A sensitive and selective electrochemical method for the determination of epinephrine（EP） was developed using a modified carbon paste electrode（MCPE） with 2,2＇-[3,6-dioxa-1,8-octanediylbis（nitriloethylidyne）]-bis-hydroquinone（DOH）.Cyclic voltammetry was used to investigate the redox properties of this modified electrode at various solution pH values and at various scan *** differential pulse voltammetry,the modified electrode could separate the oxidation peak potentials of EP and uric acid（UA） present in the solution but at the unmodified CPE the peak potentials were *** method was also examined for determination of EP in EP injection.

Anthropogenic impacts and natural disturbances have been intense recently in the global scale, affecting the composition of coral reef benthic communities from coral to algal dominated reefs. However, this condition does not always occur considering corals are able to recover when the stressors falter. This study aims to investigate the change in coral reef benthic communities and the relationship among benthic categories. The study was carried out in 2014 and 2016 at five sites, three sites in the Lembeh Strait and two sites in Likupang, North Sulawesi Province. Underwater Photo Transect(UPT) was used at depth of around 4–6 m in slope areas. The result indicated that the benthic communities were slightly changing: the percent covers of hard corals, sponges, soft corals, macroalgae and substrate categories were not significantly different between the years but category of others, particularly seasonally growing hydroid, increased significantly, occupying the available substrates and overtopping other benthos surrounding. The study also found that there was a significant relationship between the change in benthic gradient and the number of hard coral colonies: when the composition becomes less complex, the number of colony declines. In contrast, the hard coral diversity remained unchanged, suggesting the coral reefs apparently have an ecological resilience(sustainable species diversity) against the change although ecological complexity declines. In addition, the hard coral cover was significantly correlated with soft coral and sponge covers, which did not change significantly among the years. In general, the coral reefs in North Sulawesi might experience a temporary blip due to the increasing percent cover of others, and be predicted to recover as there was no indication of soft corals and sponges to increase significantly. The electrooxidation of L-cysteine（L-Cys） was studied using a benzoylferrocene（BF） modified multi-wall carbon nanotube paste electrode（BFCNPE） using cyclic voltammetry（CV）,square wave voltammetry（SWV） and chronoamperometry（CHA）.Under optimum pH in CV the oxidation of L-Cys occurs at a potential about 215 mV less positive than that at the surface of unmodified carbon paste *** catalytic oxidation peak currents were dependent on the L-Cys concentration and a linear calibration curve was obtained in the range 0.7-350.0 mmol/L of L-Cys with SWV *** detection limit（3s） was determined as 0.1 mmol/*** method was also used for the determination of L-Cys in some real samples.

Conductivity of glasses in the systems ***, (where R=Ca, Sr or Ba) was investigated between room temperature and 530 K. The dependence of log resistivity as well as the activation energy on the PbO content has been studied. Based on the present experimental results, the possible different conduction mechanisms in such glasses are discussed. It was postulated that Pb2+ ions may represent the major charge carrying species in these glasses. This assumption was confirmed by the calculations of the mean distance between the interstitial Pb2+ ions and the effective center of the O2- ions in the glass networks. The variation in the values of the density and the molar volume with PbO content is also discussed in view of the obtained activation energies for the studied glass-systems.

Roasting is one of the widespread methods for processing of nuts that significantly enhances the flavor,color,texture and appearance of *** this research,the response surface methodology was used to optimize the roasting process over a range of infrared power(250–450 W)and roasting times(10–30 min).The moisture content,color parameters(L*,a*,b*and total color difference(DE)),textural characteristics(hardness and compressive energy),energy consumption and sensory evaluation(total acceptation)were determined after roasting and modeled by response surface methodology(RSM).Increasing in roasting IR power and time caused increasing in the energy consumption,a*,b*and DE *** L*value,moisture content,hardness and compressive energy also decreased with increasing roasting IR power and *** full quadratic model developed by RSM adequately described the changes in the b*value,moisture content and *** result of RSM analysis showed that all color and textural parameters could be used to monitor the roasting of peanut kernels in an infrared roaster,while application of RSM for developing a predictive model that described the total acceptance changes during roasting of peanut kernels was not *** obtain the desired color,moisture,texture and acceptation,the optimum roasting range for production of snack was determined as 370W for 20 min.
