Effect of high shear homogenization on quality characteristics of bael fruit pulp

Response surface methodology was used to investigate the influence of high shear homogenization speed(A:3000-12000 r/min)and processing time(B:30-120 min)on bael fruit pulp quality *** experimental results were best fitted in the suggested quadratic model to delineate and envision the responses in terms of color(values of L^(*),meaning brightness to blackness,1oo-0;a^(*),meaning green-a^(*)to red+a^(*);and b^(*),meaning blue-b^(*)to yellow+b),total soluble solids,ascorbic acid,viscosity,andβ-carotene content with the highest coefficients of determination(R2)ranging from 0.80 to ***(Ph.nge in the L^(*)value,total soluble solids,ascorbic acid,andβ-carotene content was found with ch.nge in homogenization *** interaction effect of homogenization showed a significant difference in a^(*)value and total soluble solid content of the *** best homogenization conditions were determined via multiple response optimization as 10682 r/min speed and 43.18 min process *** quality parameters of the pulp at optimized conditions were observed as L^(*)15.35,a^(*)4.51,b^(*)10.25,ascorbic acid 18.64 mg/100 g,viscosity 5349 cP,andβ-carotene 4.14μg/100 *** addition,total phenolic content,flavonoid content,and antioxidant content of homogenized bael fruit pulp was found to significantly(Phis strategy could be used in fruit processing industries to process highly fibrous fruits and nonuniform-textured fruit pulptoavoid sedimentation whileretaining functionality.

In semi-arid regions,air temperatures have increased in the last decades more than in many other parts of the *** has an arid/semi-arid climate and much of the population are herders whose livelihoods depend upon limited water resources that fluctuate with a variable *** were surveyed to identify their observations of ch.nges in climate extremes for two soums of central Mongolia,Ikh-Tamir in the forest steppe north of the Kh.ngai Mountains and Jinst in the desert steppe south of the *** herders’indigenous knowledge of ch.nges in climate extremes mostly aligned with the station-based analyses of *** were warming with more warm days and nights at all *** were fewer cool days and nights observed at the mountain stations both in the summer and winter,yet more cool days and nights were observed in the winter at the desert steppe *** number of summer days is increasing while the number of frost days is decreasing at all *** results of this study support further use of local knowledge and meteorological observations to provide more holistic analysis of climate ch.nge in different regions of the world.

Imaginary Time Density Functional Calculation of Ground States of Atoms Using CWDVR Approach

The self-consistent Kohn-Sham equations for many-electron atoms are solved using the Coulomb wave function Discrete Variable Method (CWDVR). Wigner type functional is used to incorporate correlation functional. The discrete variable method is used for the uniform and optimal spatial grid discretization and solution of the Kohn-Sham equation. The equation is numerically solved using the CWDVR method. First time we have reported the solution of the Kohn-Sham equation on the ground state problem for the many-electronic atoms by the CWDVR method. Our results suggest CWDVR approach shown to be an efficient and precise solution of ground-state energies of atoms. We illustrate that the calculated electronic energies for he, Li, Be, B, C, N and O atoms are in good agreement with other best available values.
