative ***:Sixty-eight patients were included in the *** underwent staging laparoscopy after which 16 cases were aborted for metastatic *** the remaining 52 cases,14 cases were explored and aborted for locally advanced ***-eight underwent attempt at curative *** exclud-ing cases aborted for metastatic disease,the chance of proceeding with resection was 55.6%for bCⅢb staged lesions compared to 80.0%of bCⅢa lesions and to 82.4%for bCⅠ-Ⅲa staged lesions(Pbout 44.4%of bCⅢb lesions were aborted for locally advanced disease versus 17.6%of remaining bC ***:When hilar cholangiocarcinoma is preoperatively staged as bCⅢb,surgeons should antici-pate higher rates of locally unresectable disease,likely involving the right hepatic artery.

In this study, C,N,S-doped ZrO2 and a series of Eu doped C,N,S-ZrO2 photocatalysts were synthesized by a coprecipitation method using thiourea as the source of C, N and S and Eu（NO3）·6H2O as source of Eu. the materials were characterized by X-ray dif-fraction （XRD）, Raman spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （FtIR）, UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy （SEM）/energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy （EDX）, and transmission electron microscopy （tEM）. Indigo carmine （IC） was chosen as a model for organic pollutants and used to evaluate the photocatalytic performance of the photo-catalysts under simulated solar light. Commercial ZrO2 was used as a reference material. XRD and Raman results indicated the for-mation of both tetragonal and monoclinic phase ZrO2 with particle size ranging from 8–30 nm. Multi-element doping had a great in-fluence on the optical responses manifested as red shift in the absorption edge. the highest photocatalytic activity towards IC was observed for the Eu,C,N,S-doped ZrO2 （0.6 mol.%Eu） sample （k=1.09×10–2 min–1）. the commercial ZrO2 showed the lowest photo-degradation activity （k=5.83×10–4 min–1）. the results showed that the control of Eu doping in the C,N,S-ZrO2 was very important in reducing electron-hole recombination. the synergistic effect of Eu, C, N, and S in the ZrO2 matrix led to enhanced utilization of simulated solar energy for the degradation of IC through narrowing of bandgaps.

In a previous work [Commun. theor. Phys. 45 （2006） 79] a scheme was presented for approximate and conditional teleportation of an unknown atomic state in a QED-cavity without bell-state measurement via two-photon Jaynes-Cummings model in the effective Hamiltonian approach. this comment presents an alternative method, based on the so called ＂full two-photon Jaynes-Cummings Hamiltonian approach＂. Accordingly, it describes the evolution of the two-photon degenerate process for arbitrary average photon number inside the cavity, as the correct way to implement teleportation in this scenario.
