Argan oil is most frequently sold as pure oil,which can be directly applied topically due to its cosmetological proprieties or ingested in order to provide several health ***'s also commonly mixed into a number of cosmetic products like shampoos,soaps and *** this study we aimed to improve the argan oil extraction yield and quality parameters by comparing the effects of different extraction *** kernel oils were extracted using four methods:mechanical cold press,Soxhlet extraction with n-hexane,supercritical fluid extraction(SFE),and enzyme assisted extraction with three different enzyme solutions cellulase(cellulast),pectinase(Pectinex)and a mixture of carbohydrase enzymes(Viscozyme®).The quality parameters was evaluated by determining the acid,peroxide and iodine values aswell as the extinction coefficients K_(232) and K_(270) as measures of conjugated dienes and trienes,*** results showed that the highest yield(66.37%±3.3%)was obtained by enzyme assisted extraction using the carbohydrases enzymes mixture(Viscozyme®),followed by Soxhlet extraction(59.5%±3.1%)and pectinase extraction(52.03%±3.55%).All argan oils samples obtained by the different methods showed a good oxidation stability,with acid,peroxide and iodine values lower than 0.8 mg/g,15 meq/kg and 110 g/100 g according to the official argan oil norm,*** results of argan oils quality parameters demonstrated that the enzyme extracted argan oils showed low oxidation,with the following quality parameters:acid values(0.4-0.6 mg/g),iodine values(95-100 g/100 g),dienes(K_(232)<2),trienes(K_(270)<0.35),and peroxide values(<1.5 meq/kg).The results proved that the enzyme assisted extraction method can be applied to improve the argan oil yield without affecting the oil *** enzyme extraction method may be a great alternative to solvent and cold press extractions for this eco-friendly processing approach.

Global lung cancer mortality trends and lifestyle modifications:preliminary analysis

Background:According to the Independent High-level Commission on Non-communicable Diseases(NCD)of the World Health Organization(WHO),global reduction in lung cancer mortality has been achieved since the year 2000,although this effect is not sufficient to reach the 30%reduction of mortality from NCDs by the year 2030,as stipulated by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal *** objective of this study was to analyze whether the lifestyle changes implemented by the WHO at country level could have an impact on mortality from this form of ***:WHO statistics,based on the unified mortality and causes-of-death reports of Member-State countries,were used to evaluate global lung cancer mortality trends and make comparisons and assessments of different types of community-based,country-wide ***:The lung cancer mortality decline was associated with the anti-tobacco campaign initiated by the WHO in the last 15 to 20 *** tobacco control remained the major and most successful lifestyle modification *** countries with declining lung cancer mortality,91%of countries had decreasing tobacco prevalence in males and 82%in ***-wide measures to increase physical activity had a strong tendency to be better implemented in countries with declining lung cancer mortality(t=1.79,P>0.05).Other WHO"best-buy"lifestyle modification campaigns(diet and alcohol)had been carried out for shorter periods,and their associations with lung cancer were less strong than *** was no significant difference between countries with declining and increasing lung cancer mortality in the measures for reduction of harmful alcohol use(t=0.92,P>0.05)and unhealthy diet reduction measures(t=0.84,P>0.05).Conclusion:Following WHO"best-buys"should facilitate to move countries towards the NCD including lung cancer mortality reduction *** and communities must embrace these targets with coordinated effective action for better hea

AIM:To establish a one-stage model of experimental acute necrotizing pancreatitis(ANP)in rats characterized by the simplicity of performance and a high degree of ***:ANP modeling in rats was performed based on modification of the ligation model as follows:synthetic material ligature using an atraumatic needle was performed to capture pancreatic gland ducts and marginal duodenum *** tips were exteriorized to the abdominal wall,and the ligature was skinned over to avoid catching intestine *** macroscopic appearance and histological changes were *** biochemical and hemostatic indicators were also ***:Laboratory analysis of rats with experimental ANP showed a pattern of disturbances similar to that observed during pancreatic necrosis in humans as soon as the first *** blood analysis revealed enhanced leukocytosis and alterations in leukogram characteristics,indicating acute *** levels of amylase,aspartate aminotransferase and creatinine significantly increased(P<0.05).Hemostatic indicators showed alterations indicating formation of disseminated intravascular coagulation,and signs of endotoxicosis were *** typical pancreatic necrosis patterns of disturbances were validated by the results of histological ***:Histological changes and laboratory indicators confirm the development of a suitable model of ANP.

A new species of small tree frog from a primary montane tropical forest of central Vietnam, Tay Nguyen Plateau, is described based on morphological, molecular, and acoustic evidence. The Golden Bug-Eyed Frog, Theloderma auratum sp. nov., is distinguishable from its congeners and other small rhacophorid species based on a combination of the following morphological attributes：（1） bony ridges on head absent; （2） smooth skin completely lacking calcified warts or asperities; （3） pointed elongated tapering snout; （4） vocal opening in males absent; （5） vomerine teeth absent; （6） males of small body size （SVL 21.8-26.4 mm）; （7） head longer than wide; ED/SVL ratio 13%-15%; ESL/SVL ratio 16%-20%; （8） small tympanum （TD/EL ratio 50%-60%） with few tiny tubercles; （9） supratympanic fold absent; （10） ventral surfaces completely smooth; （11 ） webbing between fingers absent; （12） outer and inner metacarpal tubercles present, supernumerary metacarpal tubercle single, medial, oval in shape; （13） toes half-webbed： I 2-21/4 II 11/^-23/~ III 2-31/4 IV 3-11/2 V; （14） inner metatarsal tubercle present, oval; outer metatarsal tubercle absent; （15） iris bicolored; （16） dorsal surfaces golden-yellow with sparse golden-orange speckling or reticulations and few small dark-brown spots; （17） lateral sides of head and body with wide dark reddish-brown to black lateral stripes, clearlyseparated from lighter dorsal coloration by straight contrasting edge; （18） ventral surfaces of body, throat, and chest greyish-blue with indistinct brown confluent blotches; （19） upper eyelids with few （3-5） very small flat reddish superciliary tubercles; （20） limbs dorsally reddish-brown, ventrally brown with small bluish-white speckles. The new species is also distinct from all congeners in 12S rRNA to 16S rRNA mitochondrial DNA fragment sequences （uncorrected genetic distance P〉8.9%）. Advertisement call and tadpole morphology of the new species are described. Our molecular data showed Theloderma auratum sp. nov.

Measles virus （MV） is highly contagious pathogen, which causes a profound immunosuppression, resulting in high infant mortality. This virus infects dendritic cells （DCs） following the binding of MV hemagglutinin （MV-H） to CD150 receptor and alters DC functions by a mechanism that is not completely understood. We have analyzed the effect of MV-H interaction with CD150-expressing DCs on the DC signaling pathways and consequent phenotypic and functional changes in the absence of infectious context. We demonstrated that contact between CD150 on human DCs and MV-H expressed on membrane of transfected CHO cells was sufficient to modulate the activity of two major regulatory pathways of DC differentiation and function： to stimulate Akt and inhibit p38 MAPK phosphorylation, without concomitant ERK1/2 activation. Furthermore, interaction with MV-H decreased the expression level of DC activation markers CD80, CD83, CD86, and HLA-DR and strongly downregulated IL-12 production but did not modulate IL-IO secretion. Moreover, contact with MV-H suppressed DC-mediated T-cell alloproliferation, demonstrating profound alteration of DC maturation and functions. Finally, engagement of CD150 by MV-H in mice transgenic for human CD150 decreased inflammatory responses, showing the immunosuppressive effect of CD150-MV-H interaction in vivo. Altogether, these results uncover novel mechanism of MV-induced immunosuppression, implicating modulation of cell signaling pathways following MV-H interaction with CD150-expressing DCs and reveal anti-inflammatory effects of CD150 stimulation.

The spatial genetic structure is a topical issue in the studies of various aspects of ecology and *** the multilocus autocorrelation method with hypervariable microsatellite genetic markers,we investigated aﬁne-scale pattern of genetic structure in 5 local populations of the common shrew Sorex araneus separated by distances of 300–1000 m(the Moscow chromosomal race).Spatial genetic autocorrelation analysis based on 5 microsatellite loci(expected heterozygosity>0.79)with 90 alleles revealed a consistent pattern of signiﬁcant positive genetic *** testing the autocorrelation at multiple scales from 25 to 500 m,we found that positive spatial genetic structure is detectable in distance classes of<500 *** weaker spatial genetic structure positively correlated with a higher ratio of nonresident individuals to residents’activity(number of captures).In contrast to nonresident animals,the residents demonstrated prominent genetic *** difference(FST)between the populations was signiﬁcant(0.016–0.051)and comparable with that between populations of different races analyzed previously(0.016–0.038).FST was not associated with geographic *** demographic patterns allowed us to propose a scheme of genetic-structure dynamics involving periodic appearance of more related local groups and renewal of allelic proﬁles fromаcommon pool where the alleles are *** scheme predictsﬂuctuating genetic structure and random similar differences among local populations.
