Influence of yeast on rumen fermentation,growth performance and quality of products in ruminants:A review

this review aims to give an overview of the efficacy of yeast supplementation on growth performance,rumen pH,rumen microbiota,and their relationship to meat and milk quality in *** practice of feeding high grain diets to ruminants in an effort to increase growth rate and weight gain usually results in excess deposition of saturated fatty acids in animal products and increased incidence of rumen *** supplementation of yeast at the right dose and viability level could counteract the acidotic effects of these high grain diets in the rumen and positively modify the fatty acid composition of animal *** exerts its actions by competing with lactate-producing(Streptococcus bovis and Lacto-bacillus)bacteria for available sugar and encouraging the growth of lactate-utilising bacteria(Mega-sphaera elsdenii).*** is known to convert lactate into butyrate and propionate leading to a decrease in the accumulation of lactate thereby resulting in higher rumen ***,this creates a conducive environment for the proliferation of vaccenic acid-producing bacteria(Butyrivibrio fibrisolvens)and ciliate protozoa,both of which have been reported to increase the ruminal concentration of trans-11 and cis-9,trans-11-conjugated linoleic acid(CLA)at a pH range between 5.6 and *** addition of yeast into the diet of ruminants has also been reported to positively modify rumen biohydrogenation pathway to synthesise more of the beneficial biohydrogenation intermediates(trans-11 and cis-9,trans-11).this implies that more dietary sources of linoleic acid,linolenic acid,and oleic acid along with beneficial biohydrogenation intermediates(cis-9,trans-11-CLA,and trans-11)would escape complete bio-hydrogenation in the rumen to be absorbed into milk and ***,further studies are required to substantiate our ***,techniques like transcriptomics should be employed to identify the mRNA transcript expression levels of genes like stearoyl-CoA des

the effect of deep cryogenic treatment on the microstructure, hardness, and wear behavior of D2 tool steel was studied by scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, transmission electron microscopy （tEM）, X-ray diffraction （XRD）, hardness test, pin-on-disk wear test, and the reciprocating pin-on-fiat wear test. the results show that deep cryogenic treatment eliminates retained austenite, makes a better carbide distribution, and increases the carbide content. Furthermore, some new nano-sized carbides form during the deep cryogenic treatment, thereby increasing the hardness and improving the wear behavior of the samples.

this research comprehensively investigates the flow and thermal characteristics of a pulsating impinging jet over a dimpled *** analyzes the impact of key parameters(e.g.,inlet velocity pulsation functions,pulsation frequency,amplitude,dimple pitch,dimple depth,Reynolds number)on flow patterns and heat *** computational fluid dynamics and the Re-normalization group turbulence model are employed to accurately simulate complex turbulent flow *** and average heat transfer coefficients are calculated and compared to steady impingement cases,revealing the potential benefits of pulsation for heat transfer *** study also examines how pulsation-induced flow modulation and thermal mixing affect heat transfer *** indicate that combining fluctuating flow with a dimpled surface can improve heat transfer *** summary,increasing pulsation amplitude consistently enhances heat transfer,while the effect of frequency varies between impinging and wall jet zones.

the social internet of things(SIot)is one of the emerging paradigms that was proposed to solve the problems of network service discovery,navigability,and service *** SIot aims to socialize the Iot devices and shape the interconnection between them into social interaction just like human *** Iot,an object can offer multiple services and different objects can offer the same services with different parameters and interest *** proliferation of offered services led to difficulties during service customization and service *** problem is known as service *** selection of suitable service that fits the requirements of applications and objects is a challenging *** address these issues,we propose an efficient automated query-based service search model based on the local network navigability concept for the *** the proposed model,objects can use information from their friends or friends of their friends while searching for the desired services,rather than exploring a global *** employ a centrality metric that computes the degree of importance for each object in the social Iot that helps in selecting neighboring objects with high centrality *** distributed nature of our navigation model results in high scalability and short navigation *** verified the efficacy of our model on a real-world SIot-related *** experimental results confirm the validity of our model in terms of scalability,navigability,and the desired objects that provide services are determined quickly via the shortest path,which in return improves the service search process in the SIot.

the scouring around bridge foundations is a significant concern in civil engineering. Several research has been conducted experimentally and numerically to study the maximum scour depth around the foundations of a bridge in open channel conditions. In cold regions, where ice forms on lakes, reservoirs, and rivers, the interaction between ice and hydraulic structures is further complicated. the flow distribution varies significantly leading to deeper and larger scouring around bridge foundations. the present study took advantage of the data-driven methods to investigate the impacts of ice conditions to maximum scour depth. In total, 96 datasets were extracted from previous studies. the M5 decision tree, Genetic Expression Programming(GEP), and Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO) were used in data analysis. the models were developed using the train-and-test approach to avoid over-training. the mentioned developed models were further compared with a previous empirical equation associated with the prediction of maximum scour depth around piers under ice conditions. Finally, a sensitivity analysis method was applied to evaluate the performance of the data-driven models. It was found that the approaching velocity and pier diameter play the most crucial role in determination of the maximum scour depth. the result is generally in agreement with those of previous experimental studies.

Due to the increasing prevalence of clarithromycin resistance, future of management of Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) infections need to be recognized. to now, clarithromycin was the best effective, well-tolerated and safe antibiotic used in treatment of the bacterium, but, increasing trend of resistance reduced efficacy of recommended regimens. Indeed, gastroenterologists are mostly unable to start appropriate therapyaccording to the sensitivity profile-due to the certain difficulties in routine H. pylori culture procedure and being time consuming method. this announcement by World Health Organization(WHO) was an onset to reconsider current challenging dilemma about H. pylori clarithromycin resistant isolates. therefore, investigating of various factors affecting this nomination by WHO is highly welcomed. In fact, WHO enumerated more than 16 pathogens which seriously threats human life and public health, thus better management or effective guidelines are necessary. Here for the first time, we nominated this phenomenon as ‘‘gastroenterologist's persistence'' which should be equally investigated as antibiotic resistance. the ability of gastroenterologists to win the game against H. pylori infections is highly influenced by their collaboration with diagnostic laboratories to apply susceptibility patterns before any prescription. In conclusion, closer collaboration between two important partners(gastroenterologists and microbiologists) in management of H. pylori infection may hopefully trigger an era to remedy current crisis in clarithromycin resistance, a later gastric cancer can be practically preventable.

Quantum photodetachment of hydrogen negative ion in a harmonic potential subjected to static electric field

Photodetachment of negative ions has attracted immense interest owing to its fundamental nature and practical implications with regard to technology. In this study, we explore the quantum dynamics of the photodetachment cross section of negative ion of hydrogen H-in the perturbed one dimensional linear harmonic potential via static electric field. to this end,the quantum formula for total photodetachment cross section of the H-ion is derived by calculating the dipole matrix element in spherical coordinates. In order to obtain the detached electron wave function, we have solved the time-independent Schr¨odinger wave equation for the perturbed Hamiltonian of the harmonic oscillator in momentum representation. to acquire the corresponding normalized final state detached electron wave function in momentum space, we have employed an approach analogous to the WKB(Wenzel–Kramers–Brillouin) approximation. the resulting analytical formula of total photodetachment cross section depicts interesting oscillator structure that varies considerably with incident-photon energy,oscillator potential frequency, and electric field strength as elucidated by the numerical results. the current problem having close analogy with the Stark effect in charged harmonic oscillator may have potential implications in atomic and molecular physics and quantum optics.

the main intention of the present study is to reduce wind, wave, and seismic induced vibrations of jacket- type offshore wind turbines （JOWts） through a newly developed vibration absorber, called tuned liquid column gas damper （tLCGD）. Using a Simulink-based model, an analytical model is developed to simulate global behavior of JOWts under different dynamic excitations. the study is followed by a parametric study to explore efficiency of the tLCGD in terms of nacelle acceleration reduction under wind, wave, and earthquake loads. Study results indicate that optimum frequency of the tLCGD is rather insensitive to excitation type. In addition, while the gain in vibration control from tLCGDs with higher mass ratios is generally more pronounced, heavy tLCGDs are more sensitive to their tuned frequency such that ill-regulated tLCGD with high mass ratio can lead to destructive results. It is revealed that a well regulated tLCGD has noticeable contribution to the dynamic response of the JOWt under any excitation.
