Catatonia,originally conceptualised by Kahlbaum in 1868,is a neuropsychiatric condition that has been found to occur concomitantly with several organic and psychiatric *** from the era of Kraepelin and Bleuler,this condition was faultily linked with schizophrenia alone;however,over time,greater associations have been found between catatonia and mood *** the availability of several reports supporting this finding,there is a relative paucity of studies that specifically focus on catatonia to be the first symptom manifestation heralding a subsequent mood *** addition,there is scant literature to determine whether there are specific presentations of catatonia that show greater associations with mood disorders and whether these signs and symptoms recur in a stereotypical fashion in the subsequent mood episodes in the lifetime of an *** hereby report two cases with a diagnosis of mood disorders(bipolar disorder and recurrent depressive disorder)who had catatonia as the initial symptom not only at presentation but also at subsequent *** report emphasises that recurrent catatonia can be the initial clinical manifestation of an underlying mood episode,which appears otherwise masked behind the catatonic *** catatonic symptoms can be interestingly similar in all the subsequent episodes.A detailed clinical evaluation is thus warranted after catatonia has been duly treated to provide a holistic management.

Wind energy systems (WESs) based on doubly-fed induction generators (DFIGs) have enormous potential for meeting the future demands related to clean energy. Due to the low inertia and intermittency of power injection, a WES is equipped with a virtual inertial controller (VIC) to support the system during a frequency deviation event. The frequency deviation measured by a phase locked loop (PLL) installed on a point of common coupling (PCC) bus is the input signal to the VIC. However, a VIC with an improper inertial gain could deteriorate the damping of the power system, which may lead to instability. To address this issue, a mathematical formulation for calculating the synchronizing and damping torque coefficients of a WES-integrated single-machine infinite bus (SMIB) system while considering PLL and VIC dynamics is proposed in this paper. In addition, a power system stabilizer (PSS) is designed for wind energy integrated power systems to enhance electromechanical oscillation damping. A small-signal stability assessment is performed using the infinite bus connected to a synchronous generator of higher-order dynamics integrated with a VIC-equipped WES. Finally, the performance and robustness of the proposed PSS is demonstrated through time-domain simulation in SMIB and nine-bus test systems integrated with WES under several case studies.

A Simplified Grey Wolf Optimizer(SGWO)is suggested for resolving optimization *** simplification in the original Grey Wolf Optimizer(GWO)method is introduced by ignoring the worst category wolves while giving priority to the better wolves during the search *** advantage of the presented SGWO over GWO is a better solution taking less execution time and is demonstrated by taking unimodal,multimodal,and fixed dimension test *** results are also contrasted to the Gravitational Search Algorithm,the Particle Swarm Optimization,and the Sine Cosine Algorithm and this shows the superiority of the proposed SGWO *** application in a Distributed Power Generation System(DPGS)with energy storage is then considered by designing an Adaptive Fuzzy PID(AFPID)controller using the suggested SGWO method for frequency *** DPGS contains renewable generation such as photovoltaic,wind,and storage elements such as battery and flywheel,in addition to plug-in electric *** is demonstrated that the SGWO method is superior to the GWO method in the optimal controller design *** is also seen that SGWO based AFPID controller is highly efficacious in regulating the frequency compared to the standard PID controller.A sensitivity study is also performed to examine the impact of the unpredictability in the parameters of the investigated system on system ***,the novelty of the paper is demonstrated by comparing with the existing publications in an extensively used two-area test system.

Toxicity-data of two carbamate insecticides, carbaryl and carbofuran, and three fungicides, ziram, zineb and mancozeb with rice-field N2-fixing cyanobacterium Cylindrospermum sp., obtained by in vitro growth and at soil-water interface, were analyzed by the probit method. Growth enhancing concentration, no-observed effective concentration, minimum inhibitory concentration, the highest permissive concentration and lethal concentration100 （LCloo） were determined experimentally. The LC^o values of carbaryl, carbofuran, ziram, zineb and mancozeb in N2-fixing liquid medium were 56.2, 588.8, 0.07, 4.2 and 3.4 IJg/mL, respectively, whereas the corresponding LCloo values were 100.0, 1500.0, 0.17, 25.0 and 9.0 IJg/mL, respectively. The LC50 values of these pesticides in succession in N2-fixing agar medium were 44.7, 239.9, 0.07, 1.8 and 2.3 IJg/mL, respectively, whereas the corresponding LC100 values were 100.0, 600.0, 0.17, 10.0 and 7.0 IJg/mL, respectively. Similar results with nitrate supplemented liquid and agar media indicated that nitrate supplementation had toxicity reducing effect. The LCso and LC^oo values of toxicity in the N2-fixing liquid medium at soil-water interface were 91.2 and 200.0 IJg/mL for carbaryl, 2 317 and 6 000 pg/mL for carbofuran, 0.15 and 0.50 pg/mL for ziram, 16.4 and 50.0 pg/mL for zineb, and 7.2 and 25.0 pg/mL for mancozeb, respectively. Each LC^oo value at soil- water interface with a pesticide was significantly higher than its corresponding LCloo value at liquid/agar media. It can be concluded that, under the N2-fixing conditions, the cyanobacterium tolerated higher levels of each pesticide at soil-water interface.

A significant aerodynamic noise from wind turbines arises when the rotating blades interact with turbulent *** the trailing edge of the blade is an important source of noise at high frequencies,the present work deals with the influence of turbulence distortion on leading edge noise from wind turbine blades which becomes significant in low-frequency *** quasi-empirical methods are studied to verify the accuracy of turbulent inflow noise predicted at low frequencies for a 2 MW horizontal axis wind *** have shown that all methods exhibited a downward linear trend in noise spectra for a given mean wind speed except at very low *** an increase in turbulence intensity from 6%to 14%,the sound power was found to increase almost linearly,and the standard error for sound power was reduced for all methods *** computed results were validated and agreed well with experiment noise data from Siemens SWT-2.3MW 93 wind turbine.

Chlorination roasting-coupled water leaching process for potash recovery from waste mica scrap using dry marble sludge powder and sodium chloride

The present paper reports the effective utilization of marble sludge powder(MSP)for the recovery of potash values from waste mica scrap using chlorination roasting-water leaching *** studies indicated the presence of dolomite as the major mineral phase in MSP,whereas muscovite and quartz were observed in the mica *** acid leaching studies suggest a maximum of 22%potash recovery under conditions:4 M H2SO4 acid,particle size of^100μm,stirring speed of 600 r/min,leaching temperature of 75℃,and leaching time of 90 *** chlorination roasting-water leaching process was adopted to achieve the lowest level of 80%-90%potash *** optimum conditions for the recovery of^93%potash from mica(~8.6wt%K2O)requires 900℃ roasting temperature,30 min roasting time,and 1:1:0.75 mass ratio of mica:MSP:*** roasting temperature and amount of NaCl are found to be the most important factors for the recovery *** reaction mechanism suggests the formation of different mineral phases,including sylvite(KCl),wollastonite,kyanite,and enstatite,during roasting,which were confirmed by X-ray diffraction(XRD)analyses and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)*** MSP-blended NaCl additive is more effective for potash recovery compared with the other reported commercial roasting additives.

Friction stir welding [FSW） has achieved remarkable success in the joining and processing of aluminium alloys and other softer structural alloys. Conventional FSW, however, has not been entirely successful in the joining, processing and manufacturing of different desired materials essential to meet the sophis- ticated green globe requirements. Through the efforts of improving the process and transferring the existing friction stir knowledge base to other advanced applications, several friction stir based daughter technologies have emerged over the timeline, A few among these technologies are well developed while others are under the process of emergence. Beginning with a broad classification of the scattered fric- tions stir based technologies into two categories, welding and processing, it appears now time to know, compile and review these to enable their rapid access for reference and academia. In this review article, the friction stir based technologies classified under the categol^J of welding are those applied for join- ing of materials while the remnant are labeled as friction stir processing （FSP） technologies. This review article presents an overview of four general aspects of both the developed and the developing friction stir based technologies, their associated process parameters, metallurgical features of their products and their feasibility and application to various materials. The lesser known and emerging technologies have been emphasized.
