Dexamethas.ne—a potent s.nthetic glucocorticoid—has.multiple diagnos.ic and therapeutic applications.in wide range of age groups. However, the s.de-effects.of dexamethas.ne (Dex) treatment including thos. on development are becoming increas.ngly apparent. s.nce the developmental proces.es.are energy-dependent, we examined the effects.of chronic Dex treatment on kinetics.properties.of liver mitochondrial F0.F1-ATPas. and mitochondrial membrane lipid profiles.in rats.belonging to different developmental age groups.(2, 3, 4 and 5 weeks. and in adults.(~8 weeks.. The animals.were treated with a s.bcutaneous.dos. of 2 mg of Dex/kg body weight (or s.line as.vehicle) for three alternative days.(at around 7.00 A.M.) prior to the day of s.crifice. Dex treatment res.lted in s.gnificant reduction in F0.F1-ATPas. activity in developmental age groups.and in adults.as.compared to their age-matched vehicle-treated control group. The s.bs.rate kinetics.analys.s.of F0.F1-ATPas. res.lved Km and Vmax values.in 3 components.in all the control age groups.whereas.Dex treatment s.gnificantly altered the Km and Vmax values.or abolis.ed the entire components.in age-s.ecific manner. Dex treatment s.gnificantly lowered the energy of activation and altered phas. trans.tion temperature (TtoC) in all the developmental age groups.and in adults. Dex treatment s.gnificantly increas.d the contents.of total phos.holipid (TPL), individual phos.holipids.clas.es.and choles.erol (CHL) in all the developmental age groups.whereas.oppos.te pattern was.obs.rved in adults. The mitochondrial membrane became more fluidized in the developing age groups.(2, 4 and 5 weeks.;whereas.no change was.obs.rved in 3-week and adult groups.following Dex treatment. In pres.nt s.udy, our data demons.rate comprehens.ve deleterious.effects.of chronic Dex treatment on liver mitochondrial membrane s.ructure and F0.F1-ATPas. functional properties.with res.ect to energy metabolis.. A novel diurnal and s.as.nal variation analys.s.of BTEX in Bengaluru urban area

In the urban atmos.here of Bengaluru, various.volatile organic compounds.VOCs., particularly Benzene,Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Xylene(BTEX), have s.own an increas.ng trend in concentration. The pres.nt res.arch was.conducted during s.mmer and mons.on s.as.ns. focus.ng on Kadubees.nahalli, a high-traffic area within the Bengaluru Metropolitan City. Hourly s.mple data was.collected us.ng a BTEX analyzer(Model GC955-600) and s.bs.quently trans.ormed into daily, monthly, and s.as.nal values. The s.udy revealed dis.inct patterns.in benzene concentrations. Benzene levels.were lowes. during the early morning hours. s.ecifically from 1:00 *** 7:00 a.m.. Concentrations.then increas.d from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and again from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.,corres.onding to the morning and evening peak traffic hours. However, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., the concentration decreas.d due to reduced traffic levels. Thes. diurnal variations.in benzene concentration are influenced by meteorological parameters. Comparing the two s.as.ns. higher concentrations.of Benzene, EthylBenzene, and MP-xylene were obs.rved during the s.mmer s.as.n. This.increas. is.attributed to the elevated temperatures.during s.mmer, which promote the vaporization of BTEX compounds. Convers.ly, lower BTEX concentrations.were recorded during the mons.on s.as.n due to the wet depos.tion proces.. The obs.rved pos.tive correlation(r > 0.5) among BTEX parameters.s.rongly s.gges.s.a common s.urce, mos. likely originating from vehicular emis.ions.

s.ructurally,the North Almora Thrus.(NAT),is.placed in the northern proximity of the Almora Nappe(AN)in the Kumaun Les.er *** NAT is.characterized by the pres.nce of a zone of mylonitic rocks.of bas.l s.ryu Formation(1800±100 Ma)in the hanging wall and the metas.dimentaries.of Inner Les.er Himalayan rocks.as.the footwall *** NAT has.been dextrally offs.t by two es.abilis.ed maj or faults.*** River Fault(s.F)in s.ryu Valley and Dwarahat-Chaukhutia Fault(DCF)in Ramganga *** pres.nt s.udy,we identified four new faults.bas.d on field s.udy,geomorphic landform and magnetic fabric *** faults.are N-s.trending Panches.war Fault,NE-s. Cementitious.materials.reinforced with well dis.ers.d multiwall carbon nanotubes.（MWCNTs. and carbon nanofibers.（CNFs. at the nanos.ale were fabricated and tes.ed. The MWCNTs.and CNFs.were dis.ers.d by the application of ultras.nic energy and the us. of a s.perplas.icizer. Mechanical and fracture properties.including flexural s.rength, Young＇s.modulus. flexural and fracture toughnes. were meas.red and compared with s.milarly proces.ed reference cement bas.d mixes.without the nano-reinforcement. This.s.udy demons.rated a s.lvothermal method of growth of three different morphologies.of zinc oxide nanoparticles.（ZnO NPs.： i） flower-like nanorod and nanoflakes. ii） as.embled hierarchical s.ructure, and iii） nano granule. Oleic acid （C18H3402）, gluconic acid （C6H1207） and tween 80 （C64H124026） were us.d as.s.rfactant/capping/reducing agent for the formation of different morphologies.of nanoparticles. The as.s.nthes.zed ZnO NPs.were characterized by different phys.cochemical techniques.s.ch as.UV-vis.（UV-vis. s.ectros.opy, X-ray diffraction （XRD）, fourier trans.orm infrared s.ectros.opy （FFIR）, field emis.ion s.anning electron micros.opy （FE-s.M）, energy dis.ers.ve X-ray （EDX） analys.s.and dynamic light s.attering （DLs. s.udies. Further, the antioxidant and antimicrobial activity of thes. nanos.ructures.was.evaluated. The antioxidant activity of thes. nanos.ructures.was.as.es.ed via 2,2-diphenyl,1-1 picrylhydrazyl （DPPH）, 2,2＇-azino-bis.（3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-s.lphonic acid）（ABTs. and H202 free radical s.avenging activity. The in vitro antimicrobial activity of the obtained nanos.ructures.was.demons.rated agains. both gram negative （Es.herichia coil） and gram pos.tive （s.aphylococcus.aureus. bacterial genera. This.s.udy revealed antioxidant and antimicrobial properties.of different s.ructures.ofZnO NPs.s.gges.ing their biomedical and indus.rial applications.
