A reverse phase high performance liquid chromatographic method (HPLC) has been developed for the estimation of Alfuzosin hydrochloride (ALH) in the pharmaceutical formulation using RP-C18 column. The mobile phase (Tetrahydrofuran, Acetonitrile and buffer (pH 3.50) was pumped at a flow rate of 1.5 ml/min in the ratio of 1:20:80 and the eluents were monitored at 254.0 nm. Linearity was obtained in the concentration range of 80 - 120 μg/mL for ALH. The method was statistically validated and RSD was found to be less than 2% indicating high degree of accuracy and precision of the proposed HPLC method. Due to its simplicity, rapidness, high precision and accuracy, the proposed HPLC method may be used for determination of Alfuzosin hydrochloride in bulk drugs and in pharmaceutical dosage form.

The application of extracellular vesicles,particularly exosomes(EXs),is rapidly expanding in the field of medicine,owing to their remarkable properties as natural carriers of biological *** study investigates utilization of exosomes derived from stromal cells of tumor adj.cent normal tissues(NAF-EXs)for personalized medicine,which can be derived at the time of diagnosis by endoscopic ***,we show that exosomes(EXs)derived from NAFs demonstrate differential bio-physical characteristics,efficient cellular internalization,drug loading efficiency,pancreatic tumor targeting and delivery of ***-derived EXs(NAF-EXs)were used for loading ormeloxifene(ORM),a potent anti-cancer and desmoplasia inhibitor as a model *** found that ORM maintains normal fibroblast cell phenotype and renders them incompatible to be triggered for a CAF-like phenotype,which may be due to regulation of Ca^(2+) influx in fibroblast ***-EXs-ORM effectively blocked oncogenic signaling pathways involved in desmoplasia and epithelial mesenchymal transition(EMT)and repressed tumor growth in xenograft mouse *** conclusion,our data suggests preferential tropism of NAF-EXs for PDAC tumors,thus imply feasibility of developing a novel personalized medicine for PDAC patients using autologous NAF-EXs for improved therapeutic outcome of anti-cancer ***,it provides the opportunity of utilizing this biological scaffold for effective therapeutics in combination with standard therapeutic regimen.

Trace metals associated with PM10 aerosols and their variation during day and nighttime as well as during different seasons have been studied for the year 2012. PCA analysis suggested5 PCs,which accounted for 86.8% cumulative variance. PC1 accounted for 30% with a significant loading of metals of anthropogenic origin,while PC2 showed 28% variance with the loading of metals of crustal origin. These trace metals showed seasonal distinct day and night time characteristics. The concentrations of Cu,Pb,and Cd were found to be higher during nighttime in all the seasons. Only Fe was observed with significantly higher mean concentrations during daytime of all seasons except monsoon. The highest mean values of Cu,Cd,Zn,and Pb during post-monsoon might be attributed to winds advection over the regions of waste/biomass burning and industrial activities in Punj.b and Haryana ***,concentration weighted traj.ctory analysis suggested that metals of crustal origin were contributed by long-range transport while metals of anthropogenic and industrial activities were contributed by regional/local source regions.

This study investigates the effect of tool rotational speed(TRS)on particle distribution in nugget zone(NZ)through quantitative approach and its consequences on the mechanical property of friction stir welded j.ints of AA6092/17.5 SiCp-T6 composite.6 mm thick plates are welded at a constant tool tilt angle of 2°and tool traverse speed of 1 mm/s by varying the TRS at 1000 rpm,1500 rpm and 2000 rpm with a taper pin profiled *** analysis shows large quantity of uniformly shaped smaller size SiC particle with lower average particle area which are homogeneously distributed in the *** fragmentation of bigger size particles has been observed because of abrading action of the hard tool and resulting shearing effect and severe stress generation due to the rotation of *** particles occupy maximum area in the matrix compared to that of the base material(BM)due to the redistribution of broken particles as an effect of *** migration of particles towards the TMAZ-NZ transition zone has been also encountered at higher TRS(2000 rpm).The microhardness analysis depicts variation in average hardness from top to bottom of the NZ,minimum for 1500 rpm and maximum for 2000 *** impact strength at 1000 rpm and 1500 rpm remains close to that of BM(21.6 j.while 2000 rpm shows the accountable *** maximum j.int efficiency has been achieved at 1500 rpm(84%)and minimum at 1000 rpm(68%)under tensile *** analysis shows mixed mode of failure for BM,1000 rpm and 1500 rpm,whereas 2000 rpm shows the brittle mode of failure.

Multiple reference optical coherence tomography（MR-OCT） is a recently developed, low-cost and compact time-domain OCT solution for primary care and consumer level applications. A combination of a voice coil actuator and a partial mirror（PM） extends the scan range for imaging depths of approximately 1 mm in biological samples. Our previous research on MR-OCT is based only on intensity information obtained from the depth-resolved interference signal. In this Letter, we extract the phase information from the MR-OCT signal and, hence, provide an additional contrast modality. The phase sensitivity of the system is measured to be approximately 0.2 and 1.5 rad for the first and twelfth orders of reflection when using a mirror as the *** Letter describes first results of phase-sensitive data measured on a phantom obtained with MR-OCT. Data from a chick embryo chorioallantoic membrane（CAM） is used to demonstrate the feasibility of MR-OCT for in vivo phase-sensitive imaging.

In this study,the role of twin-twin interactions on the distributions of local defects(e.g.,dislocations)and stress fields in a magnesium alloy is investigated.A co-zone(1012)-(1012)tensile twin j.nction in a deformed Mg-3wt.%Y alloy is analyzed using transmission electron microscopy(TEM).The results show that the morphology of the impinging(1012)twin is asymmetric,and the non-interacting boundary of the recipient(1012)twin is *** analysis of TEM images reveals that type-II pyramidal[1213](1212)dislocations concentrate in the vicinity of the twin-twin j.nction *** samedislocations are also observed inside the interacting twin domains along with a few ***dislocations emanating from the impinging(1012)twin boundary have edge character and are extended with faults parallel to the basal *** contrast,thedislocations connected to the recipient(1012)twin are predominantly screw orientation and ***-viscoplastic fast Fourier transform based crystal plasticity calculations are performed to rationalize the observed twin morphology and local dislocation *** model calculations suggest that the local stress fields generated at the j.nction site where the two twins meet are responsible for the experimentally observed concentration of*** calculated stress fields are asymmetric with respect to the j.nction site,explaining the observed asymmetric morphology of the impinging ***,these findings show strong effects of twin-twin interactions on the distribution of dislocations as well as the evolution of the twinned microstructure and as such,can help advance understanding of twinning in Mg alloys and their effect on mechanical behavior.

Nature is a rich source of medicinal plants and their products that are useful for treatment of various diseases and disorders. Momordica charantia, commonly known as bitter melon or bitter gourd, is one of such plants known for its biological activities used in traditional system of medicines. This plant is cultivated in all over the world, including tropical areas of Asia, Amazon, east Africa, and the Caribbean and used as a vegetable as well as folk medicine. All parts of the plant, including the fruit, are commonly consumed and cooked with different vegetables, stir-fried, stuffed or used in small quantities in soups or beans to give a slightly bitter flavor and taste. The plant is reported to possess anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, anti-diabetic, anti-bacterial, anti-obesity, and immunomodulatory activities. The plant extract inhibits cancer cell growth by inducing apoptosis, cell cycle arrest, autophagy and inhibiting cancer stem cells. The plant is rich in bioactive chemical constituents like cucurbitane type triterpenoids, triterpene glycosides, phenolic acids, flavonoids, essential oils, saponins, fatty acids, and proteins. Some of the isolated compounds （Kuguacin j. Karaviloside XI, Kuguaglycoside C, Momordicoside Q-U, Charantin, a-eleostearic acid） and proteins （a-Momorcharin, RNase MC2, MAP30） possess potent biological activity. In the present review, we are summarizing the anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer activities of Momordica charantia along with a short account of important chemical constituents, providing a basis for establishing detail biological activities of the plant and developing novel drug molecules based on the active chemical constituents.

We sought to determine the characteristics of viral specimens associated with fatal cases,asymptomatic cases and non-fatal symptomatic cases of *** included the analysis of 1264 specimens found reactive for at least two SARS-CoV-2 specific loci from people screened for infection in Northern Nevada in March-May of *** these,30 were specimens from fatal cases,while 23 were from positive,asymptomatic *** assessed the relative amounts of SARS-CoV-2 RNA from sample swabs by real-time PCR and use of the threshold crossing value(Ct).Moreover,we compared the amount of human RNase P found on the same swabs.A considerably higher viral load was found to be associated with swabs from cases involving fatality and the difference was found to be strongly statistically *** this difference,we sought to assess whether any genetic correlation could be found in association with virus from fatal cases using whole genome *** no common genetic elements were discerned,one branch of epidemiologically linked fatal cases did have two point mutations,which no other of 156 sequenced cases from northern Nevada *** mutations caused amino acid changes in the 3′-5′exonuclease protein,and the product of the gene,orf8.

Whole genome sequencing of buffalo is yet to be completed, and in the near future it may not be possible to identify an exome （coding region of genome） through bioinformatics for designing probes to capture it. In the present study, we employed in solution hybridization to sequence tissue specific temporal exomes （TST exome） in buffalo. We utilized cDNA prepared from buffalo muscle tissue as a probe to capture TST exomes from the buffalo genome. This resulted in a prominent reduction of repeat sequences （up to 40%） and an enrichment of coding sequences （up to 60%）. Enriched targets were sequenced on a 454 pyro-sequencing platform, generating 101,244 reads contain- ing 24,127,779 high quality bases. The data revealed 40,100 variations, of which 403 were indels and 39,218 SNPs containing 195 nonsyn- onymous candidate SNPs in protein-coding regions. The study has indicated that 80% of the total genes identified from capture data were expressed in muscle tissue. The present study is the first of its kind to sequence TST exomes captured by use of cDNA molecules for SNPs found in the coding region without any prior sequence information of targeted molecules.

Study of Hydrophobic Nature of Fullerene-Based Poly (Methyl Hydro Siloxane) and Polyacrylonitrile Interpenetrating Polymer Network

In this study, the effect of combining different molecular domains on single platform has been reported that revealed a proper packing and interpenetration of fullerene spheres with the monomeric species. The fabricated IPN system exhibits hydrophobic behavior in nature. An interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) of fullerene-based poly (methyl hydro siloxane) (PMHS) and polyacrylonitrile (PAN) was prepared. The synthesized polymer network was characterized using infrared (IR) spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetric analysis (DSC), and scanning electron microscopic (SEM) technique. The IPN was analyzed by IR spectroscopy, which depicts presence of fullerene at 500 cm−1 and 1632 cm−1, presence of PHMS at 1050 cm−1, 1250 cm−1, 2225 cm−1, and 3000 cm−1 and presence of PAN at 3077 cm−1, 1299 cm−1, 1408 cm−1 and 2083 cm−1. Shifting in band positions indicated the interpenetration of the reacting species. DSC endotherm showed crystalline peak (Tc) at 117˚C, which indicated the crystalline nature of the synthesized IPN. The absence of Tg peak and clear observable Tc peak revealed crystalline behavior of polymeric network. The microstructure of the polymer network was observed by SEM technique, which revealed transparent and dual-phase morphology of the IPN surface. The fluorescent emission spectra of polymeric network were recorded on a spectrofluorometer which revealed fluorescent excitation and emission spectra of the IPN. The Emission spectra generated by radiative decay of excitations exhibit a maximal peak at 450 nm, suggesting that the synthesized IPN nanosheets were typically high-intensity blue light emitting materials. The FTIR investigations revealed multiple non-covalent interactions achieved by polymerization with physical anchoring on the polymeric network surfaces.
