Purpose-Diabetic retinopathy(DR)is a central root of blindness all over the *** DR is tough to diagnose in starting stages,and the detection procedure might be time-consuming even for qualified ***,intelligent disease detection techniques are extremely acceptable for progress analysis and recognition of various ***,a computer-aided diagnosis scheme based on intelligent learning approaches is intended to propose for diagnosing DR effectively using a benchmark ***/methodology/approach-The proposed DR diagnostic procedure involves four main steps:(1)image pre-processing,(2)blood vessel segmentation,(3)feature extraction,and(4)***,the retinal fundus image is taken for pre-processing with the help of Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization(CLAHE)and average *** the next step,the blood vessel segmentation is carried out using a segmentation process with optimized gray-level *** the blood vessels are extracted,feature extraction is done,using Local Binary Pattern(LBP),Texture Energy Measurement(TEM based on Laws of Texture Energy),and two entropy computations-Shanon’s entropy,and Kapur’s *** collected features are subjected to a classifier called Neural Network(NN)with an optimized training *** the gray-level thresholding and NN is enhanced by the Modified Levy Updated-Dragonfly Algorithm(MLU-DA),which operates to maximize the segmentation accuracy and to reduce the error difference between the predicted and actual outcomes of the ***,this classification error can correctly prove the efficiency of the proposed DR detection ***-The overall accuracy of the proposed MLU-DA was 16.6%superior to conventional classifiers,and the precision of the developed MLU-DA was 22%better than LM-NN,16.6%better than PSO-NN,GWO-NN,and ***,it is concluded that the implemented MLU-DA outperformed state-of-the-art algorithms in detecting ***

Genetic Diversity and Population Structure in Landraces and Improved Rice Varieties from India

A set of 50 rice genotypes comprising landraces, local selections, and improved varieties were characterized using simple sequence repeat（SSR） and inter simple sequence repeat（ISSR） markers to study genetic diversity and population structure. Following unweighted pair group method with arithmetic mean based clustering using binary data of polymorphic markers, the genotypes were grouped into 5 clusters and 11 sub-clusters, whereas population structure analysis separated 50 rice genotypes into 5 sub-populations. Grouping of rice genotypes showed better resemblance with the pedigree information of the genotypes. Both genetic diversity and population structure analysis separated majority of the improved varieties from landraces and local selections. Some of the SSR markers amplified unique alleles which were specific to a particular genotype and could distinguish them from the rest. The results indicate that these rice genotypes exhibit a higher genetic diversity and can be very useful in rice improvement program.

Objective:The aim of the study is to evaluate the effect of deferred androgen deprivation therapy on biochemical recurrence(BCR)and other survival parameters in node-positive prostate cancer patients after robot-assisted radical prostatectomy with bilateral extended pelvic lymph node dissection(RARP+EPLND).Materials and methods:Of the 453 consecutive RARP procedures performed from 2011 to 2018,100 patients with no prior use of androgen deprivation therapy were found to be lymph node(LN)positive and were observed,with initiation of salvage treatment at the time of BCR *** were divided into 1 or 2 LNs(67)-and more than 2 LNs(33)-positive groups to assess survival ***:At a median follow-up of 21 months(1-70 months),the LN group(p<0.000),preoperative prostate-specific antigen(PSA,p=0.013),tumor volume(TV,p=0.031),and LND(p=0.004)were significantly associated with *** multivariate analysis,only the LN group(p=0.035)and PSA level(p=0.026)were statistically *** estimated BCR-free survival rates in the 1/2 LN group were 37.6%(27%-52.2%),26.5%(16.8%-41.7%),and 19.9%(9.6%-41.0%)at 1,3,and 5 years,respectively,with a hazard of developing BCR of 0.462(0.225-0.948)compared with the more than 2 LN-positive *** 5-year overall survival,cancer-specific,metastasis-free,and local recurrence-free survival rates were 88.4%(73.1%-100%),89.5%(74%-100%),65.1%(46.0%-92.1%),and 94.8%(87.2%-100.0%),respectively,for which none of the factors were *** on cutoff values for PSA,TV,and LND of 30 ng/mL,30%,and 10%,respectively,the 1/2 LN group was substratified,wherein the median BCR-free survival for the low-and intermediate-risk groups was 40 and 12 months,***:Nearly one fourth and one fifth of 1/2 node-positive patients were BCR-free at 3 and 5 years after RARP+*** substratification using PSA,TV,and LN density may help in providing individualized care regarding the initiation of adjuvant therapy.

Novel one-pot synthesis of 4H-chromene derivatives using amino functionalized silica gel catalyst

A simple, efficient, and environmentally benign method for the synthesis of 4H-chromene derivatives was developed using well ordered and recoverable amino functionalized silica gel as a base catalyst. The 4H-chromene derivatives were obtained in short time and excellent yield （87%-96%） by three component reaction of aldehydes, malononitrile and cyclic 1,3-diketones in water at 70 ℃.

教育质量保障机构(QAA)对高等教育质量起着不可替代的作用,QAA的质量也成为关注的重点。继欧洲高等教育质量保障注册制(EQAR)之后,亚太地区教育质量保障注册制(APQR)成为世界第二家对质量保障机构实施注册制的国际性质量保障组织。本文回溯APQR产生的背景及历程,随后从评审标准、评审程序两方面对APQR的实施展开描述,最后总结了首次评审的三个特点。

Effect of Time of Planting on Cane Yield and Quality Characters in Sweet Sorghum

Sweet sorghum unlike grain sorghum has potential to accumulate sugars in stalks similar to sugarcane. Short duration and lower water requirements of sweet sorghum are other advantages over sugarcane. Sorghum is usually grown in kharif and rabi seasons. As an energy crop, industry demands supply of green cane as raw material through out the year. Hence this agronomic study was conducted to determine suitable time of planting of sweet sorghum under the agro climatic conditions prevailing in India, so that continuous supply of raw material is assured for factory operations through out the year, especially during the lean period of sugarcane crushing. Various physical and chemical characters of plant and stem juice were studied by taking up bimonthly plantings at four locations using 12 genotypes of sweet sorghum in the first year and quarterly plantings at four locations using 10 genotypes (8 genotypes common in both years) in the second year. Of the six plantings, planting during August and April were found to be not suitable for good sweet sorghum yields, therefore, in the second year, four plantings were taken up i.e., June, October, December and February at six locations. The various attributes selected for observations include cane yield, percent brix of stem juice, percent juice extractability, percent total soluble sugars and reducing sugars in the stem juice. Highest green cane yield and percent juice extractability was observed in June planting in all genotypes followed by February, and December in both bimonthly and quarterly plantings. Juice extraction percentage was also highest in June plantings followed by October, April and December plantings. June plantings recorded highest percent brix followed by December and February plantings in bimonthly plantings, while in quarterly planting, highest percent brix and total sugars in juice was observed in February planting followed by planting in June.

One of the most important parameters in meteorology is the mean wind proﬁle in the tropical cyclone boundary *** vertical proﬁle of wind speed and wind direction were measured during the period of the Nisarga cyclone from May 31st,2020,to June 5th,2020,using the newly installed Phased Array Doppler Sodar system at the Center for Space and Atmospheric Science(CSAS),Sanjay Ghodawat University,Kolhapur(16.74◦N,74.37◦E;near India's western coast).Our analysis revealed that the maximum mean wind speed was 17 m/s on June 3,2020,at 10:00 *** also shows the change in wind direction from southwest to southeast on June 2 and 3,*** high-resolution reanalysis data in the domain,0–25◦N,65–110◦E,during the period from May 31st to June 5th,2020,revealed the variation of the atmospheric pressure of the Nisarga cyclone from 1000 to 1008 hPa,sea surface temperature(SST)between 30◦C and 31◦C,outgoing longwave radiation(OLR)between 100 and 240 Wm-2,wind speed between 3 and 15 m/s,and low values of vertical wind shear(VWS)were observed to the north of Nisarga *** observations may provide more insights for the study of boundary layer turbulence during cyclonic activities.

Synthesis and Electrical Characterization of ZrO2 Thin Films on Si(100)

The ZrO2 thin films deposited on Si (100) were successfully synthesized by solgel process and deposited by using spin-coating *** structural properties of ZrO2 thin films were investigated by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), and electrical properties were studied by conventional techniques like Capacitance-Voltage (C-V) measurement and Current–Voltage (I–V) measurement. The XRD of ZrO2 films shows the films crystallized and exists in two phases at 700℃ calcinations temperature. The C–V characteristics of all the dielectric films that involved distinct inversion, depletion, and accumulation were clearly revealed in MIS structure. I-V characteristics of ZrO2 thin films on Si shows decreased saturation current on calcinations temperatures. The XPS measurement reveals that a zirconium silicate interfacial layer has formed in the ZrO2/Si Systems.

亚太地区教育质量保障注册制(APQR)作为对教育质量保障机构的一种国际性、非政府、自律性的约束和规制活动,在评估质量保障方面起到了重要作用。根据8家教育质量保障机构对APQR评审满意度的分析,发现APQR评审符合“第四代评估理论”的理念。从评审依据来看,APQR是建构主义的动态化评审;从评审重点来看,APQR重点审视质量保障机构开放、包容以及公信力三大方面;从评审结果来看,APQR灵活运用四个等级来进行综合判断。APQR具有可供借鉴的评审经验,但仍存在需要改进之处以更好实现可持续发展。
