Relative quantification of phosphoproteomic changes in grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) leaves in response to abscisic acid

In a previous transcriptomic analysis,abscisic acid(ABA)was found to affect the abundance of a number of transcripts in leaves of Cabernet Sauvignon grapevines with roots that had been exposed to 10μM ABA for 2 *** work has indicated that ABA affects protein abundance and protein phosphorylation as *** this study we investigated changes in protein abundance and phosphorylation of Cabernet Sauvignon grapevine *** abundance was assessed by both label-free and isobaric-label quantitive proteomic *** identified common proteins,but also additional proteins not found with the other ***,several thousand proteins were identified and several hundred were *** addition,hundreds of phosphoproteins were *** of proteins were found to be affected in the leaf after the roots had been exposed to ABA for 2 h,more than half of them were phosphorylated *** phosphosites were confirmed and several new ones were *** increased the abundance of some proteins,but the majority of the proteins had their protein abundance *** of these proteins were involved in growth and plant organ development,including proteins involved in protein synthesis,photosynthesis,sugar and amino-acid *** study provides new insights into how ABA regulates plant responses and acclimation to water deficits.

The serum squamous cell carcinoma antigen level in inverted sinonasal papilloma and nasal polyps patients

Objective:To clarify whether the serum squamous cell carcinoma antigen(SCCA)levels of patients with inverted papilloma(IP)are different from patients with nasal polyps(NP)and *** and methods:Serum SCCA levels were measured in 30 patients with IP and 30 patients with NP at one day before surgery and seven days after surgery and measured in 28 patients with ***:Elevated serum SCCA levels(>1.5 ng/ml)were found in 80.0%of patients in the IP group,6.7%of patients in the NP group and 14.3%of patients in the rhinitis group,which was a significant *** medians of serum SCCA levels in the IP,NP and rhinitis groups were 3.9,0.8 and 1.1 ng/ml,respectively,which was a significant *** SCCA level in IP group was not significantly correlated according to Krouse *** was a significant difference in serum SCCA levels between the pre-and postoperative stages in the IP group,at 3.9 and 0.8 ng/ml,respectively,while in the NP group the levels were 0.8 and 1.0 ng/ml,not significantly *** regard to the IP diagnosis in the IP and NP group based on the SCCA level(>1.5 ng/ml),sensitivity and specificity was 80.0%and 93.3%,***:The serum SCCA level in patients with IP was elevated and then it decreased after *** was different from NP and rhinitis patients who mostly had normal levels,which did not change.

Clostridioides difficile(***)is a gram-positive,anaerobic spore-forming bacterium and a major cause of antibiotic-associated *** are naturally resistant to *** infection(CDI)owing to the protection provided by healthy gut *** the gut microbiota is disturbed,*** can colonize,produce toxins,and manifest clinical symptoms,ranging from asymptomatic diarrhea and colitis to *** the steady-if not risingprevalence of CDI,it will certainly become more problematic in a world of antibiotic overuse and the post-antibiotic *** is naturally resistant to most of the currently used antibiotics as it uses multiple resistance ***,current CDI treatment regimens are extremely limited to only a few antibiotics,which include vancomycin,fidaxomicin,and ***,one of the main challenges experienced by the scientific community is the development of alternative approaches to control and treat *** this Frontier article,we collectively summarize recent advances in alternative treatment approaches for *** the past few years,several studies have reported on natural product-derived compounds,drug repurposing,highthroughput library screening,phage therapy,and fecal microbiota *** also include an update on vaccine development,pre-and probiotics for CDI,and toxin antidote *** measures tackle CDI at every stage of disease pathology via multiple *** also discuss the gaps and concerns in these *** next epidemic of CDI is not a matter of if but a matter of ***,being well-equipped with a collection of alternative therapeutics is necessary and should be prioritized.
