Transition metal sulfide(TMS)anodes exhibit the characteristics of phase stability and high capacity for lithium/sodium-ion batteries(LIBs/SIBs).However,the TMS anodes often suffer from poor electronic conductivity,low ionic diffusion and large volume expansion during Li/na-ion intercalation significantly impairing the Li/na-storage ***,a long chain heterostructure composed of the Co_(9)S_(8) and SnS are first reported,which can generate rich phase interfaces,and small crystal *** unique structure can facilitate the properties of reactivity,conductivity and ionic *** addition,the heterostructure surface is modified by the n-doped carbon(n-DC@(CoSn)S),successfully improving the structural *** synergistic effects of Co_(9)S_(8)/SnS heterostructure and coated carbon layer effectively increase the capacity and cycling *** n-DC@(CoSn)S anode delivers enhanced high specific capacities of 820.6 mAh·g^(−1) at 1.0 A·g^(–1) after 500 cycles for LIBs and 339.2 mAh·g^(–1)at 0.5 A·g^(–1) after 1000 cycles for SIBs,*** work is expected to provide a material design idea for preparing LIBs/SIBs with high capacity and long cycling life.

Selenium(Se)in paddy rice is one of the significant sources of human Se ***,the effect of arsenic(As)pollution in soil on the translocation of Se species in rice plants is *** this research,a pot experiment was designed to examine the effect of the addition of 50 mg As/kg soil as arsenite or arsenate on the migration of Se species from soil to indica Minghui 63 and *** results showed that the antagonism between inorganic As and Se was closely related to the rice cultivar and Se oxidation state in *** to the standalone selenate treatment,arsenite significantly(pn of selenocystine,selenomethionine and selenate in the roots,stems,sheaths,leaves,brans and kernels of both cultivars by 21.4%-100.0%,40.0%-100.0%,41.0%-100%,5.4%-96.3%,11.3%-100.0% and 26.2%-39.7% respectively,except for selenocystine in the kernels of indica Minghui 63 and selenomethionine in the leaves of indica Minghui 63 and the stems of indica *** also decreased(pn of selenocystine,selenomethionine and selenate in the roots,stems,brans and kernels of both cultivars by 34.9%-100.0%,30.2%-100.0%,11.3%-100.0% and 5.6%-39.6%respectively,except for selenate in the stems of indica Minghui ***,relative to the standalone selenite treatment,arsenite and arsenate decreased(pn of selenocystine,selenomethionine and selenite only in the roots of indica Minghui 63 by 45.5%-100.0%.Our results suggested that arsenite and arsenate had better antagonism toward Se species in selenate-added soil than that in selenite-added soil;moreover,arsenite had a higher inhibiting effect on the accumulation of Se species than arsenate.

This prospective multicenter phase II study evaluated the clinical efficacy of neoadjuvant nivolumab-exclusive(n)and nivolumab–chemotherapy(n/C)combinations based on PD-L1 *** patients exhibited resectable clinical stage IIA–IIIB(AJCC 8th edition)nSCLC without EGFR/ALK *** received either mono-nivolumab(n)or nivolumab+nabpaclitaxel+carboplatin(n/C)for three cycles based on PD-L1 *** primary endpoint was the major pathological response(MPR).Key secondary endpoints included the pathologic complete response(pCR),objective response rate(ORR),and event-free survival(EFS).Baseline PD-L1 expression and perioperative circulating tumor DnA(ctDnA)status were correlated with pCR and ***-two patients were enrolled,with 46 undergoing *** MPR was 50.0%(26/52),with 25.0%(13/52)achieving pCR,and 16.7%and 66.7%for patients with PD-L1≥50%in n and n/C groups,***(25.0%)patients experienced grade 3 or higher immune-related adverse events during neoadjuvant *** with post-neoadjuvant ctDnA negativity was more likely to have pCR(39.1%)compared with those remained positive(6.7%,odds ratio=6.14,95%CI 0.84-Inf,p=0.077).With a median follow-up of 25.1 months,the 18-month EFS rate was 64.8%(95%CI 51.9–81.0%).For patients with ctDnA–***+,the 18m-EFS rate was 93.8%vs 47.3%(HR,0.15;95%CI 0.04,0.94;p=0.005).Immunochemotherapy may serve as an optimal neoadjuvant treatment even for patients with PD-L1 expression≥50%.ctDnA negativity following neoadjuvant treatment and surgery could help identify superior pathological and survival benefits,which requires further confirmation in a prospective clinical trial(nCT04015778).

BACKGROUnD Pressure ulcer(PU)are prevalent among critically ill trauma patients,posing substantial *** care strategies and silver nanoparticle dressings offer potential solutions,yet their combined effectiveness and impact on patient satisfaction remain insufficiently *** To assess the impact of bundled care along with silver nanoparticle dressing on PUs management and family satisfaction in critically ill trauma *** A total of 98 critically ill trauma patients with PUs in intensive care unit(ICU)were included in this *** were randomly assigned to either the control group(conventional care with silver nanoparticle dressing,n=49)or the intervention group(bundled care with silver nanoparticle dressing,n=49).The PU Scale for Healing(PUSH)tool was used to monitor changes in status of pressure injuries over *** were conducted at various time points:Baseline(day 0)and subsequent assessments on day 3,day 6,day 9,and day *** satisfaction was assessed using the Family Satisfaction ICU 24 *** no significant differences in baseline characteristics were observed between the two *** the intervention group,there were significant reductions in total PUSH scores over the assessment ***,surface area,exudate,and tissue type parameters all showed significant improvements compared to the control *** satisfaction with care and decision-making was notably higher in the intervention *** family satisfaction was significantly better in the intervention *** Bundled care in combination with silver nanoparticle dressings effectively alleviated PUs and enhances family satisfaction in critically ill trauma *** approach holds promise for improving PUs management in the ICU,benefiting both patients and their families.

The production of selenium-enriched fish can contribute to alleviating selenium deficiency in human ***,it is still unclear which selenium source,as an additive,can efficiently and costeffectively produce high-quality selenium-enriched *** study evaluated the effects of selenium nanoparticles(SenP),selenite,and selenomethionine(SeMet)on the growth,antioxidant capacity,selenium content,selenium speciation,and meat quality of grass *** diets were prepared,including a basal diet(BD)and three concentrations(0.1,0.3,and 0.9 mg/kg)of SenP,selenite,and SeMet.A total of600 fish(250.79±1.57 g)were randomly assigned to 30 tanks(3 tanks/group).Fish were fed the experimental diet three times daily for 60 *** this study,SenP most significantly promoted the growth and antioxidant capacity of grass carp,with 0.3 mg/kg SenP identified as the optimal additive ***,SenP demonstrated equally excellent bioavailability as SeMet and significantly increased the content of SeMet in grass carp(Ctenopharyngodon idella)***,compared to SeMet and selenite,dietary SenP could more significantly enhance the content of selenocysteine(SeCys2)and methylselenocysteine(MeSeCys)in grass carp muscle *** addition,we have demonstrated that SeCys2and MeSeCys promote apoptosis of cancer cells(HeLa)through the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway(involving Bax and Bcl-2).Furthermore,as an additive,0.3 mg/kg SenP significantly improved the flesh quality of grass carp by reducing crude fat and heavy metal content,as well as increasing the levels of eicosapentaenoic acid(EPA)and docosahexaenoic acid(DHA)and the ratio of n-3/n-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid(PUFA).In summary,SenP is the most suitable additive for producing selenium-enriched fish.

Epimedin B(EB)is one of the main flavonoid ingredients present in Epimedium brevicornum Maxim.,a traditional herb widely used in *** previous study showed that EB was a stronger inducer of melanogenesis and an activator of tyrosinase(TYR).However,the role of EB in melanogenesis and the mechanism underlying the regulation remain ***,as an extension to our previous investigation,we provide comprehensive evidence of EB-induced pigmentation in vivo and in vitro and elucidate the melanogenesis mechanism by assessing its effects on the TYR family of proteins(TYRs)in terms of expression,activity,and *** results showed that EB increased TYRs expression through microphthalmia-associated transcription factor-mediated p-Akt(referred to as protein kinase B(PKB))/glycogen synthase kinase 3β(GSK3β)/β-catenin,p-p70 S6 kinase cascades,and protein 38(p38)/mitogen-activated protein(MAP)kinase(MAPK)and extracellular regulated protein kinases(ERK)/MAPK pathways,after which EB increased the number of melanosomes and promoted their maturation for melanogenesis in melanoma cells and human primary melanocytes/skin ***,EB exerted repigmentation by stimulating TYR activity in hydroquinone-and n-phenylthiourea-induced TYR inhibitive models,including melanoma cells,zebrafish,and ***,EB ameliorated monobenzone-induced depigmentation in vitro and in vivo through the enhancement of TYRs stability by inhibiting TYR misfolding,TYR-related protein 1 formation,and retention in the endoplasmic reticulum and then by downregulating the ubiquitination and proteolysis *** data conclude that EB can target TYRs and alter their expression,activity,and stability,thus stimulating their pigmentation function,which might provide a novel rational strategy for hypopigmentation treatment in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

AIM:To explore the therapeutic effect and main molecular mechanisms of acteoside in a glaucoma model in DBA/2J ***:Proteomics was used to compare the differentially expressed proteins of C57 and DBA/2J *** acteoside administration in DBA/2J mice,anterior segment observation,intraocular pressure(IOP)monitoring,electrophysiology examination,and hematoxylin and eosin staining were used to analyze any potential ***(IHC)assays were used to verify the proteomics ***,retinal ganglion cell 5(RGC5)cell proliferation was assessed with cell counting kit-8(CCK-8)*** domain-containing protein 4(Sertad4)mRnA and protein expression levels were measured by qRT-PCR and Western blot analysis,***:Proteomics analysis suggested that Sertad4 was the most significantly differentially expressed *** with the saline group,the acteoside treatment group showed decreased IOP,improved n1-P1 wave amplitudes,thicker retina,and larger numbers of cells in the ganglion cell layer(GCL).The IHC results showed that Sertad4 expression levels in DBA/2J mice treated with acteoside were significantly lower than in the saline *** treatment could improve RGC5 cell survival and reduce the Sertad4 mRnA and protein expression levels after glutamate ***:Sertad4 is differentially expressed in DBA/2J *** can protect RGCs from damage,possibly through the downregulation of Sertad4,and has a potential use in glaucoma treatment.

●AIM:To explore the combined application of surgical navigation nasal endoscopy(nnE)and three-dimensional printing technology(3DPT)for the adjunctive treatment of orbital blowout fractures(OBF).●METHODS:Retrospective analysis was conducted on the data of patients with OBF who underwent surgical treatment at the Affiliated Eye Hospital of nanchang University between July 2012 and november *** control group consisted of patients who received traditional surgical treatment(n=43),while the new surgical group(n=52)consisted of patients who received nnE with *** difference in therapeutic effects between the two groups was evaluated by comparing the duration of the operation,best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),enophthalmos difference,recovery rate of eye movement disorder,recovery rate of diplopia,and incidence of postoperative complications.●REsuLTS:The study included 95 cases(95 eyes),with 63 men and 32 *** patients’age ranged from 5 to 67y(35.21±15.75y).The new surgical group and the control group exhibited no statistically significant differences in the duration of the operation,BCVA and enophthalmos *** recovery rates of diplopia in the new surgical group were significantly higher than those in the control group at 1mo[OR=0.03,95%CI(0.01–0.15),Pnd 3mo[OR=0.11,95%CI(0.03–0.36),Pnt disorders at 1 and 3mo after surgery were OR=0.08,95%CI(0.03–0.24),Pnd OR=0.01,95%CI(0.00–0.18),Pncidence of postoperative complications was lower in the new surgical group compared to the control group[OR=4.86,95%CI(0.95–24.78),PnCLUSIOn:The combination of nnE and 3DPT can shorten the recovery time of diplopia and eye movement disorder in patients with OBF.
