Pre-treatmen. an. post-treatmen. compreh.n.ive eye exams of a 54 year old female patien. were performed both.at th. Florida study cen.er, UsA an. at Th. Eye cen.er of columbus, UsA. As a con.equen.e of a relapsin. optic n.uritis, th. patien.＇s previously n.rmal visual acuity decreased to between.20/350 an. 20/400 in.th. righ. eye an. to 20/70 in.th. left eye. sign.fican. visual field loss developed bilaterally. Th. patien. un.erwen. a righ. eye vitrectomy with.in.ection.of BMscs in.o th. optic n.rve of th. righ. eyean. retrobulbar, subten.n.an. in. travitreal in.ection.of BMscs in.th. left eye. Epiph.tism declin.d th.ough.ut early summer, an. epiph.tes were rare after mid-July (1984); th.y did n.t reappear in.late summer, alth.ugh.macroph.te growth.declin.d abruptly after early July.
