This paper presents a comprehensive study that includes the sizing and power flow by series and parallel inverters in a distributed generation system(DGs)that integrates the system of hybrid wind photovoltaic with a unified power quality conditioner(UPQC).In addition to supplying active power to the utility grid,the system of hybrid wind photovoltaic functions as a UPQC,compensating reactive power and suppressing the harmonic load ***,the load is supplied with harmonic-free,balanced and regulated output *** PVWind-UPQC is established on a dual compensation scheme,the series inverter works like a sinusoidal current source,while the parallel inverter works like a sinusoidal voltage ***,a smooth alteration from interconnected operating modes to island operating modes and vice versa can be achieved without load voltage *** PV-Wind-UPQC inverters handle the energy generated through the hybrid wind photovoltaic system and the energy demanded through the load,the converters should be sized cautiously.A detailed study of the flow of power via the PV-Wind-UPQC is imperative to gain a complete understanding of the system operation and the proper design of the ***,curves that allow the sizing of the power converters according to the power flow via the converters are presented and *** results are presented to assess both steady state and dynamic performances of the grid connected hybrid system of *** investigation is verified by simulating and analyzing the results with Matlab/Simulink.

The present study deals with the flow of blood through a stenotic artery in the presence of a uniform magnetic field. Different flow situations are taken into account by considering the regular and irregular shapes of stenosis lying inside the walls of artery. Blood inside the artery is assumed to be Eyring–Powell fluid. A mathematical model is developed and simplified under the physical assumptions of stenosis. The regular perturbation method is adopted to find the solutions for axial velocity and pressure gradient. The variations in pressure drop across the stenosis length, the impedance and the shear stress at the walls of stenotic artery are discussed in detail through graphs. It is observed that the Eyring–Powell fluid is helpful in reducing the resistance to the flow in stenotic artery. Moreover, symmetric form of stenosis is more hazardous as compared to asymmetric stenosis.

Navigating the Impact of Globalization on Bank Efficiency in China

The paper provides for the first time empirical evidence on the impact of economic globalization on bank efficiency in a developing economy. Using the data envelopment analysis method, we compute the efficiency of the Chinese banking sector during 2000- 2002 The empirical findings suggest that the inefficiency of the Chinese banking sector stems largely from scale rather than pure technical inefficiencies. Examining different components of economic globalization, we find that greater economic integration through higher trade flows, cultural proximity and political globalization have significant andpositive influence on bank efficiency levels. The empirical findings suggest that liberalization （restrictions） of the capital account exerts a negative （positive） influence on bank efficiency levels in China.

This paper presents an AMC(artificial magnetic conductor)-based wideband circularly polarized printed monopole antenna for unidirectional *** antenna includes an AMC reflector,a coplanar waveguide(CPW)feed structure to excite the antenna,a ground plane with a rectangular slot on the left side of feedline,and an asymmetrical ground plane on its right *** induced surface currents on CWP feedline,rectangularly slotted,and asymmetrical ground planes cause circularly polarized *** AMC reflector consisting periodic metallic square patches is used instead of the conventional PEC(perfect electric conductor)reflector,the distance between the antenna and reflector is reduced from 0.25λ0 to 0.18λ0 with performance *** incorporating AMC layer with the monopole antenna,the gain of antenna is increased from 3.3 dBic to 8.7 dBic while the axial ratio bandwidth(ARBW)of antenna is increased from 27.27%to 51.67%.The simulated and measured results show that the proposed antenna has an overlapping 10-dB|S_(11)|and 3-dB ARBW of 51.67%(3.0–5.09 Ghz).The overall dimensions of monopole antenna backed by AMC reflector is 1.20_(λ0)×1.20_(λ0)×0.21_(λ0) and covers 5G sub-6 Ghz new radio bands(n77/n78/n79)for wireless communication systems.

Investigating Evacuation Trends and Restoration Processes from Serious Earthquake Damage in Japan

Japan has experienced many large-scale natural disasters, such as earthquakes, typhoons accompanied by heavy rain, and landslides. Based on data for the damage caused by four recent major earthquakes in Japan, we investigate the trends in the number of evacuees and evacuation centres after these disasters as well as the restoration processes for public utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and communication lines. We compare the restoration speeds and trends of the damaged infrastructure systems. We also propose various mathematical models to approximate the recovery trends using both evacuee-related data and damage recovery process data. These results can be used to design natural disaster mitigation policies not only in Japan, but also in other countries. The results of various statistical data analyses and mathematical modelling techniques are applied to provide policy suggestions.

Impact of Nicotine Consumption on hyper Acidic Patients Taking PPI: An <i>In-Vitro</i>and Computational Analysis

The study aims to investigate the protein binding kinetics of nicotine and a PPI (pantoprazole) with Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) through UV spectroscopy and computational modeling. Data was obtained by using nicotine and pantoprazole and warfarin and diazepam as the two site specific probes on Bovine serum albumin (BSA). In-vitro and in-silico modeling was carried out in creating an environment that simulates the body environment. Cellulose membrane tubes were cut into 9 cm and tied tightly not to let any mixtures leak out. To determine number of binding sites, association constants by using Scatchard plot, predominant binding site of each drug and rise in % of free fraction of one by the other were analyzed using equilibrium dialysis method. Molecular docking further verifies the observations. In Scatchard plot analysis, for nicotine, n1, n2, k1 and k2 = 2.2, 7.6, 0.18 μM−1 and 0.02 μM−1 and for pantoprazole, n1, n2, k1?and k2 = 0.42, 1.2, 0.40 μM−1 and 0.03 μM−1. Nicotine binds more to diazepam site (site-II) and pantoprazole mainly to warfarin site (site-I). In molecular docking, the binding affinity of nicotine being −5.7 kcal/mole demonstrates higher affinity for site-II than that of pantoprazole whose binding affinity is −8.0 kcal/mole. In absence and presence of warfarin, the free fraction of pantoprazole bound to BSA (1:1) was increased from 37.79% to 82.44% and 51.78% to 98.80% respectively by nicotine. On the other hand, free fraction of nicotine was raised by pantoprazole from 12.89% to 75.70% and 50.08% to 99.66% in the absence and presence of diazepam. Both the results of spectroscopic and computational molecular docking suggest that administering pantoprazole with nicotine might increase the % free fraction of pantoprazole more. Thus, nicotine consumption can be beneficial for smoker people taking PPI like pantoprazole.

Networks have become an integral part of today’s world. The ease of deployment, low-cost and high data rates have contributed significantly to their popularity. There are many protocols that are tailored to ease the process of establishing these networks. Nevertheless, security-wise precautions were not taken in some of them. In this paper, we expose some of the vulnerability that exists in a commonly and widely used network protocol, the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) protocol. Effectively, we will implement a user friendly and an easy-to-use tool that exploits the weaknesses of this protocol to deceive a victim’s machine and a router through creating a sort of Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) attack. In MITM, all of the data going out or to the victim machine will pass first through the attacker’s machine. This enables the attacker to inspect victim’s data packets, extract valuable data (like passwords) that belong to the victim and manipulate these data packets. We suggest and implement a defense mechanism and tool that counters this attack, warns the user, and exposes some information about the attacker to isolate him. GNU/Linux is chosen as an operating system to implement both the attack and the defense tools. The results show the success of the defense mechanism in detecting the ARP related attacks in a very simple and efficient way.

NS1 antigen: A new beam of light in the early diagnosis of dengue infection

Objective: To evaluate NS1 antigen detection ELISA for the early laboratory diagnosis of dengue virus infection. Methods: The present study was conducted to evaluate the overall positivity of NS1 antigen detection ELISA and its comparison with viral RNA detection via real time PCR and Ig M antibodies detection by ELISA. Results: A total of 1 270 serum samples were tested 86%(1 097/1 270) were detected positive by one or more than one diagnostic test. Out of 1 270, 64%(807/1 270) were positive by NS1 ELISA and 52%(662/1 270), 51%(646/1 270) were positive by real-time RT-PCR and Ig M ELISA ***: NS1 antigen detection ELISA is highly suitable diagnostic tools and it also has great value for use in outbreak and epidemic situation.
