Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)is a‘highly transmissible respiratory pathogen,leading to severe multiorgan ***,knowledge regarding SARS-CoV-2-induced cellular alterations is *** this study,we report that SARSCoV-2 aberrantly elevates mitochondrial bioenergetics and activates the EGFR-mediated cell survival signal cascade during the early stage of viral ***-CoV-2 causes an increase in mitochondrial transmembrane potential via the SARS-CoV-2 RNAnucleocapsid cluster,thereby abnormally promoting mitochondrial elongation and the OXPHOS process,followed by enhancing ATP ***,SARS-CoV-2 activates the EGFR signal cascade and subsequently induces mitochondrial EGFR trafficking,contributing to abnormal OXPHOS process and viral *** EGFR inhibitors remarkably reduce SARS-CoV-2 propagation,among which vandetanib exhibits the highest antiviral *** of SARS-CoV-2-infected cells with vandetanib decreases SARS-CoV-2-induced EGFR trafficking to the mitochondria and restores SARS-CoV-2-induced aberrant elevation in OXPHOS process and ATP generation,thereby resulting in the reduction of SARS-CoV-2 ***,oral administration of vandetanib to SARS-CoV-2-infected hACE2 transgenic mice reduces SARS-CoV-2 propagation in lung tissue and mitigates SARS-CoV-2-induced lung *** also exhibits potent antiviral activity against various SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern,including alpha,beta,delta and omicron,in in vitro cell culture *** together,our findings provide novel insight into SARS-CoV-2-induced alterations in mitochondrial dynamics and EGFR trafficking during the early stage of viral infection and their roles in robust SARS-CoV-2 propagation,suggesting that EGFR is an attractive host target for combating COVID-19.

The Jenkyns Event, more widely known as the Toarcian Oceanic Anoxic Event(T-OAE), is marked by globally distributed negative carbon-isotope excursions, widespread oxygen depletion, and large-scale organic carbon burial, which indicate major climate/environmental perturbations in Earth's surface systems during the Early Jurassic. Although extensive research has been conducted in European continental settings, particularly in the western peri-Tethys regions, the impacts of this event beyond Europe remains largely unexplored. Here, a multiapproach study including investigations into the sporepollen assemblages, pyrite framboids, clay minerals, total organic carbon(TOC) levels, and organic carbon isotope(δ13Corg) levels in a lacustrine borehole section(MED1) from the yin'gen–Ejinaqi Basin, North China, provides evidence of the occurrence of the Jenkyns Event and its extensive sedimentary responses in the eastern Tethys terrestrial systems. Two distinct spore-pollen assemblages have been identified in MED1(drilling depth: 982.4 m to 1267.5 m), with the Cycadopites–Protopinus–Osmundacidites assemblage in the lower part(1267.5 m to 1132.9 m) indicating a middle Early Jurassic age and the Classopollis assemblage in the upper part(1132.9 m to 985.7 m) suggesting a Toarcian age. Framboidal pyrite data suggest more anoxic conditions during the deposition of black mudstone and shale intercalations in the lower part of the Classopollis assemblage(1132.9 m to 1066.9 m), which combined with organic carbon enrichment and negative δ13Corg excursions, are considered the paleoenvironmental response to the Jenkyns Event in the study area. Furthermore, the evolution of vegetation groups changed from plant groups characterized by bisaccate and cycad pollen, as well as fern spores, to vegetation groups represented by Cheirolepidiaceae pollen across the Jenkyns Event, as evidenced by sporepollen data, together with the clay mineral assemblage change characterized by a notable increase in i

The subversive nature of information war lies not only in the information itself, but also in the circulation and application of information. It has always been a challenge to quantitatively analyze the function and effect of information flow through command, control, communications, computer, kill, intelligence,surveillance, reconnaissance (C4KISR) system. In this work, we propose a framework of force of information influence and the methods for calculating the force of information influence between C4KISR nodes of sensing, intelligence processing,decision making and fire attack. Specifically, the basic concept of force of information influence between nodes in C4KISR system is formally proposed and its mathematical definition is provided. Then, based on the information entropy theory, the model of force of information influence between C4KISR system nodes is constructed. Finally, the simulation experiments have been performed under an air defense and attack scenario. The experimental results show that, with the proposed force of information influence framework, we can effectively evaluate the contribution of information circulation through different C4KISR system nodes to the corresponding tasks. Our framework of force of information influence can also serve as an effective tool for the design and dynamic reconfiguration of C4KISR system architecture.

Geckos can efficiently navigate complex terrains due to their multi-level adhesive system that is present on their *** setae are responsible for the gecko’s extraordinary adhesion and have garnered wide attention from the scientific *** majority of the reported works in the literature that have dealt with the peeling models mainly focus on the gecko hierarchical adhesive system,with limited attention given to investigating the influence of gecko toe structure on the *** these lines,to gain a deeper understanding of the rapid and effortless detachment abilities of gecko toes,the peeling behavior of gecko toes on vertical surfaces was primarily investigated in this *** specifically,the detachment time of a single toe on a smooth acrylic plate was measured to be 0.41±0.21 ***,it was observed that the toe assumed a"U"-shaped structure upon complete ***,Finite Element Analysis(FEA)models for three different types of gecko toes were developed to simulate both the displacement-peel and the moment-peel *** the segmentation of the adhesive layer led to a gradual decrease in the resultant force,as well as the normal and tangential ***,a gecko-inspired toe model was constructed and powered by Shape Memory Alloy(SMA).A systematic comparison between the vertical drag separation and the outward flip separation was also *** our analysis,it was clearly demonstrated that outward peel separation significantly necessitated the reduction of the peeling force,thus confirming the advantageous nature of the outward motion in gecko toe *** data not only contribute to a deeper understanding of the gecko detachment behavior but also offer valuable insights for the advancement of the wall-climbing robot feet.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the extent of vascular endothelial dysfunction and preliminary identify serum protein biomarkers associated with obese individuals at risk for cardiovascular disease(CVD).METHODS:Fifteen obese volunteers with the phlegmdampness constitution or balanced constitution were recruited for this study *** clinical baseline data was collected,and the vascular endothelial function was evaluated using the EndoPAT?.Blood samples were collected for the serum proteome *** differences in the serum protein expression levels between the two groups were detected and the protein interaction network analysis,correlation analysis,receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis,and random forest model investigation were ***:There were no statistical differences found in the baseline *** vascular endothelial function,the reactive hyperemia index(RHI)of the phlegm-dampness constitution obese group was significantly lower than that of the balanced constitution obese group(1.46±0.30 vs 2.82±0.78,P<0.0001),indicating vascular endothelial *** are 66 differentially expressed serum proteins between the two *** A2(Apo A2),angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE-2),interleukin-33(IL-33),and forkhead box P3(FoxP3)showed significant differences and area under curve values of their ROC curves were greater than 0.7 and correlated significantly with ***:Vascular endothelial dysfunction was present in the phlegm-dampness constitution obese ***,alterations in the expression levels of key serum proteins,including Apo A2,ACE-2,IL-33,and Fox P3 could serve as potential biomarkers in the obese population at risk of CVD.
