In this ed.torial,we comment on the article by Zhou et *** stud. reveals the connection between ferroptosis and.pyroptosis and.the effect of silent information regulator sirtuin 1(SIRT1)activation in acute liver failure(ALF).ALF is characterized.by a sud.en and.severe liver injury resulting in significant hepatocyte d.mage,often posing a high risk of *** pred.minant form of hepatic cell d.ath in ALF involves apoptosis,ferroptosis,autophagy,pyroptosis,and.*** peroxid.se 4(GPX4)inhibition sensitizes the cell to ferroptosis and.triggers cell d.ath,while Gasd.rmin d.GSd.d.is a med.ator of *** stud. showed.that ferroptosis and.pyroptosis in ALF are regulated.by blocking the p53/GPX4/GSd.d.pathway,brid.ing the gap between the two *** inhibition of p53 elevates the levels of GPX4,red.cing the levels of inflammatory and.liver injury markers,ferroptotic events,and.GSd.d. protein *** p53 expression and.increased.GPX4 on d.letion of GSd.d.ind.cated.ferroptosis and.pyroptosis ***1 is a NAd.d.pend.nt d.acetylase,and.its activation attenuates liver injury and.inflammation,accompanied.by red.ced.ferroptosis and.pyroptosis-related.proteins in ***1 activation also inhibits the p53/GPX4/GSd.d.axis by ind.cing p53 acetylation,attenuating LPS/d.GalN-ind.ced.ALF.

To investigate the miRNA expression in colonic mucosal biopsies from end.scopically inflamed.and.non inflamed.regions of ulcerative colitis (UC) patients. METHOd.Colonic mucosal pinch biopsies were analyzed.from the inflamed.and.non inflamed.regions of same UC patient. Total RNA was isolated.and.d.fferential miRNA profiling was d.ne using microarray platform. Quantitative Real Time PCR was performed.in colonic biopsies from inflamed.(n = 8) and.non-inflamed.(n = 8) regions of UC and.controls (n = 8) to valid.te the d.fferential expression of miRNA. Potential targets of d.sregulated.miRNA were id.ntified.by using in silico pred.ction tools and.probable role of these miRNA in inflammatory pathways were pred.cted. RESULTSThe miRNA profile of inflamed.colonic mucosa d.ffers significantly from the non-inflamed. Real time PCR analysis showed.that some of the miRNA were d.fferentially expressed.in the inflamed.mucosa as compared.to non inflamed.mucosa and.controls (miR-125b, miR-223, miR-138, and.miR-155), while (miR-200a) d.d.not show any significant changes. In contrast to microarray, where miR-378d.showed.d.wnregulation in the inflamed.mucosa, qRT-PCR showed.a significant upregulation in the inflamed.mucosa as compared.to the non inflamed. The in silico pred.ction analysis revealed.that the genes targeted.by these miRNAs play role in the major signaling pathways like MAPK pathway, NF-κB signaling pathway, cell ad.esion molecules which are all assciated.with UC. CONCLUSIONThe present stud. reports d.sease specific alteration in the expression of miR-125b, miR-155, miR-223 and.miR-138 in UC patients and.also pred.ct their biological significance.

Pulsatile flow of blood.in a blood.vessel having time-d.pend.nt shape （d.ameter） is inves-tigated.numerically in ord.r to und.rstand.some important physiological phenomena in arteries. A smooth axi-symmetric cosine shaped.constriction is consid.red. To mimic the realistic situation as far as possible, viscosity of blood.is taken to be non-uniform, a shear-thinning viscosity mod.l is consid.red.and.a physiologically relevant pulsatile flow is introd.ced. Taking ad.antage of axi-symmetry in the proposed.problem, the stream function-vorticity formulation is used.to solve the governing equations for blood.flow. Effect of d.fferent parameters associated.with the problem on the flow pattern has been investigated.and.d.sparities from the Newtonian case are d.scussed.in d.tail.

Background. Current research to enrich cattle feed.has primarily focused.on treatment using white rot fungi, while there are scarce reports using the enzyme tannase, which is d.scussed.only in reviews or in the form of a hypothesis. In this context, the aim of the present stud. was to evaluate the effect of tannase on wheat straw （WS） and.also the effect of lyophilized.tannase at concentrations of 0.1%, 0.2%, and.0.3% （w/w） on WS followed.by fermentation with Ganod.rmo sp. for 10 d.and.compared.in relation to biochemical parameters, crud. protein （CP） content, and.nutritional value by calculating the C/N ratio in ord.r to improve the nutritional value of cattle feed. Results： Penicillium charlesii, a tannase-prod.cing microorganism, prod.ced.61.4 IU/mL of tannase in 54 h when 2% （w/v） tannic acid.（TA） was initially used.as a substrate in med.um containing （% w/v） sucrose （1.0）, NaNO3 （1.0）, and.MgSO4 （0.08 pH, 5.0） in a 300-L fermentor （working volume 220 L）, and.concomitantly fed.with 1.0% （w/v） TA after 24 h. The yield.of partially purified.and.lyophilized.tannase was 5.8 IU/mg. The tannin-free myco-straw at 0.1% （w/w） tannase showed.37.8% （w/w） lignin d.grad.tion with only a 20.4% （w/w） d.crease in cellulose content and.the in vitro feed.d.gestibility was 32.2%. An increase in CP content （up to 1.28-fold. along with a lower C/N ratio of 25.0%, as compared.to myco-straw, was obtained. Conclusions： The use of tannin-free myco-straw has potential to improve the nutritional content of cattle feed. This biological treatment process was safe, eco-friend.y, easy to perform, and.was less expensive as compared.to other treatment method..

Melia d.bia Cav. of family Meliaceae is a fast growing, high value tree species native to Ind.a. Isolating d.A from matured.d.ied.leaves of M. d.bia was d.fficult d.e to accumulation of second.ry metabolites, majorly polyphenolics, which resulted.in d.rk brown to black colour of the pellet. In this stud., a mod.fied.STE-(Sucrose, Tris-HCl and.Ethylene d.amine Tetra Acetic Acid. CTAB (hexad.cyltrimethylammonium bromid.) method.was stand.rd.zed.for removal of polyphenolics. The protocol d.veloped.yield.d.200 - 1000 ng/μl of quality d.A without any impurities as evid.nt by A260/280 ratio ranging from 1.75 - 2.0. It was also suitable for extracting quality d.A from other members of Meliaceae like Azad.rachta ind.ca and.Melia azed.rach. In d.wnstream applications, the extracted.d.A was used.for PCR amplification by using ISSR and.SSR markers. ISSR PCR cond.tions were optimized.in a reaction volume of 25 μl, consisting of 30 ng of template d.A, 1.5 mM MgCl2, 200 μM of each of d.TPs and.2 U of Taq polymerase. The best amplification was observed.and.the same was applicable for SSR markers.

We present multi-wavelength imagery of the merger remnant galaxy NGC 1316 with an objective to stud. the d.st content and.its association with the other phases of the interstellar med.um. Color-ind.x maps as well as extinction maps d.rived.for this galaxy reveal an intricate and.complex d.st morphology in NGC 1316, i.e. there is a prominent lane in the inner part, while at about 6-7 kpc it apparently takes the form of an arc-like pattern extend.ng along the northeast d.rection. In ad.ition to this, several other d.st clumps and.knots are also evid.nt in this galaxy. The d.st emission mapped.using Spitzer d.ta at 8 μm ind.cates even more complex morphological structures of the d.st in NGC 1316. The extinction curve d.rived.over the optical to near-IR band. closely follows the stand.rd.Galactic curve, suggesting similar properties of the d.st grains. The d.st content of NGC 1316, estimated.from optical extinction, is ,- 2.13 × 10^5 M⊙. This is a lower limit compared.to that estimated.using the IRAS flux d.nsities of ,-5.17× 10^6 M⊙ and.the flux d.nsities at 24, 70 and.160 p.m from MIPS ,-3.2× 10^7 M⊙. High resolution Chand.a observations of this merger remnant system have provid.d.an unpreced.nted.view of the complex nature exhibited.by the d.stribution of hot gas in NGC 1316, which closely matches the morphology of ionized.gas and.to some extent also the d.st. X-ray color-color plots for the resolved.sources within the optical d.5 extent of NGC 1316 have enabled.us to separate them into d.fferent classes.

The vertically aligned.one-d.mensional(1 d.core-shell structure can maximize the exposure and.use of the functionally active surface while maintaining the geometric effects caused.by the und.rlying ***,we have fabricated.1 d.vertically aligned.ZnO/V2O5 core-shell hetero-nanostructure nanorod.arrays(NRs)for photoelectrochemical(PEC)water ***/V2O5 NRs were prepared.through the hyd.othermal growing of ZnO NRs and.then rad.o frequency(RF)magnetron sputtering d.position of V2O5 for 300,600 and.900 *** photocurrent d.nsity of ZnO/V2O5-based.photoanod.s was grad.ally increased.with the sputtering time,reaching the maximum value of 1.21 m A/cm^2 at 1.23 V *** hyd.ogen electrod.(RHE)for ZnO/V2O5-600,whereas for pure ZnO-based.photoanod. was 0.42 mA/cm^*** incid.nt photon to electron conversion efficiency(IPCE)of ZnO/V2O5-600 evaluated.to be 82.3%which was 2.3 times higher than that of ZnO(36.4%).The improved.PEC performance of ZnO/V2O5-600 is because the core-shell structure with a mod.rate thickness of the V2O5 layer has the extremely high carrier d.nsity,largest electrochemically active surface area(ECSA),largest carrier d.nsity,lowest charge recombination rate,and.the longest lifetime of e-h pairs d.e to the formation of the staggered.gap *** stud. provid.s an effective way to d.sign and.fabrication of hetero-nanostructures for highefficiency photoelectrod.s.
