Lead-free piezoelectric ceramic is a promising material for energy harvesters,as they have superior electromechanical,ferroelectric,and piezoelectric *** addition,piezoelectric ceramics can be blended with polymer to achieve high-flexibility polymer-ceramic composites,providing mechanical robustness and *** this context,a new lead-free ferroelectric material,having the chemical formula SrTi_(2)O_(5)(STO),was synthesized using a high-temperature solid-state *** analyses of the structural,morphological,and electrical properties of the synthesized material were *** crystallizes with orthorhombic symmetry and space group of *** frequency and temperature-dependent dielectric parameters were evaluated,and impedance spectroscopy shed light on the charge *** PDMS-STO composites at different mass fraction of the STO were prepared using a solvent casting route,and a corresponding piezoelectric nanogenerator(PENG)was *** electrical output of the different PENG by varying massfractions of STO in PDMS and varying force were *** 15%(in mass)PENG device delivered the highest peak-to-peak voltage,current,and power density of 25 V,92 nA,and 0.64 mW@500 MU,*** biomechanical energy harvesting using the PENG device by daily human motions,bending of the device,and attaching the device to laboratory equipment was *** the PENG device was attached to the human throat region,and snoring signals were recorded.A classification model was designed employing the convolutional neural network(CNN)*** have been laid to differentiate between normal and abnormal snores,which could help the patient with screening and early disease detection,contributing to self-powered healthcare applications.

In this contribution,we reply to comments made by Tkach et *** our publication *** 2023;9:*** main interest of our work is to synthesize a lead-free material,SrTi_(2)O_(5)(STO),and then utilize it in the formation of composites and finally design the piezoelectric nanogenerator(PENG)for self-powered sensor *** authors have observed the presence of piezoelectric voltage and current output from the *** authors humbly indicate that the PENG devices were poled using a DC poling setup as conditions mentioned in *** 2023;9:609(panda et al.,2023)[1].The doping of STO into the PDMS increased from 2% to 20%(in mass).In this process,the piezoelectric output of the PENG device was observed to be highest for 15%(in mass)STO-PDMS ***,we agree with the comment raised by Tkach et al.,and further we have addressed the issues in a step-by-step response as follows.

Leaf Traits and Antioxidant Defense for Drought Tolerance During Early Growth Stage in Some Popular Traditional Rice Landraces from Koraput, India

Three popular traditional rice landraces, namely Kalajeera, Machakanta and Haladichudi, from Koraput, India were used to analyse the leaf traits and antioxidant defence for drought tolerance. When rice plants were exposed to different levels of drought stress by varying concentrations of polyethylene glycol （PEG） 6000, seed germination and growth parameters were significantly declined in all the rice landraces compared to the control. Drought stress also altered the leaf phenotypic traits based on chlorophyll fluorescence parameters and chlorophyll index, with more significant differences in susceptible variety IR64 than in traditional landraces. Furthermore, activities of antioxidative enzymes and proline and protein contents overtly increased under drought stress. The traditional rice landraces showed higher relative ratios for different parameters compared to the susceptible variety IR64. Taken together, the traditional landraces had superior leaf physiological efficiency compared to the susceptible and tolerant check varieties under drought stress.

Drought stress is a serious limiting factor to rice production,which results in huge economic *** is becoming a more serious issue with respect to the global climate *** in view of the current and forecasted global food demand,it has become essential to enhance the crop productivity on the drought-prone rainfed lands with *** order to achieve the production target from rainfed areas,there is a requirement of rice varieties with drought tolerance,and genetic improvement for drought tolerant should be a high priority theme of research in the *** for drought tolerant rice varieties is a thought-provoking task because of the complex nature and multigenic control of drought tolerant traits would be a major bottleneck for the current research.A great progress has been made during last two decades in our understanding of the mechanisms involved in adaptation and tolerance to drought stress in *** this review,we highlighted the recent progresses in physiological,biochemical and molecular adaptation of rice to drought tolerance.A brief discussion on the molecular genetics and breeding approaches for drought tolerance in rice will be focused for the future crop improvement program for development of drought tolerant rice varieties.

Impact of Cumulative Exposure to Circulating Ovarian Sex Hormones on Increasing the Risk of Hormone Receptor-Positive Breast Cancer

There were 2.3 million new cases of breast cancer registered in 2020,establishing it as the world’s leading *** regular exposure of breast cells to circulating ovarian sex hormones may contribute to cancer growth at all stages.A literature review was performed by downloading research articles from PubMed Central,with keywords such as breast cancer,hormone exposure in breast cancer,estrogen/progesterone exposure in breast cancer,and breast cancer risk *** breast cancer is a hormone-related disease,several factors that influence hormonal conditions or are indicators of alterations in hormonal conditions have been linked with the risk for breast ***,an elevated risk for breast cancer has been related to reproductive history and exogenous estrogen exposure because they may amplify lifetime estrogen *** these factors address the total cumulative exposure to circulating ovarian sex hormones that a female is vulnerable to in her lifetime.A healthy lifestyle,a more extended breastfeeding period,and regular physical activity may help lower one’s *** review summarizes the factors that increase the risk of estrogen/progesterone(hormone receptor)receptor-positive breast cancer due to overall cumulative estrogen exposure,with an understanding of estrogen biosynthesis mechanisms and estrogen receptor signaling.
