The Cuddapah Basin in southern India has a potential for uranium mineralization due to some favorable factors such as its temporal, stratigraphic and tectonic settings. Systematic exploration program conducted by the Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research (AMD) within the Cuddapah Basin resulting in the recognition of distinct types of uranium mineralization, viz., strata bound type, fracture/shear-controlled type and tabular type. The Gulcheru Formation which is the lowermost unit of the Cuddapah Basin is dominantly arenitic in nature. During the exploration works, a number of uranium anomalies were identified with dimensions ranging from 1 m to 1.5 km. Gulcheru quartzite hosted uranium mineralization is intermittent and inconsistent in nature. The anomalous outcrops are distributed over a strike length of ca. 60 km between Gandi in the SE and Ambakapallein the NW. Presently, two different types of uranium mineralization are characterized on the basis of field observations, mapping and structural interpretation, petro-mineralogy and geochemistry. Although the host rock is same for both types, the mechanism of uranium enrichment is totally different. The Ambakapalle uranium mineralization is controlled by fault zone and associated hydrothermal activity. Whereas, the Tummalapalle uranium mineralization is litho-controlled in nature influenced by suitable four ‘P’ factors, i.e., provenance, porositypermeability, precipitation and preservation. The geochemical characterization of Gulcheru quartzite suggest a passive margin type of provenance setting. Petro-mineralogically the quartz arenite suggests enough textural as well as mineralogical maturity. Ambakapalle quartzite is slightly strained and deformed due to faulting. Analysis of selected samples recorded 0.01% to 0.048% U3O8 and <0.01% ThO2. Algal blooms,the spread of algae on the surface of water bodies,have adverse effects not only on aquatic ecosystems but also on human *** adverse effects of harmful algal blooms(HABs)necessitate a convenient solution for detection and *** aerial vehicles(UAVs)have recently emerged as a tool for algal bloom detection,efficiently providing on-demand images at high spatiotemporal *** study developed an image processing method for algal bloom area estimation from the aerial images(obtained from the internet)captured using *** a remote sensing method of HAB detection,analysis,and monitoring,a combination of histogram and texture analyses was used to efficiently estimate the area of *** features like entropy(using the Kullback-Leibler method)were emphasized with the aid of a gray-level co-occurrence *** results showed that the orthogonal images demonstrated fewer errors,and the morphological filter best detected algal blooms in real time,with a precision of 80%.This study provided efficient image processing approaches using on-board UAVs for HAB monitoring.

背景:铁超载是指体内铁积累过多的情况,可引起各种组织的病理改变。目前,对于骨关节炎中铁超载相关的分子机制和潜在基因靶点,仍有待进一步的研究和探索。目的:通过生物信息学手段分析骨关节炎铁超载关键基因,并利用动物实验加以验证,以期为铁超载角度防治骨关节炎提供新的思路。方法:使用GEO数据库和GeneCards数据库筛选出与骨关节炎相关的基因和铁超载相关的基因。然后,取两者的交集,得到骨关节炎和铁超载共同相关的基因集合。采用GO和KEGG富集分析筛选这些基因的功能和通路。为了进一步研究这些基因之间的相互作用,构建PPI网络,并利用Cytoscape软件的5种计算方法来识别骨关节炎铁超载的关键基因(Hub基因)。将12只雄性SD大鼠分为骨关节炎组与对照组(正常大鼠),每组6只,骨关节炎组大鼠采用改良Hulth方法建立膝骨关节炎模型,并使用PCR检测Hub基因在两组大鼠膝关节组织中的表达情况。结果与结论:①共获得51个骨关节炎铁超载基因,GO富集分析表明其主要参与细胞因子受体结合、趋化因子受体结合、细胞因子活性、生长因子受体结合及寡糖结合等过程;②KEGG富集分析表明骨关节炎铁超载基因主要参与肿瘤坏死因子信号通路、脂质和动脉粥样硬化等信号通路;③构建蛋白质-蛋白质相互作用网络,进一步分析获得细胞间黏附分子1(intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1,ICAM-1)、肿瘤坏死因子配体超家族成员11(tumor necrosis factor superfamily member 11,TNFSF11)、骨髓瘤细胞癌基因(myelocytomatosis oncogene,MYC)、Janus激酶2(janus kinase 2,JAK2)及白细胞介素6,5个骨关节炎铁超载Hub基因,动物实验证实其在对照组与骨关节炎组大鼠膝关节组织中的表达有显著差异(P<0.05);④结果显示,ICAM-1,TNFSF11,MYC,JAK2及白细胞介素6可作为骨关节炎铁超载的关键基因,有望成为防治骨关节炎的新靶点。

Cosmological parameters for spatially flat dust filled Universe in Brans-Dicke theory

We have investigated late time acceleration for a spatially fiat dust filled Universe in Brans- Dicke theory in the presence of a positive cosmological constant A. Expressions for Hubble＇s constant, luminosity distance and apparent magnitude have been obtained for our model. The theoretical results are compared with observed values of the latest 287 high redshift （0.3 ≤ z ≤1.4） Type Ia supernova data taken from the Union 2.1 compilation to estimate present values of matter and dark energy parame- ters, （Ωm）0 and （ΩA）0. We have also estimated the present value of Hubble＇s constant H0 in light of an updated sample of Hubble parameter measurements including 19 independent data points. The results are found to be in good agreement with recent astrophysical observations. We also calculated various physical parameters such as matter and dark energy densities, present age of the Universe and decelera- tion parameter. The value for Brans-Dicke-coupling constant ω is set to be 40 000 based on accuracy of solar system tests and recent experimental evidence.

With the continuous increase in human population,there is widespread usage of chemical fertilizers that are responsible for introducing abiotic stresses in agricultural crop *** stresses are major constraints for crop yield and global food security and therefore require an immediate *** implementation of plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria(PGPR)into the agricultural production system can be a profitable alternative because of its efficiency in plant growth regulation and abiotic stress *** bacteria have the potential to promote plant growth and to aid in the management of plant diseases and abiotic stresses in the soil through production of bacterial phytohormones and associated metabolites as well as through significant root morphological *** changes result in improved plant-water relations and nutritional status in plants and stimulate plants’defensive mechanisms to overcome unfavorable environmental ***,we describe the significance of plant-microbe interactions,highlighting the role of PGPR,bacterial phytohormones,and bacterial metabolites in relieving abiotic environmental stress in *** research is necessary to gather in-depth knowledge on PGPR-associated mechanisms and plant-microbe interactions in order to pave a way for field-scale application of beneficial rhizobacteria,with the aim of building a healthy and sustainable agricultural ***,this review aims to emphasize the role of PGPR in growth promotion and management of abiotic soil stress with the goal of developing an eco-friendly and cost-effective strategy for future agricultural sustainability.

The field of 2-dimensional (2D) materials has witnessed a sharp growth since its inception and can majorly be attributed to the substantial technical and scientific developments, leading to significant improvements in their syntheses, characterization and applications. In the list of 2D materials, the relatively newer addition is phosphorene, which ideally consists of a single layer of black phosphorous. Keeping in mind the past, and ongoing research activities, this short account offers a brief overview of the present status and the associated challenges in the field of phosphorene-related research, with special emphasis on their syntheses, properties, applications and future opportunities.

This paper analyzes a finite-buffer renewal input single server discrete-time queueing system with multiple working vacations. The server works at a different rate rather than completely stopping working during the multiple working vacations. The service times during a service period, service time during a vacation period and vacation times are geometrically distributed. The queue is analyzed using the supplementary variable and the imbedded Markov-chain techniques. We obtain steady-state system length distributions at pre-arrival, arbitrary and outside observer＇s observation epochs. The analysis of actual waiting-time distribution and some performance measures are carried out. We present some numerical results and discuss special cases of the model.
