Cartesian Product Based Transfer Learning Implementation for Brain Tumor Classification

Knowledge-based transfer learning techniques have shown good performance for brain tumor classification,especially with small ***,to obtain an optimized model for targeted brain tumor classification,it is challenging to select a pre-trained deep learning(DL)model,optimal values of hyperparameters,and optimization algorithm(solver).This paper first presents a brief review of recent literature related to brain tumor ***,a robust framework for implementing the transfer learning technique is *** the proposed framework,a Cartesian product matrix is generated to determine the optimal values of the two important hyperparameters:batch size and learning *** extensive exercise consisting of 435 simulations for 11 state-of-the-art pre-trained DL models was performed using 16 paired hyperparameters from the Cartesian product matrix to input the model with the three most popular solvers(stochastic gradient descent with momentum(SGDM),adaptive moment estimation(ADAM),and root mean squared propagation(RMSProp)).The 16 pairs were formed using individual hyperparameter values taken from literature,which generally addressed only one hyperparameter for optimization,rather than making a grid for a particular *** proposed framework was assessed using a multi-class publicly available dataset consisting of glioma,meningioma,and pituitary *** assessment shows that ResNet18 outperforms all other models in terms of accuracy,precision,specificity,and recall(sensitivity).The results are also compared with existing state-of-the-art research work that used the same *** comparison was mainly based on performance metric“accuracy”with support of three other parameters“precision,”“recall,”and“specificity.”The comparison shows that the transfer learning technique,implemented through our proposed framework for brain tumor classification,outperformed all existing *** the best of our knowledge,the proposed framework is a

This study provides details of the energy management architecture used in the Goldwind microgrid test bed. A complete mathematical model, including all constraints and objectives, for microgrid operational management is first described using a modified prediction interval scheme. Forecasting results are then achieved every 10 min using the modified fuzzy prediction interval model, which is trained by particle swarm optimization.A scenario set is also generated using an unserved power profile and coverage grades of forecasting to compare the feasibility of the proposed method with that of the deterministic approach. The worst case operating points are achieved by the scenario with the maximum transaction cost. In summary, selection of the maximum transaction operating point from all the scenarios provides a cushion against uncertainties in renewable generation and load demand.

Along with conventional methods, this paper proposed a method in which 1 D and 3 D models are integrated to identify the self-sourced reservoir potential of the Farewell Formation in the Kupe Gas Field within the Taranaki Basin, New Zealand. Source rock characteristics were evaluated at both field and basin scales by investigating source rock maturity, type of organic matter,and hydrocarbon generation potential by rock pyrolysis,using Rock-Eval 2 and 6. The 1 D thermal and burial history model established the rate of sedimentation and thermal history of the Kupe 4 well. Reservoir characterization at field-scale was determined by seismic interpretation, well log analysis, and 3 D structural and petrophysical models. The sediments of the Farewell Formation contain types II-III（oil/gas prone） and type III（gas prone） and have fair-to-excellent generation potential. The oxygen and hydrogen indices ranged from 3 to 476 mg CO2/g TOC and 26 to 356 mg HC/g TOC, respectively, whereas the thermal maturity determined by vitrinite reflectance values ranged between 0.3% and 0.72%, indicating that the Farewell Formation is in immature-to-mature hydrocarbon generation stage. Thus, Farewell Formation was verified to be a good source rock. Additionally, structural interpretations demonstrated the structural complexity of an extensional and contractional regime within the reservoir package. Multiple faults indicated a good reservoir property there with a trapping mechanism as well as migration paths. A well-log-based petrophysical analysis established the presence of up to 70% hydrocarbon saturation within the pore spaces of Farewell *** 3 D models confirmed that the Farewell Formation has significant sand zones and hydrocarbon-saturated zones,thereby proving its very good reservoir characteristics. It has been proved that the 1 D and 3 D structural schemes,integrated with geological techniques, was vital in identifying the Kupe Field as a self-sourced reservoir.

Analysis of genetic relationship in mutant silkworm strains of Bom-byx mori using inter simple sequence repeat (ISSR) markers

Amplified inter simple sequence repeats （ISSR） markers were used to determine genetic relationships among mutant silkworm strains of Bombyx mori. Fifteen ISSR primers containing simple sequence repeat （SSR） motifs were used in this study. A total of 113 markers were produced among 20 mutant strains, of which 73.45% were found to be polymorphic. In selected mutant genetic stocks, the average number of observed allele was （1.7080 ± 0.4567）, effective alleles （1.5194 ± 0.3950） and genetic diversity （Ht）（0.2901 ± 0.0415）. The dendrogram produced using the unweighted pair group method with arithmetic means （UPGMA） and cluster analysis made using Nei＇s genetic distance resulted in the formation of one major group containing 6 groups separated 20 mutant silkworm strains. Therefore, ISSR amplification is a valuable method for determining the genetic variability among mutant silkworm strains. This efficient molecular marker would be useful for characterizing a considerable number of silkworm strains maintained at the germplasm center.

For lack of deep research on model, system structure and top-level design, the integrated system concept of energy, information and transportation networks fails to provide effective guidance for transferring the theory to practice. In this paper, with dispatching of energy flow and information flow as a focus, clean energy of wind power and solar power as carrier, battery charging & swapping station as medium and all kinds of transportation flows as entity, a five-in-one threenetwork integrated system model is built by full use of technologies of Internet of Vehicles(IOV) and Internet of things(IOT) to promote the innovative concept of three-network integration into practice, and provide a reference for future researches.

We consider the flow of an incompressible viscous Maxwell fluid between two parallel plates, initially induced by a constant pressure gradient. The pressure gradient is withdrawn and the upper plate moves with a uniform velocity while the lower plate continues to be at rest. The arising flow is referred to as run-up flow. The unsteady governing equations are solved as initial value problem using Laplace transform technique. The expression for velocity, shear stresses on both plates and discharge are obtained. The behavior of the velocity, shear stresses and mass flux has been discussed in detail with respect to variations in different governing flow parameters and is presented through graphs.

The high speed protection of power system for transmission and primary distribution networks are the most important issue in the selective tripping of the power plant. In order to solve this problem high speed automatic reclosure is continuously in development with state of the art technology used. The economic and technical advantages of distance protection are considerably large enough because the main advantage of it is that the range of the fault detection in the line is not depends on the changes in the source impedance.The main factors that effects the effectiveness of the traditional distance relaying schemes in single line to ground, double line to ground and specially in simultaneous open conductor fault are the variation in fault resistance, power flow direction as well as magnitude. In this thesis, the work is presented that will discuss about the aforementioned problems of conventional distance relaying methods in doubly fed transmission system. An accurate digital distance relaying scheme integrated with artificial neural network impedance estimator is developed using the conventional method impedance after removal of the error impedance from it using modified scheme. The modified scheme is immune to the variation in fault location for under reach and overreach problem caused by sequence current components. A series of test conducted on a800kV,400km transmission line for single phase to ground faults as well as simultaneous open conductor fault in PSCAD/EMTP and Matlab/Simulink. Finally comparison has been done with the conventional methods in order to check the accuracy and robustness of the proposed scheme which is found to be97%.
