The road construction industry aims to contribute to the protection of already compromised *** mix asphalt(CMA)is a measure initiated by the road industry to protect the environment and preserve *** having additional benefits,CMA has attracted little attention due to its inferior ***'s performance is enhanced using a sustainable binder bio-modifier,natural cup lump rubber(CLR)is one of *** study evaluated the tensile properties,rutting,moisture susceptibility,and adhesion properties of CLR-modified CMA(CMA-CR).The tensile property was enhanced by 26%due to CLR ***-CR had excellent rutting resistance of less than 2 mm rut depth at 10,000 load cycles,showing 70%improvement compared with conventional *** susceptibility evaluation indicated that CMA-CR had tensile strength ratio(TSR)value of 104%,satisfying the minimum 80%requirement of AASHTO *** also retained more than 96%bitumen *** moisture damage resistance was improved by 12%and 10%in terms of TSR and stripping,*** durability results revealed that the CMA-CR mixture prevented higher mass loss,representing 14%improvement compared with conventional CMA.

The enhanced power quality provided by multilevel inverters(MLIs)has made them more appropriate for medium-and high-power applications,including photovoltaic ***,a prevalent limitation involves the necessity for numerous switches and increased voltage stress across these switches,consequently increasing the overall system *** address these challenges,a new 17-level asymmetrical MLI with fewer components and low voltage stress is proposed for the photovoltaic *** innovative MLI configuration has four direct current(DC)sources and 10 *** on the trinary sequence,the proposed topology uses photovoltaics with boost converters and fuzzy logic controllers as its DC *** equations are used to calculate cru-cial parameters for this proposed design,including total standing voltage per unit(TSVPU),cost function per level(CF/L),component count per level(CC/L)and voltage stress across the *** comparison is conducted by considering switches,DC sources,TSVPU,CF/L,gate driver circuits and CC/L with other existing MLI *** analysis is carried out under various conditions,encompassing different levels of irradiance,variable loads and modulation *** reduce the total harmonic distortion of the suggested topology,the phase opposition disposition approach has been *** suggested framework is simulated in MATLAB®/Simulink®.The results indicate that the proposed topology achieves a well-distributed stress profile across the switches and has CC/L of 1.23,TSVPU of 5 and CF/L of 4.58 and 5.76 with weight coefficients of 0.5 and 1.5,*** values are not-ably superior to those of existing MLI *** results demonstrate that the proposed topology maintains a consistent output at varying irradiance levels with FLCs and exhibits robust performance under variable loads and diverse modulation ***,the total harmonic distortion achieved with phase opposition disposi

To investigate the levels of arsenic(As)in the groundwater and drinking water of primary schools and their potential impact on human health is main objective of this *** assess risk,the following parameters i.e.,carcinogenic indices(CI),hazardous indexes(HI),carcinogenic risk(CR),and hazardous quotient(HQ)have been measured for both dermal and oral arsenic *** study has been focused on primary schools located in four tehsils of Multan,where water samples were *** levels,with concentrations ranging from 3.31 to 191 mg/l,exceeding the safe limit set by the World Health Organization(WHO)have been detected in 99.9%of the *** results show that arsenic content ranged from 3.31 to 191 mg/l,with 99.9%of the samples exceeding the World Health Organization's safe limit of 10 mg/*** CR and CI exceeded the USEPA limit of 10–6 in all four tehsils ranged from 2.6×10^(-6) to 9.4×10^(-6) and 0.00023 to 0.0009 respectively in both dermal and oral cases.,Multan Sadar(1.51,1.39)and Multan City(1.76,1.71)exhibited HI and HQ values that surpassed the threshold of 1.0,signaling a significant likelihood of chronic and cancer-causing health consequences for individuals who are exposed to polluted water causing *** findings suggest that the groundwater in the Multan district poses a significant health risk to humans due to high levels of arsenic *** contamination is associated with an increased risk of mortality from internal cancers(including liver,kidney,lung,and bladder),as well as a higher HI&CI incidence of skin ***,pregnancy outcomes are affected,with associations found between arsenic exposure and lower birth weight,and infant *** researchers propose that water supply organizations and educational institutions promptly take measures to ensure that the affected areas have access to arsenic-free drinking water for the well-being of students and residents.

Sprouts are ready-to-eat and are recognized worldwide as functional components of the human *** advances in innovative agricultural techniques could enable an increase in the production of healthy *** use of light-emitting diode(LED)in indoor agricultural production could alter the biological feedback loop,increasing the functional beneﬁts of plant foods such as wheat and lentil sprouts and promoting the bioavailability of *** effects of white(W),red(R),and blue(B)light were investigated on the growth parameters and nutritional value of wheat and lentil *** the laboratory,seeds were sown under three different LED treat-ments:white,red,and blue light,while normal incandescent light served as a *** seed germina-tion improved by 18.34%and 12.67%for wheat and 18.34%and 12.67%for lentil sprouts under LED treatments R and B,*** increase in total soluble protein and sugar by 33.4%and 9.23%in wheat and by 31.5%and 5.87%in lentils was observed under the R LED *** C concentrations in wheat and lentils were signiﬁcantly increased by R LED compared to all other *** parameters,including potassium and sodium concentrations,were signiﬁcantly increased under red and blue light compared to the control;white light,on the other hand,signiﬁcantly decreased all these *** to the experimental data,red and blue LED light could be beneﬁcial in the production of functional wheat and lentil sprouts with high nutrient concentrations.

The present study focuses on the isolation of bacterial pathogens from waste disposal sites,and examination of their efficiencies for degrading various *** bacterial isolates such as ***,Corynebacterium spp.,Micrococcus spp.,Azotobacter spp.,Pseudomonas spp.,Staphylococcus spp.,and Bacillus *** *** *** the highest percentage reduction in black plastic weight(47.46%),while Corynebacterium spp.,and *** achieved a maximum reduction of 45.76 and 46.42%for pink plastic *** *** Micrococcus *** notable reductions of 46.43%and 56.60%in white and Canteen Stores Department(CSD)biodegradable plastics,*** density(OD)measurements revealed that bacterial isolates achieved maximum OD values with CSD plastics,emphasizing their proficiency in plastic *** Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR)confirmed the degradation process,with a decrease in the peak value from 2916 to 2914 cm^(-1) for pink plastic,signifying alkane,and alkene *** new peaks at 1398,1371,and 1361 cm^(-1) in the FTIR spectrum of CSD plastic indicated presence of *** Electron Microscopic(SEM)micrographs illustrated bacterial colonization,cracks,and spots on plastic surfaces,while Xray Diffraction(XRD)spectra showed peaks at 4.083,3.705,3.020,and 1.909,suggesting plastic *** conclusion,soil of waste disposal site harbored diverse microbial species,and have highlighted their effectiveness in mitigating environmental pollution by degrading hazardous plastic waste.

Selenium is a crucial trace element that contributes to physiological processes in the body as selenoproteins. Selenoproteins serve as an integral role in the body in controlling the redox state of cells and protecting against damage induced by oxidative stress. This study aimed to investigate the effects and possible mechanism of selenium on selenoproteins expression in ***926 cells induced by oxLDL. The impact of selenium on the viability of ***926 cells was detected by the MTT method， and intracellular ROS level and mitochondrial membrane potential were assessed by fluorescent probe DCFH-DA and JC-1， respectively. RNA-seq， quantitative real-time PCR (RT-qPCR)， and western blot were used to investigate the selenoprotein expression. Selenoprotein mRNA translation efficiency was analyzed by ribosome profiling (Ribo-Seq) coupled with transcriptomics. Our data showed that selenium supplementation (0.5 μmol/L) significantly decreased ROS production， reduced mitochondrial inner membrane potential and increased the proliferative activity of ***926 cells induced by oxLDL. Moreover， The protective effects of selenium against oxLDL-induced ***926 cell injury were associated with the upregulation of the expressions of selenoproteins GPX1， GPX4， and TXNRD1. Furthermore， the expressions of selenoproteins GPX1 and GPX4 were hierarchically controlled， but the expressions of selenoproteins TXNRD1 were mainly regulated by oxLDL. Finally， Ribo-Seq coupled with transcriptomics results demonstrated that the expressions of selenoproteins GPX1， GPX4， and TXNRD1 were regulated at the translation process level. These findings suggested that selenium could have preventive effects in oxLDL induced ***926 cell injury by regulating the selenoprotein expression， and the selenoproteins expressions at the translation level in vascular endothelial cells need further study.

Paediatric cardiac disease is an established cause of ischemic stroke in the neonatal and infantile groups. These diseases may be congenital or acquired. However, clinical myocarditis is in itself, relatively uncommon in older children. The most common pathogen is Coxsackie virus B. The offending agent instigates an immune response, which causes myocardial oedema with eventual systolic and diastolic dysfunction. Cardioembolic stroke can occur secondary to an intra-mural thrombus in a dysfunctional atrium or ventricle. We describe the case of an adolescent male with acute myocarditis complicated by a thromboembolic stroke. After initial management of acute pulmonary oedema and heart failure with restricted ejection fraction (HFrEF), the child developed seizure-like symptoms on the 10th day of hospitalization, prompting urgent neuro-radio diagnosis, which revealed acute infarcts in the cerebellum and frontal lobe of the cerebrum. We believe this case to be of clinical relevance because;1) The diagnosis of an acute stroke in children is often delayed due to the atypical clinical presentation and often the absence of traditional stroke-like symptoms, and 2) There is a lack of sufficient high-quality evidence regarding the predictors and the immediate management of stroke in paediatric heart disease, as well as inadequate data on prevalence and incidence in paediatric cardioembolic strokes.

There is shortage of organs,including kidneys,*** with deceased kidney transplantation,there is a significant rise in live kidney *** prevalence of prediabetes(PD),including impaired fasting glucose and impaired glucose tolerance,is on the rise across the *** teams frequently come across prediabetic kidney donors for *** are at risk of diabetes,chronic kidney disease,cardiovascular events,stroke,neuropathy,retinopathy,dementia,depression and nonalcoholic liver disease along with increased risk of all-cause ***,most of the studies done in prediabetic kidney donors are retrospective in nature and have a short follow up *** is lack of prospective long-term studies to know about the real risk of complications after ***,there are variations in recommendations from various guidelines across the globe for donations in prediabetics,leading to more confusion among *** increases the responsibility of transplant teams to take appropriate decisions in the best interest of both donors and *** review focuses on pathophysiological changes of PD in kidneys,potential complications of PD,other risk factors for development of type 2 diabetes,a review of guidelines for kidney donation,the potential role of diabetes risk score and calculator in kidney donors and the way forward for the evaluation and selection of prediabetic kidney donors.
