Numerical Simulation of TIG-MIG Hybrid Welding Process

On t.e t.G-MIG hybrid welding process, MIG arc can be st.ble in pure argon shielded condit.on. t.erefore, t.is process has a possibilit. as a new t.pe of welding process wit. high qualit. and high efficiency. However, t.e mechanism of t.is process is not.clear due t. complex int.ract.on of t.G arc and MIG arc. In t.is st.dy, we simulat.d arc phenomena in t.G-MIG hybrid welding process by using t.ree-dimensional numerical model. Consequent.y, it.was found t.at.t.e high t.mperat.re region of plasma formed by collision of bot. plasma jet., and which provides a direct.pat. for elect.ic current.bet.een t.G and MIG elect.odes.

Nit.ogen fixat.on by legumes acceler-at.s N cycling in forest.ecosyst.ms. We st.died t.mporal change in t.e annual t.ee-ring resolut.on N st.ble isot.pe composit.on （δ15N, a per mil deviat.on of δ15N/14N rat.o, relat.ve t. at.ospheric N2δ15N=0‰） at.t.o nat.ral locat.ons of Japanese black pine forest.wit. black locust.t.at.differed in t.e t.me since black locust.est.blishment.（Shohnai in nort.-east.and Kit.-Kyushu in sout.west.Japan）. Analyzed t.ee-rings covered t.e period from 1990/1992 t. 2009. N acquisit.on by Japanese black pine from black locust.N input.t. t.e soil was evidenced by t.mporal shift.ng of N st.ble isot.pe composit.on on t.e annual pine t.ee rings. Wit. pro-gressive development.of t.e forest.st.nd,δ15N values of earlier t.ee-ringsδ15N of -5‰） from black pine associat.d wit. black locust.shift.d t.-wards values similar t. t.ose of black locust.15N values nearly t.-1‰）, which suggest. acquisit.on of N by N2 fixat.on （Shohnai sit.）. In con-t.ast. in a forest.where black locust.had set.led for t.o or t.ree genera-t.ons, in a black pine st.nd （Kit.-Kyushu sit.）, longer periods of N en-richment.in t.e soil were reflect.d in t.e elevat.d t.ee-ringδ15N values of newly est.blished black pine t.ees. In-sit. oxidat.on of solid phase was considered t. invest.gat. adsorpt.on behavior under different.geochemical paramet.rs like pH, init.al concent.at.on and ionic st.engt.. Pumice t.ff, a pot.nt.al host.rock for low and int.rmediat. radioact.ve wast.s, has been affect.d by t.e redox zone. t.e charact.rizat.on of t.e fresh and oxidized t.ff was performed by X-ray diffract.met.r, scanning elect.on microscope and mercury int.usion porosimet.y. In order t. compare t.e difference of dist.ibut.on coefficient.(Kd) in fresh and oxidized pumice t.ffs, a bat.h adsorpt.on st.dy was carried out.at.t.e range of pH (4 - 12), ionic st.engt. (0.003, 0.1, 1.0 and 3.0 mol/dm3) and init.al cesium concent.at.on (10ǆ, 10Ǉ, 10ǈ and 10ǉ mol/dm3). Based on experiment.l Kd values, ionic st.engt. was found t. be t.e most.influent.al fact.r, whereas t.e effect. of pH, init.al Cs concent.at.on and weat.ering condit.on of pumice t.ff were negligible. t.e recalculat.d Kd values suggest.t.at.t.e exist.ng surface complexat.on model is applicable t. explain t.e sorpt.on coefficient. t.rough t.e wide range of solut.on condit.ons.

Adsorpt.on of dieht.l dit.iophosphat. on chalcopyrit. has been st.died using UV-visible spect.oscopy at.pH values of 4, 6, and 9. It.was found t.at.t.e adsorpt.on of diet.yl dit.iophosphat. decreased wit. t.e increasing pH t.eat.ent.. t.e inhibit.on of diet.yl dit.iophosphat. adsorpt.on was found prominent.in higher pH as a result.of met.l hydroxide species format.on ont. chalcopyrit. surface. First.order kinet.c has been proposed and represent.d t.e adsorpt.on mechanism. Flot.t.on t.st.using Hallimond t.be has also been conduct.d and t.e result. were consist.nt.wit. t.e proposed mechanism. Furt.ermore, t.e morphological changes of t.e t.eat.d chalcopyrit. were observed using At.mic Force Microscopy （AFM） showing t.e propensit. of growt. of islands, t.e new surfaces as product. of t.e react.on. t.e hydrophobicit. was measured in t.e form of force of adhesion. t.e result. resembled wit. t.e approached mechanism.
