this paper reports a new simple four-dimensional（4 D） hyperjerk chaotic system. the proposed system has only one stable equilibrium point. Hence, its strange attractor belongs to the category of hidden attractors. the proposed system exhibits various dynamical behaviors including chaotic, periodic, stable nature, and coexistence of various attractors. Numerous theoretical and numerical methods are used for the analyses of this system. the chaotic behavior of the new system is validated using circuit implementation. Further, the synchronization of the proposed systems is shown by designing an adaptive integrator backstepping controller. Numerical simulation validates the synchronization strategy.

An analytical solution for buckling of an eccentrically stiffened sandwich truncated conical shell is investigated. the shell consists of two functionally graded material （FGM） coating layers and a core layer which are metal or ceramic subjected to an axial compressive load and an external uniform pressure. Shells are reinforced by stringers and rings, in which the material properties of shells and stiffeners are graded in the thickness direction following a general sigmoid law distribution. two models of coated shell-stiffener arrangements are investigated. the change of the spacing between stringers in the meridional direction is taken into account. A couple set of three-variable- coefficient partial differential equations in terms of displacement components are solved by the Galerkin method. A closed-form expression for determining the buckling load is obtained. the numerical examples are presented and compared with previous works.

two preselected plant growth promoting rhizobacteria(PGPR) containing 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate(ACC) -deaminase(EC 4.***.99.4) were used to investigate their potential to ameliorate the effects of drought stress on growth,yield,and ripening of pea(Pisum sativum L.) . Inoculated and uninoculated(control) seeds of pea cultivar 2000 were sown in pots(four seeds pot-1) and placed in a wire house. the plants were exposed to drought stress at different stages of growth(vegetative,flowering,and pod formation) by skipping the respective irrigation. Results revealed that inoculation of peas with PGPR containing ACC-deaminase significantly decreased the "drought stress imposed effects" on the growth and yield of peas. Exposure of plants to drought stress at vegetative growth stage significantly decreased shoot growth by 41% in the case of uninoculated plants,whereas,by only 18% in the case of inoculated plants compared to nonstressed uninoculated control. Grain yield was decreased when plants were exposed to drought stress at the flowering and pod formation stage,but inoculation resulted in better grain yield(up to 62% and 40% higher,respectively) than the respective uninoculated nonstressed control. Ripening of pods was also delayed in plants inoculated with PGPR,which may imply decreased endogenous ethylene production in inoculated plants. this premise is further supported by the observation that inoculation with PGPR reduced the intensity of classical "triple" response in etiolated pea seedlings,caused by externally applied ACC. It is very probable that the drought stress induced inhibitory effects of ethylene could be partially or completely eliminated by inoculation with PGPR containing ACC-deaminase.

Experiments were conducted to investigate the forced convective heat transfer and flow friction of turbulent airflow in a rectangular duct with cross-ribs attached at the two principal walls in the Reynolds number range from 5000 to 40000. the effect of the rib cross angle (45° 60° 75° and the height (4 mm, 5 mm) of the cross-ribs on the forced convection and flow friction were tested. Non-dimensional correlations for the duct average Nusselt number and friction factor of cross-ribs duct were developed from the test data. Experiments were also conducted for the corresponding parallel ribs to compare their relative performance. the experimental results show that both of the convective heat transfer coefficient and friction factor were increased with cross-ribs, with 45°cross-ribs being the best. Compared with parallel ribs normal to the flow direction under identical flow rate and identical pumping power constraints, the cross-ribs can enhance heat transfer in the lower Reynolds number region, while

We investigate the action of time-dependent detunings upon the excitation inversion of a Cooper pair box interacting with a nanomechanical *** method employs the Jaynes–Cummings model with damping,assuming different decay rates of the Cooper pair box and various fixed and time-dependent *** is shown that,when the presence of damping plus constant detunings destroys the collapse/revival effects,convenient choices of time-dependent detunings allow one to reconstruct such events in a perfect *** is also shown that the mean excitation of the nanomechanical resonator is more robust against damping of the Cooper pair box for convenient values of time-dependent detunings.

Analysis of the mechanical behavior of nanos- tructures has been very challenging. Surface energy and non- local elasticity of materials have been incorporated into the traditional continuum analysis to create modified continuum mechanics models. this paper reviews recent advancements in the applications of such modified continuum models in nanostructures such as nanotubes, nanowires, nanobeams, graphenes, and nanoplates. A variety of models for these nanostructures under static and dynamic loadings are men- tioned and reviewed. Applications of surface energy and nonlocal elasticity in analysis of piezoelectric nanomateri- als are also mentioned. this paper provides a comprehensive introduction of the development of this area and inspires fur- ther applications of modified continuum models in modeling nanomaterials and nanostructures.

Mixed convection three-dimensional flow of Jeffrey fluid is studied in the presence of thermal radiation and thermophoresis. the relevant problems are formulated,and series solutions are presented for velocities, temperature, and concentration. Convergence of series solutions is obtained graphically and numerically. Effects of different emerging parameters on the velocities, temperature, and concentration fields are plotted and discussed.

the reactions π-p→ηn and γp→ηp are investigated within a dynamical coupled-channels model of meson production reactions in the nucleon resonance region. the meson-baryon channels included are πN, ηN, π-, σN, and ρN. the direct η-photoproduction process is studied within a formalism based on a chiral constituent quark model approach, complemented with a one-gluon-exchange mechanism, to take into account the breakdown of the SU(6)O(3) symmetry. In the models search, the following known nucleon resonances are embodied: S11(1535), S11(1650), P11(1440), P11(1710), P13(1720), D13(1520), D13(1700), D15(1675), and F15(1680). Data for the π-p→ηn reaction from threshold up to a total center-of-mass energy of W ≈ 2 GeV are satisfactorily reproduced. For the photoproduction channel, two additional higher mass known resonances, P13(1900) and F15(2000), are also considered. However, reproducing the data for γp→ηp requires, within our approach, two new nucleon resonances, for which we extract mass and width.
