Nitrogen(N) metabolism related enzyme activities,cell uitrastructure and nutrient contents as affected by N level and barley genotype

Development of the new crop cultivars with high yield under low nitrogen （N） input is a fundamental approach to enhance agricultural sustainability, which is dependent on the exploitation of the elite germplasm. In the present study, four barley genotypes （two Tibetan wild and two cultivated）, differing in N use efficiency （NUE）, were characterized for their physiolog- ical and biochemical responses to different N levels. Higher N levels significantly increased the contents of other essential nutrients （P, K, Ca, Fe, Cu and Mn）, and the increase was more obvious for the N-efficient genotypes （ZD9 and XZ149）. The observation of ultrastructure showed that chloroplast structure was severely damaged under low nitrogen, and the two high N efficient genotypes were relatively less affected. The activities of the five N metabolism related enzymes, i.e., nitrate reductase （NR）, glutamine sy＇nthetase （GS）, nitrite reductase （NiR）, glutamate synthase （GOGAT） and glutamate dehydrogenase （GDH） all showed the substantial increase with the increased N level in the culture medium. However the increased extent differed among the four genotypes, with the two N efficient genotypes showing more increase in com- parison with the other two genotypes with relative N inefficiency （HXRL and XZ56）. The current findings showed that a huge difference exists in low N tolerance among barley genotypes, and improvement of some physiological traits （such as enzymes） could be helpful for increasing N utilization efficiency.

We present the development of a bias compensating reinforcement learning(RL)algorithm that optimizes thermal comfort(by minimizing tracking error)and control utilization(by penalizing setpoint deviations)in a multi-zone heating,ventilation,and air-conditioning(HVAC)lab facility subject to unmeasurable disturbances and unknown *** is shown that the presence of unmeasurable disturbance results in an inconsistent learning equation in traditional RL controllers leading to parameter estimation bias(even with integral action support),and in the extreme case,the divergence of the learning *** demonstrate this issue by applying the popular Q-learning algorithm to linear quadratic regulation(LQR)of a multi-zone HVAC environment and showing that,even with integral support,the algorithm exhibits bias issue during the learning phase when the HVAC disturbance is unmeasurable due to unknown heat gains,occupancy variations,light sources,and outside weather *** address this difficulty,we present a bias compensating learning equation that learns a lumped bias term as a result of disturbances(and possibly other sources)in conjunction with the optimal control *** results show that the proposed scheme not only recovers the bias-free optimal control parameters but it does so without explicitly learning the dynamic model or estimating the disturbances,demonstrating the effectiveness of the algorithm in addressing the above challenges.

In this article Fischer–Tropsch(FT) synthesis was studied over cobalt nanoparticles supported on modifed Montmorillonite(Zr-PILC).Co-loaded/Zr-PILC catalysts were synthesized by hydrothermal methods and were characterized by XRD,XRF,BET,H2-TPR,TGA and SEM *** reactions were carried out in fxed bed microreactor(T 225 1C,260 1C and 275 1C,P 1,5 and 10 bars).The FT-products obtained over Co-loaded/Zr-PILC catalysts showed increased selectivity of C2–C12hydrocarbons and decreased selectivity towards CH4and higher molecular weight hydrocarbons(C21) at a TOS of 2–30 h as compared to the Co-loaded/NaMMT *** increase in reaction temperature from225 1C to 275 1C,CO-conversion and CH4selectivity increases while that of C5+hydrocarbons *** in CH4selectivity while increase in C5+hydrocarbons and CO-conversion were observed on increasing the pressure of reaction.

Pseudomyxoma peritonei(PMP) is a mucinous tumour of the appendix that spreads into the peritoneal cavity in the form of gelatinous deposits. The incidence of PMP is believed to be approximately 1-3 out of a million per year. Nonetheless, due to its indolent nature, it is usually discovered at an advanced stage and severely impacts quality of life. Curative treatment for PMP is complete cytoreductive surgery(CRS) with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy(HIPEC). An extensive literature review was conducted searching EMBASE, MEDLINE, Pub Med, and Google Scholar databases for PMP in aims to delineate a clinical approach to diagnosis and treatment. Literature was limited to the years 2007-2018. We found the 5-year overall survival with CRS and HIPEC estimated to be between 23%-82% and rates of major complications as high as 24%. Therefore, it is important to appropriately stage and select patients that should undergo CRS with HIPEC. Modalities like MDCT radiological scores have been shown to have sensitivity and specificity of 94% and 81%, respectively, in being able to predict resectability and survival. Despite treatment, the disease often recurs. Tumor markers have significant potential for establishing prognosis preoperatively, and this paper will review the most recent evidence in support of them.

In this paper, synthesis and anticancer activities of morpholine hydrazones scaffold（1-17） thoroughly studied. Small series of morpholine hydrazones synthesized by treating 5-morpholinothiophene-2-carbaldehyde with different aryl hydrazides to form morpholine hydrazones scaffold（1-17）. The in vitro anticancer potential of all these compounds was checked against human cancer cell lines like Hep G2（human hepatocellular liver carcinoma） and MCF-7（human breast adenocarcinoma）. Analogs 13 had similar substantial cytotoxic effects towards Hep G2 with IC_（50） value 6.31±1.03μmmol/L when compared with the standard Doxorubicin（IC_（50）value 6.00±0.80μmmol/L）; while compounds 5,8 and 9 showed potent cytotoxicity against MCF-7 with IC_（50） value 7.08±0.42μmmol/L, 1.26±0.34μmmol/L and11.22±0.22μmmol/L respectively when compared with the standard Tamoxifen（IC_（50）= 11.00±0.40μmol/L）. Molecular docking studies also performed to understand the binding interaction.

We study the interaction between dark energy （DE） and dark matter in the scope of anisotropic Bianchi type-I space-time. First we derive the general form of the DE equation of state （EoS） parameter in both non-interacting and interacting cases and then we examine its future by applying a hyperbolic scale factor. It is shown that in the non-interacting case, depending on the value of the anisotropy parameter K, the DE EoS parameter varies from phantom to quintessence whereas in the interacting case the EoS parameter varies in the quintessence region. However, in both cases, the DE EoS parameter ωde ultimately （i.e. at z ： -1） tends to the cosmological constant （ωde = -1）. Moreover, we fix the cosmological bound on the anisotropy parameter K by using recent observational data about the Hubble parameter.

The aim of this study was to compare the quality characteristics and mineral content of the fiber from male and female cashmere goats raised under different management systems. Male and female Raeini cashmere goats （〈1.5 years of age, n=48） were selected from flocks raised at a government breeding station or raised commercially under either rural or nomadic conditions. The staple length, cashmere fiber diameter, coefficient of variation for fiber diameter, percentage of cashmere in a fleece, percentage of guard hair in a fleece and cashmere tenacity averaged 4.6 ±0.1 cm, 18.0 ±0.1 um, 20.9±0.4%, 66.1 ± 1.5%, 33.8± 1.5% and 1.8±0.2 gf/tex, respectively. The sulfur, copper and zinc content of the cashmere averaged 2.8 ± 0.1%, 0.00065 ± 0.00002% and 0.01276 ± 0.00025%, respectively. Rearing method significantly affected staple length, coefficient of variation of fiber diameter, cashmere tenacity and copper content. Males had a higher coefficient of variation of fiber diameter and cashmere tenacity than females （P 〈 0.05）.
