Agroforestry Initiatives for Capacity Building and Social Security through Captive Plantations on Degraded Lands of Farmers in State Karnataka, India

To meet the demand of raw material, i.e., wood, from the available sources always remained a big challenge for paper industries since the last two decades. For a sustainable supply of raw material in future, major plantation activities were undertaken by paper industries, like West Coast Paper Mills Limited （WCPM）, by constituting a society, i.e., Society for Afforestation, Research and Allied Works （SARA）, Dandeli in 2001. The main aim was to promote afforestation programme through major plantations activities on the degraded lands （under rainfed condition） and to generate employments and capacity building. The WCPM is a leading paper manufacturing industry of the country （under the flagship of Bangur group） located at the bank of Kali River in Dandeli of Uttar Kannada district in State Karnataka. To date, company through SARA has raised captive plantations on more than 50,000 acres of degraded land by farmers in different districts of Maharashtm, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu States under Captive Plantation Project through Contract for Farming （CFF） since 2006 under a simple agreement period of only five years. After five years, society arranged to harvest the first rotation crop of the farmer of 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 plantations and paid the amount of the crop directly to farmers. SARA has a mutual contract with WCPM for purchasing pulpwood. With this, farmers are getting full amount of their crop harvested after five years without any hurdle through SARA. SARA did all the expenditures, i.e., from land development, plantation and harvesting. Under its agroforestry plantation programme, superior planting material of various pulpwood species suited to particular area, i.e., Eucalyptus, Subabul, Casuarina and Acacia were planted on farmer＇s land. Farmers were also encouraged for intercropping, like maize, peanut （groundnut）, chilly, tomato and ginger with plantations. Comparative analysis of real-world data of frequent treatment sequences in metastatic prostate cancer

Background:The incidence of prostate cancer is increasing worldwide.A significant proportion of patients developmetastatic disease and are initially prescribed androgen deprivation therapy(ADT).However,subsequent sequences of treatments in real-world settings that may improve overall survival remain an area of active *** and methods:Data were collected from 384 patients presenting with de novo metastatic prostate cancer from 2011 to 2015 at a tertiary cancer *** were categorized into surviving(n=232)and deceased(n=152)groups at the end of 3 *** sequence pattern mining techniques(Generalized Sequential Pattern Mining and Sequential Pattern Discovery using Equivalence Classes)were applied to determine the exact order of the most frequent sets of treatments in each ***:Degarelix,as the initial form of ADT,was uniquely in the surviving *** sequence of ADT followed by abiraterone and docetaxel was uniquely associated with a higher 3-year overall *** followed by fosfestrol was found to have a unique niche among surviving patients with a long duration of response to the initial *** who received chemotherapy followed by radiotherapy and those who received radiotherapy followed by chemotherapy were found more frequently in the deceased ***:We identified unique treatment sequences among surviving and deceased patients at the end of 3 *** should be the preferred formof *** who received ADT followed by abiraterone and chemotherapy showed better *** requiring palliative radiation and chemotherapy in any sequence were significantlymore frequent in the deceased group,identifying the need to offer such patients the most efficacious agents and to target them in clinical trial design.

Punjabi DeConverter for generating Punjabi from Universal Networking Language

DeConverter is core software in a Universal Networking Language(UNL) system.A UNL system has EnConverter and DeConverter as its two major *** is used to convert a natural language sentence into an equivalent UNL expression,and DeConverter is used to generate a natural language sentence from an input UNL *** paper presents design and development of a Punjabi *** describes five phases of the proposed Punjabi DeConverter,i.e.,UNL parser,lexeme selection,morphology generation,function word insertion,and syntactic *** paper also illustrates all these phases of the Punjabi DeConverter with a special focus on syntactic linearization issues of the Punjabi *** linearization is the process of defining arrangements of words in generated *** algorithms and pseudocodes for implementation of syntactic linearization of a simple UNL graph,a UNL graph with scope nodes and a node having un-traversed parents or multiple parents in a UNL graph have been discussed in this *** cases of syntactic linearization with respect to Punjabi language for UNL relations like 'and','or','fmt','cnt',and 'seq' have also been presented in this *** paper also provides implementation results of the proposed Punjabi *** DeConverter has been tested on 1000 UNL expressions by considering a Spanish UNL language server and agricultural domain threads developed by Indian Institute of Technology(IIT),Bombay,India,as *** proposed system generates 89.0% grammatically correct sentences,92.0% faithful sentences to the original sentences,and has a fluency score of 3.61 and an adequacy score of 3.70 on a 4-point *** system is also able to achieve a bilingual evaluation understudy(BLEU) score of 0.72.

Selective Mapping Scheme for Universal Filtered Multicarrier

Geology of the Copper Mineralization in Proterozoic Ajabgarh Meta-Sediments of, Dokan-Dariba Belt, Sikar District Rajasthan Northwestern India

The Khetri copper belt is a well-known metallotect in northern part of Delhi fold belt in Rajasthan. On the eastern margin of the Khetri sub basin of North Delhi basin separated by a basement high, another sub basin Alwar-Ajabgarh sub basin exposes that a thick sequence of Ajabgarh group of rocks overlies a thick arenaceous sequence of Alwar group of Delhi Super Group of rocks. The Ajabgarh meta sediments here in the Neem Ka thana area are characterized by presence of Bornite dominated copper mineralization with silver association and minor presence of Pb. The mineralization has been described by various workers as strata-bound, hypogene and IOCG. But these inferences are based on part information and the inference drawn is sectorial in nature. The current study includes a holistic study based on exploration over a period of more than two decades and the data generated suggest thereof, that this syngenetic sulphide mineralization associated with the sedimentation of marl and carbonate rocks. Subsequently it has been relocated during 2nd deformation accompanied by epigenetic component of mineralization depicted in terms of vein filled coarse grained aggregates of bornite and chalcopyrite disposed across the general disposition of litho-package. The EPMA and fluid inclusion data generated from the area indicate association of typical hydrothermal environment minerals like, Perkrite, Wittchenite, Aguilarite, Molybdnite etc. The mineralizing fluids have been trapped between the temperature ranges of 130°C to 375°C with average being 250°C to 300°C. The fluid salinity also varies from near pure hot water to moderately saline fluid indicative of multi-episodic mineralization of syngenetic nature coupled with epigenetic component. The ore textures indicate 500°C temperature range;certain intergrowths of minerals like specular hematite and bornite suggest the occurrence of hypogene environment induced due to emplacement of granite/pegmatite on the eastern and sou

Boudin Types, Their Morphology and Significance in Interpreting Deformational History in Proterozoic Rocks of North Delhi Fold Belt, North Western India

The boudins can be of symmetric as well as asymmetric type and can help in determining shear sense and help unfold the deformational history, hence are important structure for recognizing the history of deformation in an area;Once the rocks of an area undergo polyphase of deformation, the boudins get modified and can no longer help in determining the deformational evidences. The present study involves identification of various types of boudins their classification and morphology as per existing status of knowledge and their role in determining the type of deformation in Neem Ka Thana belt, Proterozoic rocks of North Delhi fold belt. The study of symmetric, asymmetric and modified boudins in the area enabled the author to deduce that the rocks in above belt have suffered a ployphase deformation marked with flattening type of progressive deformation during the first phase (DF1) of deformation and the second phase (DF2) with a time gap, has produced modified boudins and folded boudin structures with the largely same axis of deformation in both these deformations.

Many Propositions are made about the mechanism of emplacement of volcanoclastic material in the Bombay volcanic complex. The present paper deals exclusively with the physical features of the deposits laid by a complex tectono-magmatic process by making detailed inventory of the different kind of volcanic ejecta exposed in the Bomay Volcanic Complex (BVC), and an attempt has been made to classify the deposits genetically. A subsidenace which was hinted at earlier, may be a possible cauldron in BVC has been proposed, which might be responsible for producing such a varied and complex lithology.
