A Decisive Study on Dielectric Response of Bi₂O₃/Polystyrene &Bi₂O₃/PVDF Composite as Flexible Electrodes for Energy Storage

In this manuscript a comparative study on Bi2O3/polystyrene and Bi2O3/PVDF composites has been executed via analysis of structural, bonding, surface morphology and dielectric response of composites for energy storage. The composites have been synthesized using solution cast method by varying concentrations of Bi2O3 (BO = 1 - 5 mw%) into polystyrene (PS) and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) polymers respectively. X-ray diffraction confirms the generation of crystallinity, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy confirms bonding behavior and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) confirms uniform distribution of Bi2O3 (BO) in PS and PVDF polymers. Impedance spectroscopy has been employed for determination of dielectric response of the fabricated composites. The dielectric constant has been found to be increased as 1.4 times of pristine PS to BO5%PS95% composites and 1.8 times of pristine PVDF to BO5%PVDF95% composites respectively. These high dielectric composite electrodes are useful for flexible energy storage devices.

Handwritten Character Recognition Using Multiresolution Technique and Euclidean Distance Metric

In the present paper, the problem of handwritten character recognition has been tackled with multiresolution technique using discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and Euclidean distance metric (EDM). The technique has been tested and found to be more accurate and faster. Characters is classified into 26 pattern classes based on appropriate properties. Features of the handwritten character images are extracted by DWT used with appropriate level of multiresolution technique, and then each pattern class is characterized by a mean vector. Distances from input pattern vector to all the mean vectors are computed by EDM. Minimum distance determines the class membership of input pattern vector. The proposed method provides good recognition accuracy of 90% for handwritten characters even with fewer samples.

BackgroundLymphatic filariasis (LF) is a debilitating and painful neglected tropical disease and is one of the leading causes of permanent disability. In many countries, the intersection of gender with various social stratifiers has influenced exposure to LF and ultimately impacting the disease burden and its elimination. This study aimed to explore the influence of gender and its intersection with other social stratifiers for the prevention and care seeking behavior of LF in *** study employed qualitative research methods: in-depth interviews (IDIs) and focus group discussions (FGDs) for data collection in Bardiya, Nepal. A total of 22 IDIs (11 male, 11 female) and 2 FGDs (1 male and 1 female) were conducted with the community people between January and March 2020. The participants were purposively selected to represent different social stratifiers including age, sex, ethnicity, occupation. The data collected were analyzed using a thematic framework approach with use of intersectional gender analysis *** study findings revealed that men spend more time outside their household compared to women while fulfilling their roles and responsibilities, largely determined by societal expectations and gender norms. This resulted in limited access to preventive health services for men, as they often missed annual mass drug administration programme in their community and limited access to preventive methods. Further traditional occupation, specific to particular ethnicity, influenced the vulnerability to LF for certain ethnic groups. The ability to prevent exposure varied among individuals. Although women made decisions regarding the use of protective methods, it was influenced by patriarchal and gender norms. AIM: To investigate the techniques and efficacy of peroral endoscopic reduction of dilated gastrojejunal anastomosis after bariatric ***: An extensive English language literature search was conducted using Pub Med, MEDLINE, Medscape and Google to identify peer-reviewed original and review articles using the keywords "bariatric endoscopic suturing", "overstitch bariatric surgery", "endoscopic anastomotic reduction", "bariatric surgery", "gastric bypass", "obesity", "weight loss". We identified articles describing technical feasibility, safety, efficacy, and adverse outcomes of overstitch endoscopic suturing system for transoral outlet reduction in patients with weight regain following Roux-en-Y gastric bypass(RYGB). All studies that contained material applicable to the topic were considered. Retrieved peer-reviewed original and review articles were reviewed by the authors and the data extracted using a standardized collection tool. Data were analyzed using statistical analysis as percentages of the event. RESULTS: Four original published articles which met our search criteria were pooled. The total number cases were fifty-nine with a mean age of 46.75 years(34-63 years). Eight of the patients included in those studies were males(13.6%) and fifty-one were females(86.4%). The mean time elapsed since the primary bypass surgery was 5.75 years. The average pre-endoscopic procedure body mass index(BMI) was 38.68(27.5-48.5). Mean body weight regained post-RYGB surgery was 13.4 kg from their post-RYGB nadir. The average pouch length at the initial upper endoscopy was 5.75 cm(2-14 cm). The pre-intervention anastomotic diameter was averaged at 24.85 mm(8-40 mm). Average procedure time was 74 min(50-164 min). Mean post endoscopic intervention anastomotic diameter was 8 mm(3-15 mm). Weight reduction at 3 to 4 mo post revision noted to be anaverage of 10.1 kg. Average overall post revision BMI was recorded at 37.7. The combined technical and clinical success rate was

In the present study, a homogeneous and anisotropic LRS Bianchi type I universe model is considered in f(R, T) theory of gravity. In order to find an exact solution of the field equations of the model, the model presented is based on a unique condition of periodically time varying deceleration parameter. The physical and geometrical characteristics of the universe model have been studied. It has been shown that the model has point-type singularity and all the cosmological parameters possess periodic time behavior. The model has a cyclic expansion history, for example, the model starts with the decelerating expansion, and later it transits to an accelerating phase of expansion and then goes to super-exponential phase of expansion in a period.
