robotic colonoscopes could potentially provide a comfortable, less painful andsafer alternative to standard colonoscopy. recent exciting developments in thisfield are pushing the boundaries to what is possible in the future. This articleprovides a comprehensive review of the current work in robotic colonoscopesincluding self-propelled, steerable and disposable endoscopes that could bealternatives to standard colonoscopy. We discuss the advantages and disadvantagesof these systems currently in development and highlight the technicalreadiness of each system to help the reader understand where and when suchsystems may be available for routine clinical use and get an idea of where and inwhich situation they can best be deployed.

Elemental powders of Cu and Fe were ball milled for various time durations up to 100 h. The various stages of forced alloying by ball milling, leading to instability of elemental crystalline phases and formation of quasicrystalline phases were monitored using X-ray diffraction. Diffusion of Fe into the Cu matrix is proposed as the cause which triggers the instability of crystalline phases and leads to the formation of quasicrystalline phases after 10 h of milling. Milling for 100 h resulted in two different quasicrystalline phases with different lattice constants. role of the nanocrystalline microstructure as an important criterion for the destabilisation of crystalline phases is explained. It is suggested that the formation of nanocrystalline microstructure and their subsequent transformation into quasicrystalline phases may be associated with a continuous increase in the disclination content of the system, which had formed as a result of continued milling and mechanical deformation.

This paper proposes one method of feature selection by using Bayes＇ theorem. The purpose of the proposed method is to reduce the computational complexity and increase the classification accuracy of the selected feature subsets. The dependence between two attributes （binary） is determined based on the probabilities of their joint values that contribute to positive and negative classification decisions. If opposing sets of attribute values do not lead to opposing classification decisions （zero probability）, then the two attributes are considered independent of each other, otherwise dependent, and one of them can be removed and thus the number of attributes is reduced. The process must be repeated on all combinations of attributes. The paper also evaluates the approach by comparing it with existing feature selection algorithms over 8 datasets from University of California, Irvine （UCI） machine learning databases. The proposed method shows better results in terms of number of selected features, classification accuracy, and running time than most existing algorithms.

Dear Editor, microrNAs （mirNAs） are short non-coding rNAs that play crucial roles in plant development and responses to biotic and abiotic stresses, mirNA biogenesis starts with the tran- scription of a hairpin-forming pri-mirNA that is sequentially cleaved yielding a duplex rNA molecule consisting of the mature mirNA （typically 21-22 nt in length） and mirNA＊. Typically, mature mirNAs are the active forms and are incor- porated into different rNA-induced silencing complexes that regulate gene expression by inhibition of translation or cleavage of complementary mrNAs （reviewed in Axtell et al., 2011）.

AIM: To determine whether aspirin or non-aspirin nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NA-NsAIDs) prevent colorectal cancer(CrC) in patients with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).METHODs: We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis. We searched for articles reporting the risk of CrC in patients with IBD related to aspirin or NANsAID use. Pooled odds ratios(Or) and 95%CIs were determined using a random-effects model. Publication bias was assessed using Funnel plots and Egger's test. Heterogeneity was assessed using Cochran's Q and the I2 ***: Eight studies involving 14917 patients and 3 studies involving 1282 patients provided data on the risk of CrC in patients with IBD taking NA-NsAIDs and aspirin respectively. The pooled Or of developing CrC after exposure to NA-NsAIDs in patients with IBD was 0.80(95%CI: 0.39-1.21) and after exposure to aspirin it was 0.66(95%CI: 0.06-1.39). There was significant heterogeneity(I2 > 50%) between the studies. There was no change in the effect estimates on subgroup a na ly s e s o f t he po pulat io n s t udie d o r w he t he r adjustment or matching was ***: There is a lack of high quality evidence on this important clinical topic. From the available evidence NA-NsAID or aspirin use does not appear to be chemopreventative for CrC in patients with IBD.

An investigation on the precise electronic structure and bonding interactions has been carried out on Ba1-xsrxZr0.1Ti0.9O3 （short for BsZT, x = 0, 0.05, 0.07 and 0.14） ceramic systems prepared via high-temperature solid state reaction technique. The influence of sr doping on the BsZT structure has been examined by characterizing the prepared samples using PXrD, UV-visible spectrophotometry, sEM and EDs. Powder profile refinement of X-ray data confirms that all the synthesized samples have been crystallized in cubic perovskite structure with single phase. Charge density distribution of the BsZT systems has been completely analyzed by the maximum entropy method （MEM）. Co-substitution of sr at the Ba site and Zr at the Ti site into the BaTiOz structure presents the ionic nature between Ba and O ions and the covalent nature between Ti and O ions, revealed from MEM calculations. Optical band gap values have been evaluated from UV-visible absorption spectra. Particles with irregular shapes and well defined grain boundaries are clearly visualized from sEM images. The phase purity of the prepared samples is further confirmed by EDs qualitative spectral analysis.

Thymoquinone(TQ), an active component derived from the medial plant Nigella sativa, has been used for medical purposes for more than 2 000 years. recent studies have reported that TQ blocked angiogenesis in animal model and reduced migration, adhesion, and invasion of glioblastoma cells. We have recently shown that TQ could exhibit a potent cytotoxic effect and induce apoptosis in mouse neuroblastoma(Neuro-2a) cells. In the present study, TQ treatment markedly decreased the adhesion and migration of Neuro-2a cells. TQ down-regulated MMP-2 and MMP-9 protein expression and m rNA levels and their activities. Furthermore, TQ significantly down-regulated the protein expression of transcription factor NF-κB(p65) but not significantly altered the expression of N-Myc. Taken together, our data indicated that TQ's inhibitory effect on the migration of Neuro-2a cells was mediated through the suppression of MMP-2 and MMP-9 expression, suggesting that TQ treatment can be a promising therapeutic strategy for human malignant neuroblastoma.

A feeding experiment was conducted to evaluate the ef fects of bulk zinc(B-Zn) and zinc nanoparticles(Zn-NPs) on survival, growth, compositions of amino acid and fatty acid, and nonspeci?c immune responses of the freshwater prawn, Macrobrachium rosenbergii post larvae. The B-Zn(size 10 μm)and Zn-NPs(size 50 nm) were supplemented separately with the basal feeds of M. rosenbergii at 60 mg/kg and feed without supplementation of any Zn source was served as a control. M. rosenbergii were fed these feeds for 90 days and the results showed that signi?cant( P rovements in survival, growth, feed intake,speci?c growth rate, essential amino acids, unsaturated fatty acids, nonspeci?c immune responses(total haemocytes and dif ferential haemocytes count) of M. rosenbergii fed with B-Zn and Zn-NPs supplemented feeds when compared to control. Among these Zn sources, Zn-NPs supplemented feeds fed prawns showed signi?cantly( P r performance than that of B-Zn and control. Hence, present study suggests that the 60 mg/kg Zn-NPs can be supplemented with basal feeds of M. rosenbergii for regulating better survival and growth.
