The high mortality in larval-to-juvenile transition is a big problem in aquaculture which is related to the shifting from endogenous to exogenous ***,the underlying causes remain poorly ***,an evolutionary regulated cellular mechanism,is highly conserved in eukaryotic organisms to maintain energy homeostasis against stress including *** investigate whether autophagy plays a role during larval-to-juvenile transition,we generated atg7 and beclin1 zebrafish mutant lines using CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing *** this study,both atg7 and beclin1 null zebrafish died during larval-to-juvenile transition because atg7 and beclin1 mutants were unable to cope with the metabolic stress after yolk absorption and fail to activate autophagy in response to nutrient ***,dramatic defects in the intestine architecture and metabolic functions in the liver of these mutants were observed even though refeeding *** with rapamycin,an activator of autophagy,could effectively extend the survival time of both atg7 and beclin1 null zebrafish through decreasing the metabolic rate while it couldn’t activate autophagy in mutants via the canonical ***,our results revealed that autophagy played a crucial role in zebrafish ontogeny during larval-to-juvenile transition,and it could be considered as one of the most important endogenous factors judging the survival rate of the developing embryos during this period.

Changing climate intensifies heat stress,resulting in a greater risk of workplace productivity decline in timber office buildings with low internal thermal *** impact of climate change induced heat exposure on indoor workplace productivity in timber office buildings has not been extensively ***,further investigation to reduce the work capacity decline towards the end of the century is ***,heat exposure in a net zero-carbon timber building near Brussels,Belgium,was evaluated using a reproducible comparative approach with different internal thermal mass *** analysis indicated that strategies with increased thermal mass were more effective in limiting the effects of heat exposure on workplace *** medium and high thermal mass strategies reduced workplace productivity loss to 0.1%in the current,0.3%and 0.2%in the midfuture,and 4.9%and 3.9%for future *** comparison,baseline with low thermal mass yielded a decline of 2.3%,3.3%,and 8.2%.The variation in maximum and minimum wet-bulb globe temperatures were also lower for medium and high thermal mass strategies than for low thermal mass *** study findings lead to the formulation of design guidelines,identification of research gaps,and recommendations for future work.

BACKGROUND Type 2 diabetes is one of the most prevalent chronic diseases worldwide,significantly impacting patients'quality of *** treatment options like metformin(MET)effectively counteract hyperglycemia but fail to alleviate diabetes-associated complications such as retinopathy,neuropathy,nephropathy,hepatopathy,and cardiovascular *** To propose the supplementation of cholecalciferol(CHO)and taurine(TAU)to enhance MET efficacy in controlling diabetes while minimizing the risk of associated *** The study involved sixty rats,including ten non-diabetic control rats and fifty experimental rats with type 2 diabetes induced by *** experimental rats were further subdivided into positive control and treatment *** four treatment groups were randomly allocated to a single MET treatment or MET combined with supplements either CHO,TAU,or *** Diabetic rats exhibited elevated levels of glucose,insulin,Homeostasis Model Assessment of Insulin Resistance(HOMA-IR),glycated hemoglobin percentage,lipid markers,aspartate aminotransferase,and malondialdehyde,along with reduced levels of antioxidant enzymes(catalase and superoxide dismutase).The administration of CHO and TAU supplements alongside MET in diabetic rats led to a noticeable recovery of islet *** antioxidative,anti-inflammatory,and anti-apoptotic properties of the proposed combination therapy significantly ameliorated the aforementioned *** The supplementation of CHO and TAU with MET showed the potential to significantly improve metabolic parameters and protect against diabetic complications through its antioxidative,anti-inflammatory,and antiapoptotic effects.

Recently,nano-systems based on molecular communications via diffusion(MCvD)have been implemented in a variety of nanomedical applications,most notably in targeted drug delivery system(TDDS)***,because the MCvD is unreliable and there exists molecular noise and inter symbol interference(ISI),cooperative nano-relays can acquire the reliability for drug delivery to targeted diseased cells,especially if the separation distance between the nano transmitter and nano receiver is *** this work,we propose an approach for optimizing the performance of the nano system using cooperative molecular communications with a nano relay scheme,while accounting for blood flow effects in terms of drift *** fractions of the molecular drug that should be allocated to the nano transmitter and nano relay positioning are computed using a collaborative optimization problem solved by theModified Central Force Optimization(MCFO)*** the previous work,the probability of bit error is expressed in a closed-form *** is used as an objective function to determine the optimal velocity of the drug molecules and the detection threshold at the nano *** simulation results show that the probability of bit error can be dramatically reduced by optimizing the drift velocity,detection threshold,location of the nano-relay in the proposed nano system,and molecular drug budget.

Pea is a seed *** is rich in cellulose fibre and *** is also a significant source of minerals and *** this paper,we set out to better characterize the physiological responses of Pisum sativum *** the combined effects of NaCl,100 mM and gibberellins(GA3).Our analysis revealed that NaCl caused a decrease in growth resulting in a reduction in root elongation,distribution and density,leaf number and leaf area,and a decrease in dry matter of roots and ***,the contribution of GA3 in the salty environment induced an increase in these different parameters suggesting an improving effect of this hormone on growth of pea in presence of *** also led to a disturbance of the photosynthetic ***,level of chlorophyll pigments(a and total)and photosynthetic activity were decreased compared to the control ***,the exogenous supply of GA3 restored this decrease in net CO_(2) assimilation,but not in chlorophyll *** analyses were performed on the effect of salinity/GA3 interaction on osmolytes(soluble sugars and starch).Our results showed an increase in sugars and a decrease in starch in the presence of 100 mM *** salt-GA3 combination resulted in compensation of soluble sugar contents but not of starch contents,suggesting a beneficial effect of GA3 under saline stress *** of three main polyamines putrescine,spermidine,and spermine increased significantly in all organs of salt-treated plants.

This paper presents detailed design steps of an effective control system aiming to increase the solar energy harvested via photovoltaic power-generation *** design of an intelligent maximum power point tracker(MPPT)supported by a robust sliding-mode(SM)controller is discussed in this *** proposed control scheme is designed to track the MPP and provide a smooth system response by removing the overshoot in the load current during any variation in the connected *** a system is suitable for DC-DC buck converter *** study begins with modelling the buck converter for a continuous current mode *** reference voltage of the tracking system is produced by the proposed neural network(NN)*** proposed intelligent MPPT integrated with an SM controller is simulated in a MATLAB®/Simulink®*** simulation results are analysed to investigate and confirm the satisfaction level of the adopted four-serially connected PV-modules *** system performance is evaluated at a light intensity of 500 W/m^(2) and an ambient temperature of 25°*** only the proposed NN algorithm guarantees the MPP tracking response by delivering 100 W at a resistive load of 13Ω,and 200 W at a load of 6.5Ω,respectively,with 99.77%system ***,this simultaneously demonstrates a current spike of~0.5 A when the load is varied from 50%to 100%.The integrated SM controller demonstrates a robust and smooth response,eliminating the existing current spike.

This research aims to analyse the comparative performance of two identical photovoltaic(PV)panels with load variations and integrating an automated water-cooling process under the climatic conditions of the United Arab *** work also presents the steps of system design,implementation and performance evaluation of the proposed PV system,and all electrical,control and mechanical components along with how they were integrated within a 100-W PV ***/Simulink?was used only to simulate the behaviours of the PV panel under wide ranges of incident sunlight and ambient *** tests were performed for a day-long operation during a clear summer *** experimental results demonstrate an improvement in the PV system performance compared with the uncooled system by~1.6%in terms of total harvested energy using the proposed water-cooling process with a frequency of 2 minutes of cooling operation every 30 minutes during day hours.

Smartphone devices particularly Android devices are in use by billions of people everywhere in the ***,this increasing rate attracts mobile botnet attacks which is a network of interconnected nodes operated through the command and control(C&C)method to expand malicious *** present,mobile botnet attacks launched the Distributed denial of services(DDoS)that causes to steal of sensitive data,remote access,and spam generation,***quently,various approaches are defined in the literature to detect mobile botnet attacks using static or dynamic *** this paper,a novel hybrid model,the combination of static and dynamic methods that relies on machine learning to detect android botnet applications is ***,results are evaluated using machine learning *** Random Forest(RF)classifier outperform as compared to other ML techniques i.e.,Naïve Bayes(NB),Support Vector Machine(SVM),and Simple Logistic(SL).Our proposed framework achieved 97.48%accuracy in the detection of botnet ***,some future research directions are highlighted regarding botnet attacks detection for the entire community.
