Effects of a Two-Day Teachers’ Training Course on Activity Time in Physical Education

Schools are a key setting for promoting physical activity in children. There is little evidence on the potential of widely implemented programs to improve the quality of physical education (PE). The aim was to assess the effects of a short training course for classroom teachers on the quality of PE, assessed as activity time during PE. A quasi-experimental study was conducted with 6 intervention (N = 86) and 13 control classes (N = 151). Schools were selected in a random procedure (26.9% participation). Participation in children was 86.2% (mean age 7.8 years, 48.9% girls). Physical activity was assessed objectively using accelerometers. Effect on time spent in sedentary, moderate, vigorous and moderate-to-vigorous (MVPA) activities, steps and counts/minute during PE were analysed using t-tests and mixed linear models. Physical activity time increased significantly in the intervention but not in the control group between baseline and follow-up (relative increase in moderate-to-vigorous physical activity of 12% in intervention group). Increases were strongest in girls and in children inactive at baseline. In the mixed linear models adjusted for clustering, the effects were significant in girls for vigorous activities, sedentary time and counts/minute, in inactive children for steps. Results indicate that a short training course for classroom teachers can have subtle positive effects on physical activity time during PE. Girls and the most inactive children at baseline profited most from the intervention.

Microcrystalline cellulose(MCC)is one of the cellulose derivatives produced as a result of the depolymerization of a part of cellulose to achieve high *** implemented in other polymers,high crystallinity correlates with greater strength and stiffnes,but it can reduce the water-holding *** acid concentration and hydrolysis time will affect the acquisition of crystallinity and water absorption capacity,both of which have significance as properties of hydrogel *** study aimed to evaluate the properties and select the MCC generated from varying the proportion of hydrochloric acid(HCl)and the appropriate hydrolysis time as a filler for film *** was produced by hydrolyzing cellulose of oil palm empty fruit bunches(OPEFB)with the HCl solution at varied concentrations and *** results show that the longer hydrolysis times and higher HCl concentrations increase crystallinity and density while lowering yield and water *** extensive acid hydrolysis reduces the amorphous area significantly,allowing the depolymerization to occur and extend the crystalline *** morphological properties of the MCC,which are smaller but compact,indicate the presence of disintegrating and diminishing structures.A 2.5 N HCl concentration and a 45-min hydrolysis time succeed in sufficient crystallinity as well as maintaining good water absorption *** treatment produced MCC with absorption capacity of 4.03±0.26 g/g,swelling capacity of 5.03±0.26 g/g,loss on drying of 1.44%±0.36,bulk and tapped density of 0.27±0.031 g/cm^(3) and 0.3±0.006 g/cm^(3),respectively,with a crystallinity index of 88.89%±4.76 and a crystallite size of 4.23±0.70 *** MCC generated could potentially be utilized as a hydrogel film filler,since a given proportion will be able to maintain the strength of the hydrogel,not readily dissolve but absorb water significantly.

Sentiment Drift Detection and Analysis in Real Time Twitter Data Streams

Handling sentiment drifts in real time twitter data streams are a challen-ging task while performing sentiment classifications,because of the changes that occur in the sentiments of twitter users,with respect to *** growing volume of tweets with sentiment drifts has led to the need for devising an adaptive approach to detect and handle this drift in real *** work proposes an adap-tive learning algorithm-based framework,Twitter Sentiment Drift Analysis-Bidir-ectional Encoder Representations from Transformers(TSDA-BERT),which introduces a sentiment drift measure to detect drifts and a domain impact score to adaptively retrain the classification model with domain relevant data in real *** framework also works on static data by converting them to data streams using the Kafka *** experiments conducted on real time and simulated tweets of sports,health care andfinancial topics show that the proposed system is able to detect sentiment drifts and maintain the performance of the classification model,with accuracies of 91%,87%and 90%,*** the results have been provided only for a few topics,as a proof of concept,this framework can be applied to detect sentiment drifts and perform sentiment classification on real time data streams of any topic.

Early efficacy of individual regimens containing bedaquiline in patients with drug resistant tuberculosis

目的探讨匝迪-5味丸改善心肌缺血再灌注损伤(MIRI)的作用机制。方法通过网络药理学方法筛选匝迪-5味丸改善MIRI的潜在作用靶点和通路。将72只大鼠随机分为模型组、假手术组、丹参组[复方丹参滴丸80 mg/(kg·d)]和匝迪-5味丸高、中、低剂量组[1.6、0.8、0.4 g/(kg·d)],每组12只。各组大鼠灌胃相应药物,每天1次,连续14 d。末次给药后,结扎大鼠左冠状动脉前降支建立MIRI模型,假手术组大鼠只穿线不结扎。检测建模后各组大鼠血清中肌酸激酶(CK)、乳酸脱氢酶(LDH)、天冬氨酸转氨酶(AST)、心肌肌钙蛋白T(CTn-T)的含量,心肌细胞凋亡率,心肌组织中磷脂酰肌醇3-激酶(PI3K)、蛋白激酶B(Akt)、B淋巴细胞瘤2(Bcl-2)及Bcl-2相关X蛋白(Bax)、胱天蛋白酶3(caspase-3)蛋白表达水平;观察心肌组织形态变化。结果共获得匝迪-5味丸的活性成分177个,作用靶点220个,参与改善心肌缺血相关的靶点51个,其中核心靶点为AKT1,涉及PI3K-Akt、内质网、缺氧诱导因子-1等多个通路。与模型组比较,丹参组和匝迪-5味丸高剂量组大鼠血清中CK、LDH、AST、CTn-T含量和心肌细胞凋亡率,以及心肌组织中caspase-3、Bax蛋白表达水平均显著降低(P<0.05或P<0.01),心肌组织中PI3K、Akt、Bcl-2蛋白表达水平均显著升高(P<0.05或P<0.01),心肌组织病理形态改变均明显改善;匝迪-5味丸低、中剂量组大鼠上述指标亦有不同程度改善。结论匝迪-5味丸可能通过激活PI3K-Akt信号通路抑制细胞凋亡,从而发挥改善MIRI的作用。

The Correlation of Urine Retinol Binding Protein-4 and Serum HbA1c with Glomerular Filtration Rate in Type 1 (Insulin-Dependent) Diabetic Children: A Perspective on the Duration of Diabetes

Objective: To analyze the correlation between urine retinol binding protein-4 (RBP-4) and serum HbA1c?with glomerular filtration rate (GFR) in type 1 diabetic children. Methods:?This?was a crosssectional observational analytic?study. The subjects?were?type 1 diabetic children aged 2 - 14 years. Sample collection was conducted from October to November 2014. Exclusion criteria were patients with obesity, renal insufficiency?that?was not caused by diabetes, history of hepatic diseases, and history of blood cell disorders. We?performed anamnesis, physical examination, and blood sampling for serum HbA1c?and serum cystatin-C, and urine sampling for RBP-4?on all subjects. Glomerular filtration rate was calculated from the concentration level of cystatin-C using Filler formula. Data analysis was performed?by?Spearman test to determine the correlation between urine RBP-4 and serum HbA1c?with GFR. The Fisher’s exact test was used to determine the correlation between duration of diabetes and RBP-4, HbA1c, and also GFR. Results:?Twelve females (60%) and 8 males (40%) participated in the study. The mean age of the subjects with 95% CI?was: 10.5 (2 - 14) years while the mean age of duration diabetes with 95% CI: 3.8 (0.5 - 10) years. Twelve (60%) subjects had?<5 years duration of diabetes, while eight (40%) subjects had?≥5 years duration of diabetes. Twelve (60%) subjects had normal RBP-4 level, while eight (40%) subjects had?elevated RBP-4 level. The mean level of HbA1c?with 95% CI: 8.9 (5.1 - 15.2)%. Thirteen (65%) subjects had poor metabolic. The mean GFR of the subjects with 95% CI: 99.3 (35.2 - 147.4) mL/1.73/m2. Nineteen (95%) subjects had normal GFR, while 1 (5%) had renal insufficiency. The results of data analysis using Spearman test on the correlation between urine RBP-4 and serum HbA1cwith GFR were not significant.
