Lower back pain is one of the most common medical problems in the world and it is experienced by a huge percentage of people *** to its ability to produce a detailed view of the soft tissues,including the spinal cord,nerves,intervertebral discs,and vertebrae,Magnetic Resonance Imaging is thought to be the most effective method for imaging the *** semantic segmentation of vertebrae plays a major role in the diagnostic process of lumbar *** is difficult to semantically partition the vertebrae in Magnetic Resonance Images from the surrounding variety of tissues,including muscles,ligaments,and intervertebral discs.U-Net is a powerful deep-learning architecture to handle the challenges of medical image analysis tasks and achieves high segmentation *** work proposes a modified U-Net architecture namely MU-Net,consisting of the Meijering convolutional layer that incorporates the Meijering filter to perform the semantic segmentation of lumbar vertebrae L1 to L5 and sacral vertebra ***-colour mask images were generated and used as ground truth for training the *** work has been carried out on 1312 images expanded from T1-weighted mid-sagittal MRI images of 515 patients in the Lumbar Spine MRI Dataset publicly available from Mendeley *** proposed MU-Net model for the semantic segmentation of the lumbar vertebrae gives better performance with 98.79%of pixel accuracy(PA),98.66%of dice similarity coefficient(DSC),97.36%of Jaccard coefficient,and 92.55%mean Intersection over Union(mean IoU)metrics using the mentioned dataset.

The uniqueness theorem and the theorem of reciprocity in the linearized porous piezoelectricity are established under the assumption of positive definiteness of elastic and electric fields. General theorems in the linear theory of porous piezoelectric materials are proved for the quasi-static electric field approximation. The uniqueness theorem is also proved without using the positive definiteness of the elastic field. An eigenvalue problem associated with free vibrations of a porous piezoelectric body is stud- ied using the abstract formulation. Some properties of operators are also proved. The problem of frequency shift due to small disturbances, based on an abstract formulation, is studied using a variational and operator approach. A perturbation analysis of a special ease is also given.

The propagation of a Bleustein-Gulyaev （B-G） type wave in a structure consisting of multiple layers and a half-space of porous piezoelectric materials is theoreti- cally studied. The solutions of the problem in terms of the mechanical displacements and electric potential functions are obtained for each layer and the half-space. The dispersion equation is obtained for electrically open and shorted boundary conditions by use of the transfer matrix method. A peculiar kind of B-G waves is investigated, which can propagate only in the layer over the half-space. The relationship between the piezoelectric constants and the dielectric constants is found for the existence of a peculiar kind of propagation modes. The numerical results in terms of the phase velocity and the electromechanical coupling factor with different thicknesses of the layer stack are presented.

Multi-model ensembles are one of the most common ways to deal with epistemic uncertainty in hydrology. This is a problem because there is no known way to sample models such that the resulting ensemble admits a measure that has any systematic (i.e., asymptotic, bounded, or consistent) relationship with uncertainty. Multi-model ensembles are effectively sensitivity analyses and cannot – even partially – quantify uncertainty. One consequence of this is that multi-model approaches cannot support a consistent scientific method – in particular, multi-model approaches yield unbounded errors in inference. In contrast, information theory supports a coherent hypothesis test that is robust to (i.e., bounded under) arbitrary epistemic uncertainty. This paper may be understood as advocating a procedure for hypothesis testing that does not require quantifying uncertainty, but is coherent and reliable (i.e., bounded) in the presence of arbitrary (unknown and unknowable) uncertainty. We conclude by offering some suggestions about how this proposed philosophy of science suggests new ways to conceptualize and construct simulation models of complex, dynamical systems.

In sensor networks,it is a challenge to ensure the security of data exchange between packet switching nodes holding different private *** order to solve this problem,the present study proposes a scheme called multi-conditional proxy broadcast re-encryption(MC-PBRE).The scheme consists of the following roles:the source node,proxy server,and the target *** the condition is met,the proxy can convert the encrypted data of the source node into data that the target node can directly *** allows the proxy server to convert the ciphertext of the source node to a new ciphertext of the target node in a different group,while the proxy server does not need to store the key or reveal the *** the same time,the proxy server cannot obtain any valuable information in the *** paper formalizes the concept of MC-PBRE and its security model,and proposes a MC-PBRE scheme of ciphertext ***,the scheme security has been proved in the random oracle.

volatile organic compounds(vOCs)are the important precursors of the tropospheric ozone(O3)and secondary organic aerosols(SOA),both of which are known to harm human health and disrupt the earth’s climate *** this study,vOC emission factors,O3 and SOA formation potentials were estimated for two types of industrial boilers:coal-fired boilers(n=3)and oil-fired boilers(n=3).Results showed that EvOCs concentrations were more than nine times higher for oil-fire d boilers compared to those for coal-fired *** factors ofΣvOCs were found to be higher for oil-fired boilers(9.26-32.83 mg-vOC/kg)than for coal-fired boilers(1.57-4.13 mg-vOC/kg).Alkanes and aromatics were obtained as the most abundant groups in coal-fired boilers,while oxygenated organics and aromatics were the most contributing groups in oil-fired ***,n-hexane and o-ethyl toluene were the abundant vOC species in coal-fired boiler emissions,whereas toluene was the most abundant vOC species emitted from oil-fired boilers.O3 and SOA formation potentials were found 12 and 18 times,respectively,higher for oil-fired than for coal-fired *** OFP ranged from 3.99 to 11.39 mg-O3/kg for coal-fired *** oil-fired boilers,total OFP ranged from 36.16 to 131.93 mg-O3/***,total secondary organic aerosol potential(SOAP)ranged from 65.4 to 122.5 mg-SOA/kg and 779.9 to 2252.5 mg-SOA/kg for the coal-fired and oil-fired boilers,respectively.

In a quest of search for a new burning rate modifier for composite propellant, strontium titanate (SrTiO3), a perovskite oxide has been chosen for evaluation in a composite propellant formulation based on its other catalytic applications. Initially, SrTiO3 was characterized for particle size, morphology and material/ phase identification (using XRD). By varying SrTiO3 content in a standard composite propellant, different compositions were prepared and their performance and processing parameters like the end of mix (EOM) viscosity, mechanical properties, density, burning rate, pressure exponent (n-value), etc. were measured. The results reveal that 2% SrTiO3 causes more than 12% enhancement in propellant burning rate (at 70 ksc pressure) in comparison to the standard propellant composition. The pressure exponent also increases to 0.46, whereas the standard composition was having its value as 0.35.

This study aims to demystify the role of green energy and green technology in establishing the nexus between behavioural intentions of tourists,technologies,and digital payments by using Perceived value(Pv),Compatibility(CO),Perceived Enjoyment(PE),and Social Influence(SI)as a predictor variables,Trust(TR)and Satisfaction(SA)as a mediating variables and Behavioural Intentions(BI)as an outcome *** the empirical estimation,we employ smart PLS-SEM,TAM(Technology Acceptance Model)and SPSS and Tested the LCC *** findings suggest that green energy and perceived value have the highest positive impact on tourists’trust towards digital payments followed by compatibility,social influence and perceived ***,tourists’satisfaction and green technology is one of the important determinants of choosing any digital mode of payment,is mostly influence by perceived value,perceived enjoyment,compatibility and social ***,if we choose between trust and satisfaction,trust plays a significant role in exploring the behavioural intentions of tourists about green energy and green technology followed by tourists’*** addition,Tourists’trust and satisfaction are highly correlated and influence each *** study offers novel policy implications in terms of use of green technology and green energy in enhancing trust and satisfaction of tourists in order to deeper understanding of different dimensions of digital payments and M-wallets,and allowing them to explore the long-term value inherent of digital payments and M-wallets.
