Darcy’s law is widely used t. describe t.e flow in porous media in which t.ere is a linear relat.onship bet.een fluid velocit. and pressure gradient. However, it.has been found t.at.for high numbers of Reynolds t.is law ceases t. be valid. In t.is work, t.e Ergun equat.on is employed t. consider t.e non-linearit. of air velocit. wit. t.e pressure gradient.in cast.ng sands. t.e cont.ibut.on of non-linearit. t. t.e t.t.l flow in t.rms of a variable defined as a non-Darcy flow fract.on is numerically quant.fied. In addit.on, t.e influence of t.e shape fact.r of t.e sand grains on t.e non-linear flow fract.on is analyzed. It.is found t.at.for values of t.e Reynolds number less or equal t.an 1, t.e cont.ibut.on of non-linearit. for spherical part.cles is around 1.15%.

Such compact.d soils wit. low organic mat.er can lead t. low infilt.at.on and poor veget.t.on est.blishment. t.e object.ve of t.is st.dy was t. invest.gat. t.e efficacy of t.llage (shallow t.ll) and compost.on soil physical and biological propert.es in a hydroseeded lawn as a post.const.uct.on best.management.pract.ce for soil compact.on remediat.on. t.e experiment.l sit. received a t.t.l of four land t.eat.ent. in five replicat.d t.ials and it.was hydroseeded wit. common Bermuda grass: 1) No t.llage + Compost.(Nt.C), 2) No t.llage + No Compost.(Nt.NC;cont.ol), 3) t.llage + Compost.(t.C), and 4) t.llage + No Compost.(t.NC). Bulk densit. (BD), infilt.at.on rat. (IR), and wet.aggregat. st.bilit. (WAS) in each plot.were measured t. assess soil physical propert.es while soil organic mat.er (SOM) and enzyme act.vit. (β-glucosidase, acid-phosphat.se, and alkaline-phosphat.se) were measured for soil biological propert.es. Over a 15-mont.s of monit.ring period, t.e shallow t.llage loosened t.e soil init.ally, but.it. effect.on BD wit.out.compost.was diminished t. cont.ol plot.level (Nt.NC) wit.in 4 mont.s aft.r hydroseeding. Bot. t.llage and compost.led t. an increase in IR, and it.remained higher t.an cont.ol by 2 - 3 t.mes t.roughout.t.e observat.on period. t.e WAS and β-glucosidase act.vit. decreased in t.lled plot.unless t.ere was compost.applicat.on. t.rfgrass showed greener leaves and aggregat.d root. in t.e compost.amended plot. (Nt.C and t.C). Our result. suggest.t.at.compost.applicat.on plays a key role in improving soil physical and biological propert.es in hydroseeded lawns from const.uct.on sit.s.

t.e preservat.on of anat.mical pieces in Vet.rinary Anat.my is essent.al since it.is not.possible t. dissect.all domest.c species. Most.t.chniques use reagent. wit. high levels of t.xicit. such as formaldehyde. t.e object.ve of t.is work was t. develop a new preservat.on t.chnique t.at.uses reagent. wit. zero t.xicit. and t.at.allows obt.ining preserved pieces suit.ble for anat.mical st.dies. t.e alcohol propylene glycol t.chnique was developed, t.e met.od of which uses a fixat.on st.p wit. alcohol, sodium chloride, commercial vinegar and subsequent.y t.e impregnat.on of t.e preservat.on solut.on made from propylene glycol and commercial vinegar, which are non-t.xic. As a result.of t.is work, adequat.ly preserved sheep heart. were obt.ined t.at.preserved t.eir morphology wit. slight.changes in size and weight. which did not.affect.t.eir ext.rnal and int.rnal anat.mical st.uct.re. It. colorat.on was not.subst.nt.ally affect.d, remaining a lit.le light.r. t.e pieces obt.ined showed flexibilit. which allowed dissect.ons t. be carried out. t.e t.me t. develop t.e t.chnique was 20 days. A comparat.ve st.dy was carried out.wit. t.e phenolat.d glycerin t.chnique t.at.uses t.xic reagent. (formaldehyde and phenol) and t.e pieces obt.ined wit. t.e alcohol propylene glycol t.chnique were of bet.er qualit., observing t.at.t.e pieces wit. phenolat.d glycerin t.nd t. darken and are more rigid. And t.e t.me t. develop t.e t.chnique is 24 days. In conclusion, a preservat.on t.chnique for anat.mical pieces was developed t.at.allowed t.e preservat.on of t.e organs under st.dy, which allow t.eir use for anat.mical st.dies, and which have been preserved wit.out.changes unt.l t.e t.me of t.is publicat.on (8 mont.s) and t.ere are pieces preserved wit. t.is t.chnique for 2 years.

t.e leaching kinet.cs in cyanide media of t.e silver cont.ined in t.e Dos Carlos wast. t.ilings at.t.e Cit. of Pachuca de Sot., Hidalgo St.t., Mexico were carried out. t.e used mat.rial cont.ined t.e following chemical composit.on: 56 10-6of Ag, 0.6 10 6of Au and 70.43%(by weight. of SiO2; 7.032%(by weight. of Al2O3; 2.69%(by weight. of Fe; 0.46%(by weight. of Mn; 3.98%(by weight. of K2O; 3.34%(by weight. of CaO; 2.50%(by weight. of Na2O; 0.04%(by weight. of Zn; 0.026%(by weight. of Pb. t.e mineralogical phases present.were t.e following: Silica, albit., argent.t., berlinit., ort.oclase, pot.ssium jarosit., and nat.ojarosit.. In t.e leaching kinet.cs in cyanide media, and under t.e st.died condit.ons,t.e effect.of t.e CN concent.at.on on t.e react.on rat. has no effect.on t.e whole process of alkaline cyanidat.on, of which t.e react.on order is n 0. t.mperat.re has an effect.on t.e cyanidat.on rat. of t.e react.on, wit. an act.vat.on energy of 47.9 KJ/mol. At.t.e same t.me, when t.e part.cle size decreases t.ere is an increase in t.e react.on rat., which is inversely proport.onal t. t.e part.cle diamet.r; when increasing t.e NaOH concent.at.on t.ere is an increase in t.e react.on rat. Kexp, wit. a react.on order(n) of 0.215 under t.e st.died ranges.
