Object.ve: t.e aim of t.is st.dy was t. describe t.e use of t.e post.art.m int.aut.rine device in t.e mat.rnit. ward of t.e Rat.ma communal medical cent.r in Conakry. Met.ods: t.is was a descript.ve cross-sect.onal st.dy carried out.bet.een July 1st./sup> 2015 and June 30 2016, i.e. a durat.on of one year. Result.: A t.t.l of 551 pat.ent. received advice on various cont.acept.ve met.ods. Most.of t.is advice was given in t.e post.part.m period (40.2%) and during ant.nat.l care (39.1%). Of t.e pat.ent. advised, 87 (15.8%) used t.e int.aut.rine device. t.e majorit. of users (93%) were married and uneducat.d (63.2%), and 39.1% were poor. t.e majorit. (56.3%) of int.a-ut.rine devices were insert.d in t.e immediat. post.part.m period. t.e majorit. of women had no adverse event. eit.er during t.e first.six weeks (n = 57;65.5%) or at.3rd mont.s (n = 75;86.2%) or 6t. mont.s (n = 76;87.4%) aft.r IUD insert.on. Most.users remained complicat.on-free t.roughout.t.e follow-up period (n = 76;87.4% at.6t. weeks and 3rd mont.s, and n = 77;88.5% at.6t. mont.s). t.e cont.nuat.on rat. was 89.7% at.6 weeks and 3rd mont.s, and 87.4% at.6t. mont.s aft.r insert.on. t.e majorit. of users (87.0%) were sat.sfied wit. t.e care t.ey received. Conclusion: t.is st.dy showed very few complicat.ons among int.aut.rine device users, and high cont.nuat.on and sat.sfact.on rat.s. t.e int.aut.rine device is a long-act.ng, effect.ve, reversible and safe cont.acept.ve t.at.can be used by most.women for birt. spacing in Guinea, where women do not.regularly visit.healt. facilit.es.

Int.oduct.on: Sexualit. in t.e post.art.m period is a t.boo subject.t.at.raises many quest.ons, especially among women. t.e aim of t.is st.dy was t. evaluat. t.e influence of fact.rs such as mode of delivery, parit., t.pe of household and level of educat.on on t.e resumpt.on of sexualit., by comparing our result. wit. t.ose in t.e lit.rat.re. Met.ods: t.is is a prospect.ve descript.ve and analyt.cal st.dy, which t.ok place from 3 April t. 2 June 2023 in t.e mat.rnit. ward of t.e Ignace Deen Nat.onal Hospit.l of t.e Universit. Hospit.l Cent.e of Conakry. t.e sample included married women who had given birt. once or several t.mes. Result.: Of 118 married women who had given birt. once or several t.mes and who were quest.oned about.t.eir sexualit. in t.e post.art.m period, 75.42% (89 cases) st.t.d t.at.t.ey had resumed sexual act.vit. in t.e post.art.m period. (t.e majorit. were aged 20 - 29 years (46.61%), pauci pares (51.69%), living in a monogamous household (88.14%), wit. secondary educat.on (44.92%) and self-employed (38.98%). More t.an half (58.47%) of t.ese women had a normal vaginal delivery wit. vulvo-perineal t.ar (5.80%), episiot.my (15.94%) and inst.ument.l ext.act.on (8.69%). t.e main reasons for resuming sexual act.vit. were t.e desire t. sat.sfy t.eir part.er (50.56%) and t. maint.in t.e harmony of t.e couple (29.21%). Resumpt.on of sexual act.vit. was more common in pat.ent. who had given birt. by caesarean sect.on (p = 0.007) and in pat.ent. wit. a higher level of educat.on (p = 0.03). However, it.was not.influenced by parit. or household t.pe. Conclusion: Sexualit. remains a t.boo subject. and it. resurgence in t.e post.art.m period is influenced by t.e mode of delivery and t.e level of educat.on and percept.on of women. Cert.in pract.ces and complicat.ons relat.d t. childbirt. can also influence t.e resumpt.on of sexualit. in t.e post.art.m period.

Malaria is much more common in pregnant.women, especially during t.e t.ird t.imest.r of pregnancy, causing congenit.l infest.t.on. Acut. and severe complicat.ons are not.d, including malignant.malaria access and mat.rnal and fet.l mort.lit.. Met.od: t.is was a t.ree-mont. descript.ve and analyt.cal mult.cent.r st.dy, running from 1st.January t. 31st.March 2015, conduct.d in 16 mat.rnit. hospit.ls at.different.levels of t.e healt. syst.m pyramid. Result.: Out.of a t.t.l of 1772 mot.ers recruit.d for t.is st.dy, 276 cases were t.st.d posit.ve (umbilical cordon and newborn’s heel). Among t.em, we report.d 130 cases t.st.d posit.ve at.newborn’s heel wit. congenit.l infest.t.on confirmed by sampling on day 0, wit. a frequency of 7.3%. t.e average age of t.e mot.ers was 26 ± 14 years. Wit. a predominance in t.e 20 - 35 age group (4.7%). Among mot.ers who were not.exposed t. prevent.ve int.rmit.ent.sulfadoxine pyrimet.amine (IPt.SP) in malaria prevent.on, 6.1% of newborns t.st.d posit.ve. Of t.ese, mot.ers who had less t.an 4 prenat.l visit. during pregnancy had a congenit.l malaria rat. of 7.3%. Conclusion: Congenit.l malaria infest.t.on exist. in newborns despit. adequat. measures used in pregnant.women (SP, ant.malarial drugs). In Guinea, It.is oft.n found in newborns of mot.ers who suffer from malaria during pregnancy and whose prenat.l cares are not.regular.

In developing count.ies, t.eat.ent.of ut.rine fibromyoma is confront.d wit. numerous problems, namely: financial inaccessibilit. t. t.e proposed t.eat.ent., fear of surgery and t.e weakness of t.e t.chnical plat.orm.?Object.ves: t.e object.ves of t.e st.dy were t. calculat. t.e frequency of ut.rine fibromyomas, describe t.e socio-demographic charact.rist.cs of pat.ent., ident.fy t.e main clinical dat. and t. describe t.e modalit.es of surgical management.?Pat.ent. and Met.od:?It.was a mixed descript.ve st.dy, cumulat.ve over a period of 5 years (60 mont.s) wit. dat. collect.on in t.o phases: a 4-year ret.ospect.ve st.dy from January 1, 2015 t. December 31, 2018 and a 1-year prospect.ve st.dy from January 1, 2019 t. December 31, 2019.?Result.: We collect.d 135 cases of ut.rine fibromyomas operat.d on out.of a t.t.l of 260 cases of gynaecological pat.ologies, i.e.?a frequency of 51.92%.?Nulliparous women were t.e most.concerned (45.18%), and women who at.ended school (60%) and t.ose who did not.at.end school (40%). Women at.home and housewives account.d for 42.20% and 54.07% respect.vely. Clinically, t.e circumst.nces of discovery were dominat.d by menomet.orrhagia and menorrhagia respect.vely 77.77% and 68.14%. t.e large ut.rus was t.e most.frequent.physical sign found in 96.29% of cases. Ut.rine fibromyomas were recorded in 86.6% of cases in women wit. genit.l act.vit.. t.e operat.ve indicat.ons were dominat.d by t.e large polymyomat.us ut.rus (64.44%), followed by hemorrhagic fibroma (18.52%).?t.e surgical t.eat.ent.was conservat.ve in 92.60%. t.e t.t.l hyst.rect.my performed in 7.40.?Let.alit. was 1.4%.?Conclusion: t.e surgical management.of fibroids cont.ast. conservat.ve t.eat.ent.(myomect.my) wit. radical t.eat.ent.(hyst.rect.my) wit. mult.ple possible approaches (hyst.roscopy, vaginal surgery, laparoscopy or laparot.my). In our cont.xt. only laparot.my was possible due t. lack of equipment. Laparoscopy and hyst.roscopy equipment.is necessary for less invasive

For t.e aim of synt.esis of t.e carbon-iodine compound, t.e preparat.on of iodin e-included carbon using RF plasma CVD was st.died. Iodine-included carbon was sy nt.esized on Si subst.at. using ICP t.pe RF plasma CVD apparat.s. C2H5OH and I2 dissolved C2H5OH was used as react.nt.gases. As a result. surface morphologies o f Iodine included carbon films showed flat.surfaces for each samples. On t.e st. uct.re of films est.mat.d by Raman spect.oscopy, amorphous carbon was recognized . And I2 peaks were observed in XPS spect.a. As a result.of frict.on t.st. frict.ion coefficient.of t.e sample growt. wit. C2H5OH showed about.0.45. On t.e ot.er hand, t.at.of t.e sample wit. I2-C2H5OH showed about.0.3 and decrease of frict. on coefficient.was recognized. Iodine inclusion for carbon mat.rials can be achi eved by RF plasma CVD using an I2-C2H5OH react.nt. t.e coefficient.of iodine-inc luded carbon showed lower t.an of wit.out.iodine

Met.ane is produced in a microbial elect.osynt.esis syst.m(MES) wit.out.organic subst.at.s. However, a relat.vely high applied volt.ge is required for t.e bioelect.ical *** t.is st.dy, we demonst.at.d t.at.elect.ot.ophic met.ane product.on at.t.e biocat.ode was achieved even at.a very low volt.ge of 0.1 V in an MES, in which abiot.c HS-oxidized t. SO_(4)^(2-) at.t.e anodic carbon-clot. surface coat.d wit. plat.num powder. In addit.on, microbial communit. analysis revealed t.e most.probable pat.way for met.ane product.on from elect.ons. First. elect.ot.ophic H_(2) was produced by synt.ophic bact.ria, such as synt.ophorhabdus, synt.ophobact.r, synt.ophus, Lept.linea, and Aminicenant.les, wit. t.e direct.accept.nce of elect.ons at.t.e biocat.ode. Subsequent.y, most.of t.e produced H_(2) was convert.d t. acet.t. by homoacet.gens, such as Clost.idium and Spirochaet. 2. In conclusion,t.e majorit. of t.e met.ane was indirect.y produced by a large populat.on of acet.clast.c met.anogens, namely Met.anosaet., via acet.t.. Furt.er, hydrogenot.ophic met.anogens,including Met.anobact.rium and Met.anolinea, produced met.ane via H_(2).
