Supercrit.cal Fluid Ext.act.on (SFE) is emerg.ng.as a powerful t.chnique in t.e ext.act.on of met.l ions. In t.e present.st.dy, t.e ext.act.on of nit.at.s of uranium and t.orium was carried out.using.supercrit.cal carbon dioxide (Sc-CO2) modified wit. various org.nophosphorous compounds such as dialkylalkyl phosphonat.s, t.ialkyl phosphat.s and t.ialkyl phosphine oxides in t.e presence of co-solvent. such as met.anol, dichlormet.ane and n-hexane. t.e influence of lig.nd and co-solvent.on t.e ext.act.on of t.e met.l nit.at.s was st.died in det.il. t.ese st.dies have est.blished t.at.co-solvent.plays an import.nt.role in t.e ext.act.on as well as fract.onat.on of uranium and t.orium nit.at.s. Polar co-solvent. met.anol provided fast.r ext.act.on wit.out.fract.onat.on whereas t.e non-polar solvent. e.g. n-hexane provided some fract.onat.on of met.l nit.at.s t.oug. t.e ext.act.on kinet.cs was slower.

Dat. of t.e ME volt.g. coefficient.have been obt.ined as funct.ons of bias mag.et.c field H, t.mperat.re and frequency. t.e t.ansverse coupling.is st.ong.r t.an t.e long.t.dinal int.ract.ons and a maximum in t.e ME volt.g. coefficient.is measured at.225K. t.e frequency dependence of t.e ME volt.g. coefficient.reveals a peak at.t.e elect.omechanical resonance due t. radial modes.

A t.ermally g.own oxide layer formed by hot.corrosion was invest.g.t.d as an int.rface bet.een plasma-sprayed coat.ng. and a nickel-based superalloy subst.at.. t.e hot.corrosion mechanism of NiCr–Cr_2O_3 and Al_2O_3–40wt. t.O_2(A40t. plasma coat.d Inconel 617 was evaluat.d. t.e experiment. were carried out.at.1000°C using.a combinat.on of Na_2SO_4, NaCl, and V_2O_5 salt. t. simulat. t.e condit.ons of a g.s t.rbine in a marine environment. t.e hot.corrosion result. revealed t.e spallat.on and dissolut.on of oxides upon prolong.d exposure. Opt.cal imag.s and scanning.elect.on microg.aphs of t.e exposed samples revealed t.e format.on of oxide scale and provided det.ils of it. morpholog. in NiCr–Cr_2O_3 coat.d samples.
