Performance prediction of gravity concentrator by using artificial neural network-a case study

In conventional chromite beneficiation plant, huge quantity of chromite is used to loss in the form of tailing. For recovery these valuable mineral, a gravity concentrator viz. wet shaking table was *** along with performance prediction of the unit operation is necessary for efficient ***, in this present study, an artificial neural network(ANN) modeling approach was attempted for predicting the performance of wet shaking table in terms of grade(%) and recovery(%). A three layer feed forward neural network(3:3–11–2:2) was developed by varying the major operating parameters such as wash water flow rate(L/min), deck tilt angle(degree) and slurry feed rate(L/h). The predicted value obtained by the neural network model shows excellent agreement with the experimental values.

Thermal energy conversion and also storage system is to advance knowledge and develop practical solutions at the intersection of micro and nano-scale engineering,energy conversion,and *** research addresses the challenge of enhancing these critical aspects to ensure prolonged system performance and durability in the context of evolving energy *** research analyses the anti-oxidation and filtration behaviours of micro and nano-scale structures in the context of electro-and photo-thermal energy conversion and also storage systems.A micro multiscale hierarchical structure strategy is presented to fabricate multi-scale double-layer porous wick evaporators with the electrospun nanofibers made of gelatin-polyamide 6(GPA6)and Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene/silver nanowire with Cellulose Micro/NanoFibers(CMNF)cryogens by using spark plasma sintering(SPS)based high-pressure hydrothermal treatment *** excellent anti-oxidation effect was offered by coating the film in thermal conditions and the anti-oxidation properties were further examined from 500℃to850℃.The results are analysed using Matlab software to improve the efficiency of energy conversion processes by integrating nanostructures into thermal systems,to increase energy output while minimizing *** silver nanowire is with a heat transfer coefficient of 78%,a mass remaining rate of 98.7%,and an energy storage efficiency of 23.8%.This study enhances energy density and duration by integrating nanostructures into thermal systems while minimizing energy losses,and it not only exhibits excellent anti-oxidation properties but also possesses superior filtration capabilities for designing and engineering multifunctional nanomaterials.

Effect of desliming on the magnetic separation of low-grade ferruginous manganese ore

In the present investigation, magnetic separation studies using an induced roll magnetic separator were conducted to beneficiate low-grade ferruginous manganese ore. The feed ore was assayed to contain 22.4% Mn and 35.9% SiO2, with a manganese-to-iron mass ratio （Mn：Fe ratio） of 1.6. This ore was characterized in detail using different techniques, including quantitative evaluation of minerals by scan- ning electron microscopy, which revealed that the ore is extremely siliceous in nature and that the associated gangue minerals are more or less evenly distributed in almost all of the size fractions in major proportion. Magnetic separation studies were conducted on both the as-received ore fines and the classified fines to enrich their manganese content and Mn：Fe ratio. The results indicated that the efficiency of separation for deslimed fines was better than that for the treated unclassified bulk sample. On the basis of these results, we proposed a proc- ess flow sheet for the beneficiation of low-grade manganese ore fines using a Floatex density separator as a pre-concentrator followed by two-stage magnetic separation. The overall recovery of manganese in the final product from the proposed flow sheet is 44.7% with an assay value of 45.8% and the Mn：Fe ratio of 3.1.

The colorful,nutrient-rich peels of citrus fruits have long been valued for their tangy flavors and aromatic *** oils are produced and stored in special secretory structures called oil glands,which are prevalent across citrus varieties(Knight et al.,2001).Oil glands serve as"reservoirs"for diverse metabolites such as terpenes and flavonoids that give citrus fruits their characteristic aroma(Mahato et al.,2019;Voo et al.,2012;Xian et al.,2022).Many of these compounds also act as chemical defenses against pest and pathogens(Fisher and Phillips,2008).

Bioaccumulation and biosorption in microalgae are effective approaches for the removal of heavy metals(HMs)from river *** objective of this study was to investigate the potential for use of acclimatized microalgae in the removal of HMs from the Yamuna River water as an acclimatizing *** active culture of Arthrospira platensis(***)was acclimatized to HMs up to a concentration of 100 mg/*** was gradually exposed to increasing concentrations of HMs in five subsequent batches with a step increase of 20 mg/L to acclimatize live cells in the simulated Yamuna River *** presence of high levels of HMs in the Yamuna River water caused growth *** empirical growth inhibition model was developed,and it predicted high threshold concentrations of HMs(210.7e424.5 mg/L),producing a positive specific growth rate of *** also showed high average removal efficiencies of HMs,including 74.0%for Cu,77.0%for Cd,50.5%for Ni,76.0%for Cr,76.5%for Pb,and 63.5%for Co,from HMs-enriched Yamuna River *** findings demonstrated that the maximum specific removal amounts of Cu,Cd,Ni,Cr,Pb,and Co were 54.0,58.0,39.0,62.8,58.9,and 45.3 mg/g,*** maximum yields of the value-added products chlorophyll and phycocyanin were 2.5 mg/g(in a batch of 40 mg/L for Cd)and 1054 mg/g(in a batch of 20 mg/L for Cu),***,acclimatized *** was proven to be a potential microalga not only for sequestration of HMs but also for production of valuable pigments.

We present a new reliable analytical study for solving the discontinued problems arising in nanotechnology. Such problems are presented as nonlinear differential-difference equations. The proposed method is based on the Laplace trans- form with the homotopy analysis method （HAM）. This method is a powerful tool for solving a large amount of problems. This technique provides a series of functions which may converge to the exact solution of the problem. A good agreement between the obtained solution and some well-known results is obtained.
