Major and trace elements and Sr-Nd-Pb isotope data are reported for Cretaceous mafic dikes from the Jiaodong Peninsula, eastern *** dikes range from medium-K and high-K calc-alkaline to shoshonitic or ultrapotassic rocks,which are characterized by high MgO(Mg=71-53) and Cr(177-1012 ppm) and low TiO(0.55-0.90 wt.%),total FeO(5.12-9.48 wt.%) and CaO(4.99-9.94 wt.%).Overall,they are enriched in the large ion lithophile elements(LILE,e.g.,Rb,Ba,Sr) and light rare earth elements(LREE),depleted in the high field strength elements(HFSE,e.g.,Nb,Ti,P),and possess uniform initial Sr/Sr(0.7094-0.7114) but relatively wide ranges of Nd[ε(T)=-10.1--17.0]and Pb(Pb/Pb=16.75- 18.03) isotopic ratios,implying a magma origin from enriched but heterogeneous mantle *** geochemical and isotopic characteristics can be explained by the vein-plus-peridotite melting model,with amphibole- or phlogopite-bearing pyroxenite veins that reside in refractory lithospheric mantle beneath the North China *** a vein-enriched mantle source formed by multiple metasomatic events,which we infer to have resulted from subduction-related processes that may have occurred in the Late Archean and *** mafic dikes constitute a member of the widespread Mesozoic magmas emplaced in the North China Block as a result of regional lithospheric extension.

Alkane C-H bond activation by various catalysts and enzymes has attracted considerable attention recently but many issues are still *** conversion of ethane to ethanol and ethene by bare [Fe III =O] + has been explored using density functional theory and coupled-cluster method *** possible reaction mechanisms are available for the entire reaction,the direct H abstract mechanism and the concerted ***,in the direct H abstract mechanism,a direct H abstraction is encountered in the initial step,going through a collinear transition state C H O-Fe and then leads to the generation of an intermediate Fe-OH bounded to alkyl radical *** final product of the direct H abstract mechanism is ethanol which is produced by the hydroxyl group back transfer to the carbon ***,in the concerted reaction mechanism,the H abstraction process is characterized via overcoming a four/five-centered transition states 6/4 TSH5 or 4 *** second step of the concerted mechanism can lead either to product ethanol or ***,the major product ethene can be obtained through two different pathways,the one step pathway and the stepwise *** is the first report that the former pathway starting from 6/4 IM to product can be better described as a proton coupled electron transfer(PCET).It plays important role in the product ethene generation according to the CCSD(T) *** spin-orbital coupling(SOC) calculations demonstrate that the title reaction should proceed via two-state reactivity(TSR) pattern that the spin-forbidden transition could slightly lower the rate-determining energy barrier *** thorough theoretical study,especially the explicit electronic structure analysis,may provide important clues for understanding and studying the C-H bond activation promoted by iron-based artificial catalysts.

A detailed theoretical study is performed at the B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) and G3B3(single-point) levels as an attempt to understanding the reaction mechanism of CH with *** the doublet potential energy surface,the carbenoid insertion of CH to the C=C bond or the C-H(-CH) bond of CH can produce the three-membered ring isomer 1 CH-cCHCHCH,and the chainlike isomer 4 CHCHCHCH,which can take subsequent isomerization and dissociation steps lead to various *** the products,P(cis-CHCHCHCH+H) and P (trans-CHCHCHCH+H) may be the most favorable products with comparable yields,P (CH-cCHCHCH+H),P(cCHCHCH+CH),and P(CH-cCCHCH+H) may be the much less competitive products,followed by the least feasible products P(CHCCH+CH) and P (CHCCCH+H).Other products may have undetected *** the intermediates and transitions involved in CH+CH reaction all lie lower than the reactant,the title reaction is expected to be fast,which is consistent with the measured large rate constant in *** present paper may be helpful to understanding the mechanism of CH towards other unsaturated hydrocarbons.

Clinical and pathological correlation of the microdeletion of Y chromosome for the 30 patients with azoospermia and severe oligoasthenospermia

Aim: To review the accumulated 30 patients with different area of Y chromosome microdeletions, focusing on their correlation with the clinical and pathological findings. Methods: A total of 334 consecutive infertile men with azoospermia (218 patients) and severe oligoasthenospermia (116 patients) were screened. Complete physical and endocrinological examinations, general chromosome study and multiplex polymerase chain reaction assay to evaluate the Y chromosome microdeletion were performed. Ten patients received testicular biopsy. Then the clinical and pathological findings were analyzed with reference to the areas of Y chromosome microdeletion. Results: There is a decline of the percentage of sperm appearing in semen in the group that the gene deletion region from AZFc to AZFb. The clinical evidence of the impairment (decreased testicular size and elevated serum FSH) is also relevantly aggravated in this group. However, the pathology of testicular biopsy specimen was poorly correlated with the different deletion areas of the Y chromosome, which may be due to the limited number of specimens. Conclusion: The clinical correlation of spermatogenic impairment to the different AZF deletion regions may provide the information for the infertile couples in pre-treatment counseling.

Background:Benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)is a common condition in middle-aged and elderly *** of the prostate causes lower urinary tract *** is a phytochemical extracted from chili peppers and exerts many pharmacological actions,such as anti-tumor and anti-inflammatory ***:Our study investigated the effect of capsaicin in vitro and in a mouse model in vivo.A prostatic stromal myofibroblast cell line(WPMY-1)was co-incubated with testosterone(1µM)and different concentrations of capsaicin(10–100µM)for 24 and 48 ***(10–100µM)significantly inhibited testosterone-treated WPMY-1 cell growth at 48 h by MTT *** testosterone propionate(7.5 mg/kg)-induced BPH mouse model was used to examine the anti-proliferative effect of *** with capsaicin(10 mg/kg)for 14 days significantly attenuated prostatic *** was used as a positive ***:Capsaicin significantly decreased prostate weight and prostate index(prostate/body weight ratio)in BPH *** expression of 5α-reductase type II,androgen receptor(AR)and prostate specific antigen(PSA)protein expression and PSA serum were all significantly reduced in capsaicin-treated BPH *** addition,capsaicin also activated transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 mediated apoptosis and autophagy in BPH ***:These results demonstrate multiple positive effects of capsaicin in controlling prostate growth and suggest its therapeutic potential in the treatment of BPH.

It is thought that there are many unregulated anthropogenic chemicals in the *** risk assessment of chemicals, it is essential to estimate the predicted environmental concentrations. As an effort of identifying residual organic contaminants in air and water in Korea, nontarget screening using two-dimensional gas chromatography time-of-flight mass spectrometry（GC × GC-TOFMS） was conducted at 10 sites using polyurethane foam passive air sampler and at 6 sites using polydimethyl siloxane（PDMS） passive water sampler in three different seasons in 2014. More than 600 chemical peaks were identified satisfying the identification criteria in air and water samples, respectively, providing a list for further investigation. Chemical substances with reported national emission rates in2014（n = 149） were also screened for potential existence in the environment using a level Ⅱ fugacity model. Most of chemical substances classified as not detectable were not identified with detection frequency greater than 20% by nontarget screening, indicating that a simple equilibrium model has a strong potential to be used to exclude chemicals that are not likely to remain in the environment after emissions from targeted monitoring.

Most heavy crude oils underwent biodegradation and generated a significant amount of naphthenic acids. Naphthenic acids are polar compounds with the carboxylic group and are considered as a major factor affecting the oil viscosity. However, the relationship between the molecular composition of naphthenic acids and oil viscosity is not well understood. This study examined a “clean” heavy oil with low contents of heteroatoms but had a high content of naphthenic acids. Naphthenic acids were fractionated by distillation and caustic extraction. The molecular composition was characterized by high-resolution Orbitrap mass spectrometry. It was found that the 2- and 3-ring naphthenic monoacids with 15–35 carbon atoms are dominant components of the acid fractions;the caustic extraction is capable of isolating naphthenic acids with less than 35 carbons, which is equivalent to the upper limit of the distillable components, but not those in the residue fraction;the total acid number of the heavy distillates is higher than that of the residue fraction;the viscosity of the distillation fraction increases exponentially with an increased boiling point of the distillates. Blending experiments indicates that there is a strong correlation between the oil viscosity and acids content, although the acid content is only a few percent of the total oil.

Duodenal perforations caused by biliary prostheses are not uncommon, and they are potentially life threatening and require immediate treatment. We describe an unusual case of aortic aneurysm and rupture which occurred after retroperitoneal aortoduodenal fistula formation as a rare complication caused by biliary metallic stent-related duodenal perforation. To our knowledge, this is the first report describing a lethal complication of a bleeding, aortoduodenal fistula and caused by biliary metallic stent-induced perforation.

The rendezvous procedure combines an endoscopic technique with percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage(PTBD).When a selective common bile duct cannulation fails,PTBD allows successful drainage and retrograde access for subsequent rendezvous ***,rendezvous procedures such as the PTBDassisted over-the-wire cannulation method,or the parallel cannulation technique,may be available when a bile duct cannot be selectively *** selective intrahepatic bile duct(IHD) cannulation fails,this modified rendezvous technique may be a feasible *** report the case of a modified rendezvous technique,in which the guidewire was retrogradely passed into the IHD through the C2 catheter after end-to-end contact between the tips of the sphincterotome and the C2 catheter at the ampulla's orifice,in a 39-year-old man who had been diagnosed with gallbladder carcinoma with a metastatic right IHD *** this procedure may be a feasible and timesaving technique.
