Objective:Evidence-based practices(EBPs)have been taught to students by identifying the best evidence/evidence from research ***,the experiences of Indonesian nurse preceptors in helping students implement research findings have not been explored *** study aimed to explore Indonesian nurse preceptors in guiding nursing students to use research ***:This study used interpretive phenomenology analysis that involves 9 nurse preceptors from hospitals in West Kalimantan,***-structured in-depth interviews were recorded and then transcribed ***:Three themes were generated during the analysis:“types of student supervision,”“issues during supervision,”and“the need for research literacy and supervision.”Conclusions:Nurse preceptors need support to supervise the nursing students to use research *** addition to upgrading nursing skills,nurse preceptors must receive training in research and its *** an appropriate strategy to assist students in using research findings will enhance the promotion of evidence-based nursing practices on a daily basis.

ed data from the National(Nationwide)Inpatient Sample over a 20-year period from 2001 to 2020 using specific ICD-9 and ICD-10 *** included patients aged≥60 and≤80 years with races recorded as White,African American,or Hispanic at the time of their hospitalization for *** analyzed and reported the baseline characteristics,risk-adjusted in-mortality,and complications stratified by *** Results Of 420,181 patients studied,90.0%identified as White,4.0%as African American and 6.0%as *** a de-crease in overall in-hospital mortality rates from 3.8%between 2001-2005 to 1.8%between 2016-2020,African Americans had higher odds of all-cause in-hospital deaths compared to Whites(aOR=1.390,P<0.001).Additionally,they were more likely to experi-ence cardiogenic shock(aOR=1.241,P<0.001)and acute kidney injury(aOR=1.314,P<0.001)as well as more likely to require organ support such as IABP use(aOR=1.336,P<0.001)or invasive mechanical ventilation(aOR=1.342,P<0.001).Interestingly,Americans were less likely to report events of acute ischemic stroke compared to Whites(aOR=0.852,P<0.001).African Conclusions Despite a reassuring reduction in overall in-hospital mortality rates of geriatric patients undergoing SAVR for aor-tic stenosis,racial disparities in health outcomes remain pervasive with minorities more likely to report higher in-hospital mor-bidity and mortality.

Objective:The purpose of the study was to evaluate listening effort in adults who experience varied annoyance towards *** and methods:Fifty native Kannada-speaking adults aged 41e68 years *** evaluated the participant's acceptable noise level while listening to ***,a sentence-final wordidentification and recall test at 0 dB SNR(less favorable condition)and 4 dB SNR(relatively favorable condition)was used to assess listening *** repeat and recall scores were obtained for each ***:The regression model revealed that the listening effort increased by 0.6%at 0 dB SNR and by 0.5%at 4 dB SNR with every one-year advancement in *** effort increased by 0.9%at 0 dB SNR and by 0.7%at 4 dB SNR with every one dB change in the value of Acceptable Noise Level(ANL).At 0 dB SNR and 4 dB SNR,a moderate and mild negative correlation was noted respectively between listening effort and annoyance towards noise when the factor age was ***:Listening effort increases with age,and its effect is more in less favorable than in relatively favorable ***,if the annoyance towards noise was controlled,the impact of age on listening effort was *** effort correlated with the level of annoyance once the age effect was ***,the listening effort was predicted from the ANL to a moderate degree.

Background:Lymphatic filariasis(LF)remains one of the world’s most debilitating parasitic infections and is a major contributor to poor health in many endemic *** provision of continuing care for all those affected by LF and its consequences is an important component of the United Nations’Sustainable Development *** aim of this study is to integrate lymphedema care into the primary health care system of the State by developing lymphedema clinics at each district,through training of health personnel to fulfill WHO recommendation for morbidity management and disability ***:Selected health care providers from all the districts in Kerala State of India participated in intensive training sessions endorsed by the State’s health *** six training sessions(from 5 June 2017 to 25 May 2018)included appropriate self-care information and development of individual plans for each participating institution to provide instruction and care for their lymphoedema *** learning achieved by attendees was assessed by pre-and post-training *** number of lymphoedema patients receiving care and instruction from the post-training activities of each participating institution was assessed from local records,6 months after the conclusion of the training ***:One hundred and eighty-four medical personnel(91 doctors and 93 nurses)from 82 medical institutions were trained which quickly led to the establishment of active lymphoedema clinics providing the essential package of care(EPC)for lymphoedema patients at all the participating *** months after the training sessions the number of previously unidentified lymphoedema patients registered and receiving care at these clinics ranged from 296 to almost 400 per clinic,with a total of 3,477 new patients receiving training in ***:Generalist health personnel,when appropriately trained,can provide quality lymphoedema care in public health settings and patients

Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access(WiMAX)trusts Multiple Input Multiple Output-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(MIMO-OFDM)combination for the deployment of physical layer functions and for connecting the medium access control to the wireless *** though Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(OFDM)facilitates reliable digital broadband transmission in the fading wireless channels,the presence of synchro-nization errors in the form of Carrier Frequency Offset(CFO)and Time Offset(TO)adversely affect the performance of OFDM based physical *** objective of this work is to improve the accuracy of the frequency and the time offset estimation in the WiMAX physical layer.A method to enhance the synchro-nization accuracy byﬁne-tuning the merit factor of the preamble sequence is sug-gested in this ***,a new preamble with improved synchronization accuracy is proposed for the WiMAX *** performance of the proposed preamble is evaluated in a Rayleigh fading channel and the results of simulations show that the Mean Square Error(MSE)in offset estimation is signiﬁcantly reduced and it outperforms the standard WiMAX preamble.

Peer-to-Peer(P2P)electricity trading is a significant research area that offers maximum fulfilment for both prosumer and *** also decreases the quantity of line loss incurred in Smart Grid(SG).But,uncertainities in demand and supply of the electricity might lead to instability in P2P market for both prosumer and *** recent times,numerous Machine Learning(ML)-enabled load predictive techniques have been developed,while most of the existing studies did not consider its implicit features,optimal parameter selection,and prediction *** order to overcome fulfill this research gap,the current research paper presents a new Multi-Objective Grasshopper Optimisation Algorithm(MOGOA)with Deep Extreme Learning Machine(DELM)-based short-term load predictive technique i.e.,MOGOA-DELM model for P2P Energy Trading(ET)in *** proposed MOGOA-DELM model involves four distinct stages of operations namely,data cleaning,Feature Selection(FS),prediction,and parameter *** addition,MOGOA-based FS technique is utilized in the selection of optimum subset of ***,DELM-based predictive model is also applied in forecasting the load *** proposed MOGOA model is also applied in FS and the selection of optimalDELM parameters to improve the predictive *** inspect the effectual outcome of the proposed MOGOA-DELM model,a series of simulations was performed using UK Smart Meter *** the experimentation procedure,the proposed model achieved the highest accuracy of 85.80%and the results established the superiority of the proposed model in predicting the testing data.

Wireless sensor network(WSN)is an emerging technology which find useful in several application areas such as healthcare,environmentalmonitoring,border surveillance,*** issues that exist in the designing of WSN are node localization,coverage,energy efficiency,security,and so *** spite of the issues,node localization is considered an important issue,which intends to calculate the coordinate points of unknown nodes with the assistance of *** efficiency of the WSN can be considerably influenced by the node localization ***,this paper presents a modified search and rescue optimization based node localization technique(MSRONLT)*** major aim of theMSRO-NLT technique is to determine the positioning of the unknown nodes in *** the traditional search and rescue optimization(SRO)algorithm suffers from the local optima problemwith an increase in number of iterations,MSRO algorithm is developed by the incorporation of chaotic maps to improvise the diversity of the *** application of the concept of chaotic map to the characteristics of the traditional SRO algorithm helps to achieve better exploration ability of the MSRO *** order to validate the effective node localization performance of the MSRO-NLT algorithm,a set of simulations were performed to highlight the supremacy of the presented model.A detailed comparative results analysis showcased the betterment of the MSRO-NLT technique over the other compared methods in terms of different measures.

Repaglinide (RPG) regulates the amount of glucose by stimulating the pancreas to release insulin in the blood. In view of its biological importance, we have examined the interaction between RPG and a model protein, bovine serum albumin (BSA) employing various spectroscopic, electrochemical and molecular docking methods. Fluorescence spectra of BSA were recorded in the presence and absence of RPG in phosphate buffer of pH 7.4. Fluorescence intensity of BSA was decreased upon the addition of increased concentrations of RPG, indicating the interaction between RPG and BSA. Stern-Volmer quenching analysis results revealed that RPG quenched the intensity of BSA through dynamic quenching mechanism. This was further confirmed from the time-resolved fluorescence measurements. The binding constant as calculated from the spectroscopic and voltammetric results was observed to be in the order of 104M-1 at 298 K, suggesting the moderate binding affinity between RPG and BSA. Competitive experimental results revealed that the primary binding site for RPG on BSA was site II. Absorption and circular dichroism studies indicated the changes in the secondary structure of BSA upon its interaction with RPG. Molecular simulation studies pointed out that RPG was bound to BSA in the hydrophobic pocket of site II.

One of the significant health issues affecting women that impacts their fertility and results in serious health concerns is Polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS).Consequently,timely screening of polycystic ovarian syndrome can help in the process of *** a method to aid doctors in this procedure was crucial due to the difficulties in detecting this *** research aimed to determine whether it is possible to optimize the detection of PCOS utilizing Deep Learning algorithms and ***,feature selection methods that produce the most important subset of features can speed up calculation and enhance the effectiveness of *** this research,the tri-stage wrapper method is used because it reduces the computation *** proposed study for the Automatic diagnosis of PCOS contains preprocessing,data normalization,feature selection,and classification.A dataset with 39 characteristics,including metabolism,neuroimaging,hormones,and biochemical information for 541 subjects,was employed in this *** start,this research pre-processed the *** for feature selection,a tri-stage wrapper method such as Mutual Information,ReliefF,Chi-Square,and Xvariance is ***,various classification methods are tested and *** learning techniques including convolutional neural network(CNN),multi-layer perceptron(MLP),Recurrent neural network(RNN),and Bi long short-term memory(Bi-LSTM)are utilized for *** experimental finding demonstrates that with effective feature extraction process using tri stage wrapper method+CNN delivers the highest precision(97%),high accuracy(98.67%),and recall(89%)when compared with other machine learning algorithms.
