Background and Aims: Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is a common form of hair loss in both men and women. Despite its high prevalence and associated patient morbidity, the approved therapeutic options are limited to finasteride and minoxidil. The present study is aimed at assessing the efficacy of hair serum formulation, Trichosera®containing Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stromal cells conditioned media as an active ingredient, for hair fall control and hair regrowth in healthy Indian human volunteers. Methods: The product was made using a 20% concentration of 10X Conditioned Media along with excipients. The final product was tested for physicochemical parameters, biomarkers, total protein content and microbial limits as per our in-house specifications. Results: The primary irritation patch test showed that the product is non-irritant and dermatologically safe. A clinical study on 40 subjects was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the bioactive formulation in hair fall control and hair regrowth in healthy volunteers. Phototrichogram measurement showed hair density and hair growth rate increased significantly by 11.54% and 18.66% at week 24. Hair tensile strength also increased significantly by 41.10% at 12 weeks follow-up. Hair pull test, to see a reduction in pulled hair and comb’s test to show a decrease in hair fall significantly improved from week 4 onwards. There were no significant adverse events in response to the product application. Conclusion: It is concluded that the hair serum product is completely safe on direct application to the scalp and showed significant improvement in the hair growth rate, hair density, scalp condition and reduction in hair fall. .

The size of nanocarriers determines the biological property of the materials, especially as it relates to intratumoral distribution. Previous research has shown that sizes of 10-50 nm penetrate deep inside the tumor, resulting in better efficacy. On the other hand, studies have shown that gelatin exhibits excellent biological properties, including compatibility, degradability, and toxicity. Therefore, FDA approved gelatin as a safe material to use as an excipient in injectables. The bottleneck is the nonexistence of smaller-sized gelatin nanoparticles (GNPs) to realize the full potential of these biomaterials. Yet, GNPs with sizes of less than 50 nm have not been reported;the synthetic strategy reported in the literature uses “uncontrolled crosslinking coupled with nanoprecipitation”, resulting in larger particle size. We have developed a new method to self-assemble gelatin strands by using an anionic, phosphate-based crosslinker and controlled precipitation. The method we developed produced ultra-small gelatin nanoparticles (GX) of size 10 nm with a high degree of reproducibility, and it was characterized using dynamic light scattering (DLS), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), High-resolution transmission, and scanning electron microscopy (HR-TEM/STEM). We also explored GX as a bioactive platform to encapsulate imaging and therapy agents within the cavity. Interestingly, we were able to encapsulate 2 nm size gold nanoparticles within the void of GX. The versatile nature of the GX particles was further demonstrated by surface functionalizing with larger size gelatin nanoparticles to form core-satellite nanocomposites. Additionally, we studied the tumor penetrability of dye-tagged 10, 50, and 200 nm gelatin nanoparticles. The study showed that smaller size gelatin nanoparticles penetrate deeper tumor regions than larger particles. In general, GX was efficient in penetrating the inner region of the spheroids. AIM:To investigate the chemopreventive iffects of 1α,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 in diethylnitrosamine induced,phenobarbital promoted rat ***:The rats were randomly divided into 6 different groups(A-F).Group A,C and E rats received a single intraperitoneal (i.p) injection of diethylnitrosamine (DEN) at a dose of 200 mg/kg body mass in 9 g/L NaCl solution at 4 wk of age ,while group B served as normal vehicle control received normal saline *** a brief recovery of 2 WK, all the DEN treated rats were given phenobarbital (PB) at 0.5g/L daily in the basal diet till WK *** C was started 4 wk prior to DEN injection and continued thereafter till wk 20 at a dose (os) twice a *** E received the treatment of 1α,25-(OH)2D3 at the same dose mentioned as above for 15 *** rats in group D and F received 1α,25-(OH)2D3 alone as in group C without DEN ***:The comet assay showed statistically higher mean values for length to width ratios (L:W) of DNA mass and tailed cells (p<0.01;p<0.01 respectively) in DEN treated rats as compared to their normal *** supplementation of 1α,25-dihydroxyvitaminD3 showed a significant (p<0.01) decrease in L:W ratio of DNA mass tailed ***,1α,25-(OH)2D3 supplementations elevated the super oxide dismutase (SOD) activety,hepatic malondialdehyde(MDA) levle,reduced glutathione (GSH) and glutathione S-transferase (GST) activety (p<0.01,p<0.01,p<0.05 and p<0.05 respectively).As an endpoint marker histological changes were observed to establish the chemopreventive effects of 1α,***:Supplementations of 1α,25-(OH)2D3 has a marked protection against hepatic nodelogenesis,antioxidant enzymes and DNA damages in DEN induced rat hepatocarcinogenesis promoted by phenobarbital.

This paper deals with optimal pricing of a personalized product such as a personal portrait or photo. A new model of the pricing structure inspired by two real-life cases is introduced to the literature and solved to obtain optimal photo sitting fees and the final product price. A sensitivity analysis with respect to the problem parameters is performed.

The grid-connected or standalone PV central inverter architecture is comprised of several PV modules which are connected in different ways to form the PV *** power generation capability of the PV array is primarily affected by partial shading conditions(PSC).Due to PSCs,the power output of the PV array is dramatically reduced,and mismatching losses are induced in the PV *** on the extent of these problems,multiple peaks also appear in the power-voltage(P-V)curve,which makes it very difficult to track the global maximum power point(GMPP).The main objective of this research paper is to model and simulate the series(S),series-parallel(SP),bridge-link(BL),honey-comb(HC),total-cross-tied(TCT)and proposed triple-tied(TT)solar PV array configurations under various partial shading *** performance of all PV configurations is evaluated under a uniform approach,considering eight different shading *** performance of the considered PV configurations is analyzed in terms of their mismatching power losses,fill factors,efficiency,global maximum power points(GMPPs),local maximum power points(LMPPs),voltages and currents at GMPPs,open circuit voltage and short circuit *** above-mentioned PV configurations are modeled and simulated in a Matlab/Simulink environment by considering the KC-200GT module parameters.

Maximum power extraction from the photovoltaic(PV) system plays a critical role in increasing efficiency duringpartial shading conditions (PSCs). It directly reduces the outputpower of the PV array. There are different factors, such as bypassdiode configuration, array size, array configuration, shade intensity, environmental conditions etc., affecting the performance ofthe solar photovoltaic panel. Furthermore, series (S), parallel (P),series-parallel (SP), total-cross-tied (TCT), bridge-linked (BL),and honey-comb (HC), etc., are the various configurations to dealwith the mentioned issues. But these PV array configurations alsohave drawbacks, such as low dispersion factor, mismatch losses,and line losses under partial shading conditions. To overcomethese issues, the reconfiguration of the PV array is one of theeffective approaches. A comprehensive study of literature showsthat PV modules are connected under different reconfiguredschemes namely Sudoku, Optimal Sudoku, Magic square, zigzag, Skyscraper, etc. In this paper, a comprehensive review isperformed to highlight the advantages and limitations of eachscheme. This study can be used to address the advancementin this area since some parameter comparisons are made at theend of every technique, which might be a prominent base-rule forpicking the most promising reconfiguration technique for furtherresearch.
