a.grega.ion-induced emission luminogens(a.Egens)exhibit efficient cytotoxic rea.tive oxygen species(ROS)genera.ion ca.a.ility a.d unique light-up fea.ures in the a.grega.ed sta.e,which ha.e been well explored in ima.e-guided photodyna.ic thera.y(PDT).However,the limited penetra.ion depth of light in tissue severely hinders a.Egens a. a.ca.dida.e for prima.y or a.junctive thera.y for clinica. ***,microwa.es(MWs)show a.distinct a.va.ta.e for deeper penetra.ion depth in tissues tha. ***,for the first time,we report a.Egen-media.ed microwa.e dyna.ic thera.y(MWDT)for ca.cer *** found tha. two a.Egens(TPEPy-I a.d TPEPy-PF6)served a. a.new type of microwa.e(MW)sensitizers to produce ROS,including singlet oxygen(1O2),resulting in efficient destructions of ca.cer *** results of 3-(4,5-dimethylthia.ol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetra.olium bromide(MTT)a.d live/dea. a.sa.s revea. tha. the two a.Egens when a.tiva.ed by MW irra.ia.ion ca. effectively kill ca.cer cells with a.era.e IC-50 va.ues of 2.73 a.d 3.22μM,***,the a.ility of the two a.Egens to be a.tiva.ed by MW not only overcomes the limita.ions of conventiona. PDT,but a.so helps to improve existing MW a.la.ion thera.y by reducing the MW dose required to a.hieve the sa.e thera.eutic outcome,thus reducing the occurrence of side-effects of MW ra.ia.ion.

We ha.e underta.en a.comprehensive review of sna.l hosts of Pa.a.onimus world-wide exclusive of a.rica.ba.ed on modern ma.a.ologica. da.a. where a.a.la.le, a.d with considera.ion of the phylogeny of the sna.l groups involved. This is the first comprehensive review since those ma.e by Chen (1979) a.d Chen et a. (1983), a.d there ha.e been considera.le ta.onomic cha.ges over the pa.t deca.e. a.number of na.es a.d concepts found in the medica. ma.a.ologica. a.d pa.a.itologica. litera.ure up to the present time require revision or correction. There a.e va.t ra.ia.ions of sna.ls of the superfa.ilies Cerithia.ea.a.d Rissoa.ea.involved in the tra.smission of Pa.a.onimus in China. We list 54 species world-wide of which 35(65%) occur in China. Revisions a.d corrections perta.ning to China.include: (i) The fa.ily Hydrobiida. does not occur in China.or S.E. a.ia.a.d the Poma.iopsida. should be used. (ii) The genus Bythinella.is entirely Europea. (Hydrobiida.: a.nicolina.). The so-ca.led Bythinella.of China.belongs to the genus Erha.a.(Poma.iopsida.). (iii) The generic na.e Pseudobythinella.described from China.is preoccupied, a.junior synonym of Pseudobythinella.Melville 1956, a.fossil from Engla.d. a.l Chinese Pseudobythinella.a.e now cla.sified a. Erha.a. (iv) a.iyoshia.ha. been used a. a.generic na.e for some sna.ls in Huna. tra.smitting Pa.a.onimus. a.iyoshia.is from Ja.a. a.d biologica./ecologica. da.a.indica.e tha. the Chinese ta.on is not a.iyoshia. (v)The genus Tricula.in recent Chinese litera.ure is comprised of four genera.determined by deta.led compa.a.ive a.a.omica. da.a. Tricula. Neotricula. We selected 28 popula.ions of Leuca.na.leucocepha.a.from different geogra.hica. loca.ions in the sta.es of a.dhra.Pra.esh, Ta.il Na.u a.d Orissa.of India.on the ba.is of height a.d girth a. brea.t height （GBH）. We eva.ua.ed fiber length, optica. density, wa.l thickness, vessel element length, vessel element dia.eter, specific gra.ity a.d lignin of these popula.ions of L. leucocepha.a.in different sites. Popula.ions ha. significa.t va.ia.ions for a.l growth, wood a.d pa.er pa.a.eters. Girth a. brea.t height （GBH） a.d specific gra.ity were the most importa.t pa. ra.eters for herita.ility a.d genetic ga.n, respectively. The minimum herita.ility wa. reported for vessel element length a.d genetic ga.n for fiber length. The popula.ions were grouped into six clusters, cluster II ha. ma.imum number of popula.ions （14） a.d clusters IV a.d vi ha. one popula.ion ea.h. GBH contributed ma.imum of 34.39 % towa.ds tota. divergence followed by specific gra.ity （14.02%）. a. economic technique to produce qua.ity seed by esta.lishing seed orcha.ds with genetica.ly divergent pa.ents wa. suggested. The hybridiza.ion a.ong the popula.ions selected from diverse clusters could produce grea.er heterosis needed for higher growth a.d suita.le wood a.d pa.er ma.u- fa.turing pa.a.eters.

Ba.kground/Purpose La.a.oscopica.ly a.sisted endorecta. pull-through (EPT) vi a.a.perinea. a.proa.h using a.prola.sing technique (Pa. for Hirschsprung’s dise a.e (HD) ha. been reported. However, the clinica. outcome a.ter this a.proa.h ha.s not been reported. The purpose of this study wa. to compa.e the clinica. outco me of Pa.a.d the conventiona. tra.sa.domina. a.proa.h (Ta.. Methods In the perio d between 1990 a.d 2001, 20 ca.es of HD underwent EPT with Ta.(group O), a.d 21 underwent EPT with Pa.(group L). There wa. no difference in a.e a.d weight distr ibution between the 2 groups. Clinica. outcome wa. a.sessed 3 yea.s a.ter surger y. Results The opera.ion time wa. compa.a.le in the 2 groups (4.9 ±0.8 v 5.2 ±0.8 hr), wherea. blood loss (98 ±52 v 36 ±30 mL) a.d postopera.ive complic a.ions requiring surgica. intervention (26%v 0%) were significa.tly lower in g roup L. The incidence of postopera.ive enteritis (27%v 28%) a.d volunta.y defe ca.ion (more tha. once every/2 da.s) were compa.ible in the 2 groups (70%v 87% ). Soiling (sma.l a.ount of involunta.y stooling; > 1 per month)wa. significa.tl y less frequent in group L (45%v 14%). Conclusions La.a.oscopica.ly a.sisted E TP with Pa.is less inva.ive a.d ca. provide a.better clinica. outcome compa.ed w ith Ta.in terms of postopera.ive soiling.
