Application of HPLC and ESI-MS techniques in the analysis of phenolic acids and flavonoids from green leafy vegetables (GLVs)

Diets containing high proportions of fruits and vegetables reduce the risk of onset of chronic diseases. the role of herbal medicines in improving human health is gaining popularity over the years, which also increases the need for safety and efficiency of these products. Green leafy vegetables （GLVs） are the richest source of phenolic compounds with excellent antioxidant properties. Increased consumption of diets containing phenolic compounds may give positive and better results to human health and significantly improves the immune system. Highly selective, susceptible and versatile analytical techniques are necessary for extraction, identifica- tion, and quantification of phenolic compounds from plant extracts, which helps to utilize their important biological properties. Recent advances in the pre-treatment procedures, separation techniques and spectro- metry methods are used for qualitative and quantitative analysis of phenolic compounds. the online coupling of liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry （LC-MS） has become a useful tool in the metabolic profiling of plant samples. In this review, the separation and identification of phenolic acids and flavonoids from GLVs by LC-MS have been discussed along with the general extraction procedures and other sources of mass spectrometer used. the review is devoted to the understanding of the structural configuration, nature and accumulation pattern of phenolic acids and flavonoids in plants and to highlighting the recent developments in the chemical investigation of these compounds by chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques. It concludes with the advantages of the combination of these two methods and prospects.

the 18 kDa translocator protein(tSPO)located on the outer mitochondrial membrane regulates several key cellular processes including mitochondrial homeostasis,cholesterol transport,apoptosis,cell proliferation,and maintenance of mitochondrial health(Rupprecht et al.,2022,2023).tSPO is expressed in both peripheral organs and the central nervous system,with a more pronounced expression in tissues that produce *** main reason why tSPO has garnered so much attention is because it plays a key role in neurosteroidogenesis by transferring cholesterol from the outer to the inner mitochondrial membrane,which is the rate-limiting step in neurosteroid synthesis.A cholesterol-recognizing amino acid consensus domain has been identified in the cytosolic C terminus of the tSPO protein by both in vitro and site-directed mutagenesis experiments(Li et al.,2001).However,the role of tSPO in the process of neurosteroid synthesis has been challenged by several studies,particularly tSPO knockout models,which suggest that tSPO removal does not affect the phenotype or the system’s viability(tu et al.,2014).However,ligands targeting tSPO have been shown to enhance levels of neurosteroids which suggests that neurosteroidogenesis is one of the major functional roles mediated by the tSPO protein.

Energy Spectra of the Coulomb Perturbed Potential in N-Dimensional Hilbert Space

We deal with the solutions to the radial Schr(o)dinger equation for the Coulomb perturbed potential in Ndimensional Hilbert space by using two methods,*** power series technique via a suitable ansatz to the wavefunction and the Virial *** expressions for eigenvalues and normalized eigenfunctions are derived.A recursion relation among series expansion coefficients,a condition for convergence of series and interdimensional degeneracies are also *** special cases,the problem is solved in 3 and 4 dimensions with some specific parameter *** obtained analytical and numerical results are in good agreement with the results of other studies.

Purification and concentration of gluconic acid from an integrated fermentation and membrane process using response surface optimized conditions

A response surface method was used to optimize the purification and concentration of gluconic acid from fermentation broth using an integrated membrane system. Gluconobacter oxydans was used for the bioconversion of the glucose in sugarcane juice to gluconic acid (concentration 45 g·L^-1) with a yield of 0.9 g·g^-1. the optimum operating conditions, such as trans-membrane pressure (tMP), pH, cross-flow rate (CFR) and initial gluconic acid concentration, were determined using response surface methodology. Five different types of polyamide nanofiltration membranes were screened and the best performing one was then used for downstream purification of gluconic acid in a flat sheet cross-flow membrane module. Under the optimum conditions (tMP=12 bar and CFR=400 L·h^-1), this membrane retained more than 85% of the unconverted glucose from the fermentation broth and had a gluconic acid permeation rate of 88% with a flux of 161 L·m^-2·h^-1. Using response surface methods to optimize this green nanofiltration process is an effective way of controlling the production of gluconic acid so that an efficient separation with high flux is obtained.

A Novel triple-tied-cross-linked PV Array Configuration with Reduced Number of Cross-ties to Extract Maximum Power Under Partial Shading Conditions

Partial shadings cause output power reduction from Photovoltaic(PV)arrays due to mismatch *** selection of PV array configurations play a vital role in maximum power *** paper proposes a novel triple-tied-Cross-Linked(t-t-C-L)configuration to extract maximum power with a lesser number of cross ties than a total-Cross-tied(t-C-t)*** performance of the proposed t-t-C-L configuration has been compared with various conventional PV array configurations,such as Series(S),Parallel(P),Series-Parallel(S-P),Bridge-Link(B-L),Honey-Comb(H-C),and t-C-t under Partial Shading Conditions(PSCs)by considering the 9×9 PV *** PSCs considered are uneven row,column,diagonal,random,short&narrow,short&wide,long&narrow,long&wide shadings and uniform half module *** measures,such as open circuit voltage,short circuit current,maximum power,voltages and currents at maximum power,mismatch losses,fill factor and efficiency have been used for performance analysis of various *** the results,it can be concluded that the performance of the proposed t-t-C-L configuration is optimal compared to other configurations.

Asymptotic Study to the N-Dimensional Radial Schrdinger Equation for the Quark-Antiquark System

Here an asymptotic study to the N-dimensional radial Schrdinger equation for the quark-antiquark interaction potential employing asymptotic iteration method via an ansatz to the wavefunction is carried out. the complete energy spectra of the consigned system is obtained by computing and adding energy eigenvalues for ground state, for large " r" and for small " r". From this analysis, the mass spectra of heavy quarkonia is derived in three dimensions. Our analytical and numerical results are in good correspondence with other experimental and theoretical studies.

Objective:to evaluate anti-psoriatic activity of Coleus forskohlii in rats with imiquimod-induced ***:Imiquimod was used to induce psoriasis in *** weight,skin thickness,erythema,scaling,spleen weight,and histological alternations were measured to assess the effect of Coleus ***,an emulgel formulation containing Coleus forskohlii 10%was prepared and characterized along with its ex vivo permeation ***:the emulgel formulation containing Coleus forskohlii 10%had a pH of 5.40±0.36,with optimum spreadability of(31.67±2.08)g/(cm·s)and viscosity of(15966.67±1274.10)cps,and enhanced both the rate and the extent of drug permeation through psoriatic *** an ex vivo study,the quantity of drug permeated(19.18%),deposited(52.38%),and drug remaining in the donor compartments(28.31%)was *** forskohlii significantly alleviated imiquimod-induced psoriasis by increasing glutathione and superoxide dismutase activity,decreasing malondialdehyde and nitric oxide levels,and alleviating histological alternations in rat ***:Coleus forskohlii can alleviate imiquimod-induced psoriasis,which may be used as a therapeutic candidate for the treatment of psoriasis.
