Background:Toxocariasis is a neglected parasitic zoonosis that afflicts millions of the pediatric and adolescent populations worldwide,especially in impoverished *** disease is caused by infection with the larvae of Toxocara canis and ***,the most ubiquitous intestinal nematode parasite in dogs and cats,*** this article,recent advances in the epidemiology,clinical presentation,diagnosis and pharmacotherapies that have been used in the treatment of toxocariasis are *** text:Over the past two decades,we have come far in our understanding of the biology and epidemiology of ***,lack of laboratory infrastructure in some countries,lack of uniform case definitions and limited surveillance infrastructure are some of the challenges that hindered the estimation of global disease *** encompasses four clinical forms:visceral,ocular,covert and *** or misdiagnosis of any of these disabling conditions can result in severe health consequences and considerable medical care ***,multiple diagnostic modalities are available,which if effectively used together with the administration of appropriate pharmacologic therapies,can minimize any unnecessary patient ***:Although progress has been made in the management of toxocariasis patients,there remains much work to be *** of new technologies and better understanding of the pathogenesis of toxocariasis can identify new diagnostic biomarkers,which may help in increasing diagnostic ***,further clinical research breakthroughs are needed to develop better ways to effectively control and prevent this serious disease.

Rock fracture mechanism of buffer blasting with cushion layer at the borehole bottom

This study primarily investigates the rock fracture mechanism of bottom cushion layer blasting and explores the effects of the bottom cushion layer on rock *** involves analyses of the evolution patterns of blasting stress,characteristics of crack distribution,and rock fracture features in the ***,blasting model experiments were carried out using the dynamic caustics principle to investigate the influence of bottom cushion layers and initiation methods on the integrity of the bottom rock *** experimental results indicate that the combined use of bottom cushion layers and inverse initiation effectively protects the integrity of the bottom rock ***,the process of stress wave propagation and dynamic crack propagation in rocks was simulated using the continuum-discontinuum element method(CDEM)and the Landau explosion source model,with varying thicknesses of bottom cushion *** numerical simulation results indicate that with increasing cushion thickness,the absorption of energy generated by the explosion becomes more pronounced,resulting in fewer cracks in the bottom rock *** illustrates the positive role of the cushion layer in protecting the integrity of the bottom rock mass.

Quantum public-key crypto via EPR pairs

With the development of quantum computing technology, quantum public-key cryptography is gradually becoming an alternative to the existing classical public-key cryptography. This paper designs a quantum trapdoor one-way function via EPR pairs and quantum measurements. Based on this, a new quantum public-key cryptosystem is presented, which offers forward security,and can resist the chosen-plaintext attack and chosen-ciphertext attack. Compared with the existing quantum public-key cryptos,eavesdropping can be automatically detected in this new quantum public-key cryptosystem under a necessary condition, which is also detailed in the paper.

Controlled mutual quantum entity authentication using entanglement swapping

In this paper, we suggest a controlled mutual quantum entity authentication protocol by which two users mutually certify each other on a quantum network using a sequence of Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger（GHZ）-like states. Unlike existing unidirectional quantum entity authentication, our protocol enables mutual quantum entity authentication utilizing entanglement swapping; moreover, it allows the managing trusted center（TC） or trusted third party（TTP） to effectively control the certification of two users using the nature of the GHZ-like state. We will also analyze the security of the protocol and quantum channel.

Advances in therapies using mesenchymal stem cells and their exosomes for treatment of peripheral nerve injury:state of the art and future perspectives

“Peripheral nerve injury”refers to damage or trauma affecting nerves outside the brain and spinal *** nerve injury results in movements or sensation impairments,and represents a serious public health *** severed peripheral nerves have been effectively joined and various therapies have been offered,recovery of sensory or motor functions remains limited,and efficacious therapies for complete repair of a nerve injury remain *** emerging field of mesenchymal stem cells and their exosome-based therapies hold promise for enhancing nerve regeneration and *** stem cells,as large living cells responsive to the environment,secrete various factors and *** latter are nano-sized extracellular vesicles containing bioactive molecules such as proteins,microRNA,and messenger RNA derived from parent mesenchymal stem *** have pivotal roles in cell-to-cell communication and nervous tissue function,offering solutions to changes associated with cell-based *** ongoing investigations,mesenchymal stem cells and mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosome-based therapies are in the exploratory stage.A comprehensive review of the latest preclinical experiments and clinical trials is essential for deep understanding of therapeutic strategies and for facilitating clinical *** review initially explores current investigations of mesenchymal stem cells and mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes in peripheral nerve injury,exploring the underlying ***,it provides an overview of the current status of mesenchymal stem cell and exosomebased therapies in clinical trials,followed by a comparative analysis of therapies utilizing mesenchymal stem cells and ***,the review addresses the limitations and challenges associated with use of mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes,offering potential solutions and guiding future directions.

Tailoring Light–Matter Interactions in Overcoupled Resonator for Biomolecule Recognition and Detection

Plasmonic nanoantennas provide unique opportunities for precise control of light–matter coupling in surface-enhanced infrared absorption(SEIRA)spectroscopy,but most of the resonant systems realized so far suffer from the obstacles of low sensitivity,narrow bandwidth,and asymmetric Fano resonance ***,we demonstrated an overcoupled resonator with a high plasmon-molecule coupling coefficient(μ)(OC-Hμresonator)by precisely controlling the radiation loss channel,the resonator-oscillator coupling channel,and the frequency detuning *** observed a strong dependence of the sensing performance on the coupling state,and demonstrated that OC-Hμresonator has excellent sensing properties of ultra-sensitive(7.25%nm^(−1)),ultra-broadband(3–10μm),and immune asymmetric Fano *** characteristics represent a breakthrough in SEIRA technology and lay the foundation for specific recognition of biomolecules,trace detection,and protein secondary structure analysis using a single array(array size is 100×100μm^(2)).In addition,with the assistance of machine learning,mixture classification,concentration prediction and spectral reconstruction were achieved with the highest accuracy of 100%.Finally,we demonstrated the potential of OC-Hμresonator for SARS-CoV-2 *** findings will promote the wider application of SEIRA technology,while providing new ideas for other enhanced spectroscopy technologies,quantum photonics and studying light–matter interactions.

For space-based gravitational wave （GW） detection,the main noise source for massive black hole binaries （MBHBs） is attributed to approximately 10～7double white dwarf binaries in the *** a GW source,the amplitude of the detector response,recorded by a space-based gravitational wave detector,exhibits a modulation effect with a year period when observing the source from various orbital *** the adverse conditions mentioned above,where there is a strong foreground noise and annual modulation in the signals,we employed the wavelet transform and the strong-amplitude relevant orbital position search methods,which allows the weak MBHB sources to achieve higher locating *** detail,for two MBHB sources of lower intensity,the precision of luminosity distance,represented by the ratio ?DL/DLat the 95%confidence level,is enhanced by factors of ～*** angular resolutions,denoted by??s,are enhanced by a factor of ～*** improvements increase the number of detectable GW sources,facilitate multi-messenger follow-up observations and provide constraints on the cosmological constant.

Growth of BaTiO_3-Ag hybrid composite films at room temperature by aerosol deposition

Barium titanate (BaTiO3) and silver (Ag) composite film with high dielectric constant was grown at room temperature by an aerosol deposition *** dielectric constant increases by 0.5 times after adding Ag to the BaTiO3 matrix,compared with pure *** high dielectric constant can be attributed to the percolation effect of Ag inclusions in the BaTiO3 *** Ag was present in the form of discrete layer in the BaTiO3 *** dielectric properties of BaTiO3 Ag were discussed in detail taking into account the changes in microstructures.

Occipital artery bypass importance in unsuitable superficial temporal artery:Two case reports

BACKGROUND Superficial temporal artery-middle cerebral artery(STA-MCA)bypass helps treat cerebral ***,the STA is not available for bypass in some ***,with some technical tips,the authors introduced a bypass technique using the occipital artery(OA).CASE SUMMARY Two female patients complained of *** magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)indicated contralateral infarction from the MCA *** Diamox single photon emission computed tomography or perfusion MRI,the contralateral front parietotemporal reserve was *** transfemoral cerebral angiography,the STA was thin with a weak flow;however,the OA was *** OA-MCA end-to-side extracranial-intracranial bypass surgery was implemented instead of STA because the caliber was too *** postoperative course was uneventful in both cases,with well-maintained bypass patency and neurological stability during *** OA might be an acceptable alternative for MCA cerebral ischemic cases with an unsuitable STA.
