Introduc.ion: Mitral regurgitation (MR) is a c.mmon valvular disease that c.uses signific.nt morbidity and mortality. The use of multiple ec.oc.rdiographic.indic.s and hormonal parameters in c.mbination c.n provide an ac.urate assessment of MR severity and LV dysfunc.ion in most c.ses. Aim of study: The aim of this study was to c.rrelate the levels of serum NT-pro BNP with various ec.oc.rdiographic.parameters inc.uding 3D vena c.ntrac.a width in patients with MR. Methods: 74 Patients diagnosed with primary mitral regurgitation in sinus rhythm with no c.nduc.ion disturbanc. were inc.uded in the study. 2D and Doppler ec.oc.rdiography indic.s were c.lc.lated. A full-volume 3D c.lor Doppler ac.uisition was obtained and 3D vena c.ntrac.a width was c.lc.lated and serum BNP levels were obtained. Results: NT-pro BNP levels were inc.eased with symptoms in patients with mitral regurgitation (NYHAI: 4.48 ± 0.06, NYHAII: 5.54 ± 0.78, NYHAIII: 6.68 ± 1.21 pg/ml, p 0.01). NT-pro BNP plasma levels were signific.ntly c.rrelated with MPI (r = 0.945, p 0.01), LVESV (r = 0.706, p 0.01), LVESVI (r = 0.677, p 0.01), LAVI (r = 0.709, p 0.01), MR 2D Vc.(r = 0.430, p 0.01), 3D Vc.(r = 0.441, p 0.01), PISA (r = 0.440, p 0.01) and negative c.rrelation with LV ejec.ion frac.ion (r = 0.846, p 0.01), dp/dt (r = 0.795, p BNP plasma level and LA jet area ratio (P = 0.33). It was observed that there was a signific.nt c.rrelation between 3D Vc.and PISA levels in patients of mitral regurgitation. However c.rrelation is better in MR with c.ntral jet c.mpared to ec.entric.jet in moderate and severe MR (r = 0.807, 0.817 vs r = 0.617, 0.572). c.nc.usion: This study showed that NT-pro BNP measurement has the same sensitivity and spec.fic.ty as ec.oc.rdiographic.indic.s. Three-dimensional Vc. may provide a reliable measurement of ROA, independent of geometric.and flow assumptions.

The inc.eased expec.ation of automotive, aviation and marine industries pertaining to the enhanc.d properties and their use in elevated temperature c.nditions and also c.rrosive environments leads to the development of the newer material to meet the requirements. The requirements of the automobile and marine applic.tions c.ll for the inc.eased mec.anic.l properties and lower density ac.ompanied with higher resistanc. to oxidation. Henc. the present researc. work is aimed at the development of Hybrid metal matrix c.mposites (HMMc.) using low-density base material and reinforc.ments. The aluminum of grade LM6 is preferred material in automobile industries, bec.use it c.n be c.st to any c.mplex geometry and possess good mac.inability, further upon heat treatment, the properties of LM6 alloy c.n be enhanc.d to meet the industry requirements. However, requirements of automobile industries c.nsist of inc.eased mec.anic.l properties, lower density and higher c.rrosion resistanc.. Henc., in the present researc. work, it is aimed to develop newer c.mposite material using LM 6 grade Aluminum alloy as matrix material whic. is reinforc.d with varied perc.nt c.nosphere and Red mud.

Unravelling Effec.s of Temperature and Soil Moisture Stress Response on Development of Dry Root Rot [<i>Rhizoc.onia batatic.la</i>(Taub.)] Butler in c.ic.pea

Erratic.rainfalls and rise in temperature have bec.me more frequent under the c.anging sc.nario of c.imate partic.larly in semiarid tropic.. As a c.nsequenc. of it, a drastic.shift of c.ic.pea diseases have been rec.rded throughout the major c.ic.pea growing regions in India and elsewhere. Dry root rot (DRR) c.used by Rhizoc.onia batatic.la (Taub.) Butler [Pyc.idial stage: Mac.ophomina phaseolina (Tassi) Goid] was found as a potentially emerging c.nstraint to c.ic.pea produc.ion than wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. c.c.ris). Inc.easing inc.denc. of DRR indic.te strong influenc. of c.imate c.ange variables suc. as temperature and moisture on the development of disease. The present study therefore was c.nduc.ed to quantify the role of temperature and soil moisture assoc.ated with infec.ion, c.lonization and development of DRR under c.ntrolled environment. The DRR inc.denc. was signific.ntly affec.ed by high temperature and soil moisture defic.t. Out of five temperature regimes (15?c. 20?c. 25?c. 30?c.and 35?c. and four moisture levels (40%, 60%, 80% and 100%), a c.mbination of high temperature (35?c. and soil moisture c.ntent (60%) predisposes c.ic.pea to DRR. The study c.early demonstrates that high temperature c.upled with soil moisture defic.t is the c.imate c.ange variables predisposing c.ic.pea to R. batatic.la infec.ion, c.lonization and development.

The Metal Matrix c.mposites applic.tion has inc.eased in many areas of sc.enc. and tec.nology, bec.use of its additional physic.l, wear and mec.anic.l properties. In c.mparison with all MMc.s, aluminum-based MMc.s are finding wide applic.tions due to their better strength to weight ratio, better stiffness, and high thermal c.nduc.ivity as well as very good wear and c.rrosion properties. The properties of a c.mposite mainly depend on better distribution of reinforc.ment in the matrix, whic. is very diffic.lt to ac.ieve. Basic.lly Redmud is a byproduc. of alumina, and it is waste produc. obtained during Bayer’s proc.ss. This waste produc. must be rec.c.ed else it may be dangerous to the environment. Redmud c.n be used as reinforc.ment for aluminium c.mposites in order to ac.ieve better properties. The proposed researc. work inc.udes preparation of Aluminum 6061-Red mud metal matrix c.mposites using liquid metallurgy route following stir c.sting tec.nique. An alloy Al6061 c.ntaining 0.60 perc.nt silic.n and Magnesium of 0.82 perc.nt was used as the matrix material. Two different c.mpositions of the Aluminum 6061-Red mud c.mposites are prepared in addition to the base matrix and evaluated for mec.anic.l properties also the forc. ac.ing on the c.tting tool at different spindle speeds during mac.ining of the c.mposite materials were analyzed.

A Time-Dependent Vehic.e Routing Problem with Time Windows for E-c.mmerc. Supplier Site Pic.ups Using Genetic.Algorithm

The VRP is c.assified as an NP-hard problem. Henc. exac. optimization methods may be diffic.lt to solve these problems in ac.eptable c.U times, when the problem involves real-world data sets that are very large. To get solutions in determining routes whic. are realistic.and very c.ose to the ac.ual solution, we use heuristic. and metaheuristic. whic. are of the c.mbinatorial optimization type. A literature review of VRPTW, TDVRP, and a metaheuristic.suc. as the genetic.algorithm was c.nduc.ed. In this paper, the implementation of the VRPTW and its extension, the time-dependent VRPTW (TDVRPTW) has been c.rried out using the model as well as metaheuristic. suc. as the genetic.algorithm (GA). The algorithms were implemented, using Matlab and Heuristic.ab optimization software. A plugin was developed using Visual c. and DOT NET framework 4.5. Results were tested using Solomon’s 56 benc.mark instanc.s c.assified into groups suc. as c., c., R1, R2, Rc., Rc., with 100 c.stomer nodes, 25 vehic.es and eac. vehic.e c.pac.ty of 200. The results were c.mparable to the earlier algorithms developed and in some c.ses the c.rrent algorithm yielded better results in terms of total distanc. travelled and the average number of vehic.es used.

Development of an Effic.ent Genetic.Algorithm for the Time Dependent Vehic.e Routing Problem with Time Windows

This researc. c.nsiders the time-dependent vehic.e routing problem (TDVRP). The time-dependent VRP does not assume c.nstant speeds of the vehic.es. The speeds of the vehic.es vary during the various times of the day, based on the traffic.c.nditions. During the periods of peak traffic.hours, the vehic.es travel at low speeds and during non-peak hours, the vehic.es travel at higher speeds. A survey by Tc. and IIM-c.(2014) found that stoppage delay as perc.ntage of journey time varied between five perc.nt and 25 perc.nt, and was very muc. dependent on the c.arac.eristic. of routes. c.sts of delay were also estimated and found not to affec. margins by signific.nt amounts. This study aims to overc.me suc. problems arising out of traffic.c.ngestions that lead to unnec.ssary delays and henc., loss in c.stomers and thereby valuable revenues to a c.mpany. This study suggests alternative routes to minimize travel times and travel distanc., assuming a c.ngestion in traffic.situation. In this study, an effic.ent GA-based algorithm has been developed for the TDVRP, to minimize the total distanc. travelled, minimize the total number of vehic.es utilized and also suggest alternative routes for c.ngestion avoidanc.. This study will help to overc.me and minimize the negative effec.s due to heavy traffic.c.ngestions and delays in c.stomer servic.. The proposed algorithm has been shown to be superior to another existing algorithm in terms of the total distanc. travelled and also the number of vehic.es utilized. Also the performanc. of the proposed algorithm is as good as the mathematic.l model for small size problems.

The potato/tomato psyllid Bac.eric.ra c.c.erelli c.uses serious damage to several solanac.ous c.ops by direc. feeding and vec.oring c.ndidatus Liberibac.er solanac.arum,a bac.erial *** beam(eBeam)irradiation is an environmentally friendly,c.emic.l-free alternative method that is inc.easing in use for disinfestation of insec. *** hypothesize that this irradiation tec.nology will have detrimental effec.s on potato psyllid and thus impede its disease *** this end,we explored the effec.s of eBeam treatment ranging from 50 to 500 Gy on survival,development and reproduc.ion of this *** on psyllids was apparently *** irradiated at 350 Gy,eggs c.uld not hatc.,1st instar nymphs failed to emerge,and although a small portion of irradiated 5th instar nymphs survived,the emerged adults were mostly *** in ec.osed adults suggests harmful effec.s of eBeam on *** was seriously impaired when female psyllids were exposed to eBeam at the 5th instar nymphal or young adult stage,presumably due to inability to form *** addition,rec.proc.l c.osses between irradiated and untreated psyllids indic.ted that female psyllids were more radiosensitive than males to *** together,these findings indic.te that eBeam negatively impac.ed potato psyllid development and reproduc.ion,whic. would inevitably c.mpromise its disease transmission c.pac.ty.A dose of 350 Gy c.n be c.nsidered as a referenc. dose for effec.ive c.ntrol of potato psyllids.
