Outcome of Renal Transplantation at Ahmed Gasim Cardiac and Renal Transplant Centre in Sudan-2014

Background: Although not life-saving procedures like liver or heart transplantation, renal transplantation is the preferred treatment for many patients with end-stage renal disease because it improves patients’ quality of life, while other forms of renal replacement therapy (RRT) such as haemodialysis (HDX) shown to regain only 10% of the patient’s renal function [1]. Transplantation releases patients from the dietary and fluid restrictions and the physical constraints imposed by other forms of (RRT), patients become able to return to their normal activities. Patient’s 5-year survival is higher post transplant. Patients and methods: This is Descriptive, retro-prospective, cross sectional analytic and multicentre study done in Ahmed Gasim Cardiac and Renal Transplant Centre including 105 patients. After meeting the Inclusion Criteria and exclusion Criteria, then cases were selected and written in constructed questionnaire. The aim of the study was to evaluate the outcome of renal transplantation in Sudan. Results: 105 cases were used with male predominate and ratio male to female ratio 3:1, the main age of presentation between 31 - 45 years, most of the patients discharge uneventful with good outcome. During one-year follow-up following renal transplantation. Patient survival 95.2 % graft survival 82.4%. Overall morbidity shows 70.5%. Conclusion: this study showed that the one-year patient survival of 95.2%. Actuarial one-year graft survival of 92.4%. Renal transplantation complications can be reduced by meticulous preoperative workup including good cardiovascular assessment, tissue mismatch and BMI good postoperative follow up for early detection of graft rejection and long-term complications and finally patient education.

BACKGROUND The presence of dens invaginatus(DI)complicates treatment of any tooth,from diagnosis to access cavity and biomechanical preparation and *** of successful non-surgical management of DI type IIIB in maxillary lateral incisor are ***,we report such a case,with three root canals and a long *** SUMMARY A 13-year-old female patient presented with mild pain in the maxillary right lateral incisor(#7)for 10-15 *** examination,the tooth was slightly rotated,with slight tenderness on percussion and grade I mobility but with no caries,pockets or restorations and non-vital pulp(via vitality tests).Radiographic examination revealed unusual configuration of the tooth’s root canals,with an enamel-lined invagination extending to the apex,suggesting the possibility of DI Oehler’s type IIIB and a periapical *** the access cavity lingually revealed one distinct buccal orifice and two distinct palatal orifices;under higher magnification of a dental operating microscope(DOM),the mesio palatal and disto-palatal orifices were observed as connected by a C-shaped *** root canals were prepared with hand K-files following a step-back technique,and obturated using a combination technique of lateral condensation and vertical *** the 6-year follow-up,the patient was asymptomatic,and the periapical radiography displayed significant healing around the apical end of the *** Proper knowledge of unusual root canal anatomy is required in treating *** methods of root canal treatment can successfully resolve such complex cases,facilitated by DOM and cone-beam computed tomography.

Medulloblastoma(MB)is considered the commonest malignant brain tumor in *** treatments consisting of surgery,radiation,and chemotherapy have improved patients’***,the recurrence occurs in 30%of *** persistent mortality rates,the failure of current therapies to extend life expectancy,and the serious complications of non-targeted cytotoxic treatment indicate the need for more refined therapeutic *** MBs originating from the neurons of external granular layer line the outer surface of neocerebellum and responsible for the afferent and efferent ***,MBs have been segregated into four molecular subgroups:Wingless-activated(WNT-MB)(Group 1);Sonichedgehog-activated(SHH-MB)(Group 2);Group 3 and 4 *** molecular alterations follow specific gene mutations and disease-risk *** current treatment protocols and ongoing clinical trials against these molecular subgroups are still using common chemotherapeutic agents by which their efficacy have improved the progression-free survival but did not change the overall ***,the need to explore new therapies targeting specific receptors in MB microenvironment became *** immune microenvironment of MBs consists of distinctive cellular heterogeneities including immune cells and none-immune *** associate macrophage and tumour infiltrating lymphocyte are considered the main principal cells in tumour microenvironment,and their role are still under *** this review,we discuss the mechanism of interaction between MB cells and immune cells in the microenvironment,with an overview of the recent investigations and clinical trials.

Effect of nitrogen fertilization on yield, N content, and nitrogen fixation of alfalfa and smooth bromegrass grown alone or in mixture in greenhouse pots

Planting grass and legume mixtures on improved grasslands has the potential advantage of realizing both higher yields and lower environmental pollution by optimizing the balance between applied N fertilizer and the natural process of legume biological nitrogen fixation. However, the optimal level of N fertilization for grass-legume mixtures, to obtain the highest yield, quality, and contribution of N2 fixation, varies with species. A greenhouse pot experiment was conducted to study the temporal dynamics of N2 fixation of alfalfa （Medicago sativa L.） grown alone and in mixture with smooth bromegrass （Bromus inermis Leyss.） in response to the addition of fertilizer N. Three levels of N （0, 75, and 150 kg ha-1） were examined using 15N-labeled urea to evaluate N2 fixation via the 15N isotope dilution method. Treatments were designated NO （0.001 g per pot）, N75 （1.07 g per pot） and N150 （2.14 g per pot）. Alfalfa grown alone did not benefit from the addition of fertilizer N; dry matter was not significantly increased. In contrast, dry weight and N content of smooth bromegrass grown alone was increased significantly by N application. When grown as a mixture, smooth bromegrass biomass was increased significantly by N application, resulted in a decrease in alfalfa biomass. In addition, individual alfalfa plant dry weight （shoots＋roots） was significantly lower in the mixture than when grown alone at all N levels. Smooth bromegrass shoot and root dry weight were significantly higher when grown with alfalfa than when grown alone, regardless of N application level. When grown alone, alfalfa＇s N2 fixation was reduced with N fertilization （R2=0.9376,P=0.0057）. When grown in a mixture with smooth bromegrass, with 75 kg ha-1 of N fertilizer, the percentage of atmospheric N2 fixation contribution to total N in alfalfa （%Ndfa） had a maximum of 84.07 and 83.05% in the 2nd and 3rd harvests, respectively. Ecological Zones Degradation Analysis in Central Sudan during a Half Century Using Remote Sensing and GIS

Since the last assessment of ecological zones of Sudan conducted in 1958 by Harrison and Jackson, the vegetation types, cover, and its distribution have undergone remarkable changes;this change occurs in most of the predominant ecological zones, particularly those which are currently affected by environmental degradation and desertification due to climate change impact on vegetation cover and rainfall amounts and its distribution. In addition, during the last five decades, Sudan has suffered from environmental devastating changes that have undermined food security, which is strongly linked to human displacement and related conflicts. In this study, SPOTVEG NDVI data acquired between 2000 and 2010 were used to produce a vegetation cover map, which was integrated with rainfall map to produce updated ecological zones map for the study area in 2010. This map was compared to that produced in 1958 to analyze the change during the last five decades. The obtained results showed drastic change concerning different ecological zones. The desert class increased by 11%. The Semi-Desert class decreased by approximately 13.2%. The woodland savannah class increased by 6.8%. While, the Mountain vegetation areas decreased approximately by 3%. Finally, the wetland areas completely disappeared in 2010. These results show that during the period 1958-2010, climate change impact increased desertification process, destroyed ecological zones, especially wetland, as well the ecosystems diversity in Central Sudan.

随着中国的发展,中国跟阿拉伯国家的合作越来越多,中国和阿拉伯国家在经济、文化等方面的交流越来越频繁。为了能够加强两国的良好关系,不少阿拉伯的学习者开始接触并学习汉语,学习者对词典的使用需求自然而然地会增加,对词典的要求也会提高。随着技术的发展,出现了新款词典“手机词典”。手机词典成为目前最受外语学习者欢迎的一种词典,它是下载到智能手机里的词典,包括学汉语用的词典,手机汉语词典是目前最符合阿拉伯语学习者使用需求的汉语词典。本论文主要研究现在阿拉伯国家大学生对手机汉语词典的认知态度、选择因素、使用情况及使用需求,提出汉阿手机词典存在的问题,并对汉阿手机词典给出合理的改良建议。本文共分为五章。第一章绪论,介绍选题的背景、研究现状、研究目的及意义、研究内容及方法。第二章主要内容为阿拉伯学生学汉阿手机APP词典使用及需求调查研究,通过调查问卷进行数据分析。三章则主要分析阿拉伯学生最常用的汉阿手机APP词典,浅论目前阿拉伯学生汉阿词典使用的手机APP的基本情况以及存在的问题。第四章汉阿手机APP词典编写设想和建议,根据第二章的调查结果,总结出可以满足与符合阿拉伯学生需求的手机汉语词典特征。并给出对阿拉伯学生汉阿手机词典的改良建议。第五章结语,对本文研究进行总结,提出本文的创新点与不足。

1 引言目前常见的过流继电器属机械型或固态型.机械继电器需定期维护和校准,而固态继电器容易遭受噪声干扰.这些继电器体积大,安装后缺乏灵活性.曾有人使用一种专用的微处理器来实现继电器的控制功能.AI-Nema 等提出一种专用各自独立的微处理器,实现每个过流继电器的功能.Manzoul 提出了用一种专用微处理器,实现4个继电器的控制功能.在这些方法中。微处理器是依靠其它的外设实现记忆和 I/O 操作,并不向操作者提供有关继电器系统条件的信息.此外,在上述几种方法中,没有一种方法能提供实现数百个过流继电器。并由中央控制室对它们进行监测和控制.
