It is well known that zinc ions play an indispensable role in the structure and function of a large number of biological process and relevant bio-macromolecules. When some cancers occurred, the relevant concentration of zinc ions considerably decreased. Since cancer cells have a completely different redox homeostasis from normal cells, in this contribution, we have explored the possibility of bio-imaging or labeling of cancer cells through the in situ biosynthesized zinc nanoclusters by cancerous cells. The results demonstrate that we can readily realize the in vivo fluorescent bio-imaging of cancer cells through the in situ biosynthesis of the biocompatible zinc nanoclusters from cancerous cells （i.e., Hela cervical carcinoma cell line and others） when target cells cultured with micromolar zinc gluconate solutions.

Background:Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)is an endocrine disorder that occurs in women of child-bearing ***,PCOS patients have decreased pregnancy rates and clomiphene citrate *** traditional Chinese medicine formula Kun-Tai-1S(KT1S),consisting of the seahorse species hippocampus,has been reported to elicit therapeutic effects in patients with ***,given the limited resources and global demand for wild hippocampus,whether KT1S with or without hippocampus can elicit similar therapeutic effects has not been ***:KT1S and Kun-Tai-1A(KT1A,KT1S without dry hippocampus)were used to treat a letrozole-induced rat model of PCOS with an established *** serum levels of testosterone,luteinizing hormone,anti-Müllerian hormone,and estradiol were determined,the luteinizing hormone/follicle-stimulating hormone ratio was determined,and the ovarian pathology was ***:Similar to the therapeutic effects of cyproterone acetate,both the KT1S and KT1A treatments reduced the body weight and ovarian and uterine indices in the rats with *** serum levels of testosterone,anti-Müllerian hormone,and luteinizing hormone and the luteinizing hormone/follicle-stimulating hormone ratio were significantly lower in the KT1S and KT1A treatment groups compared to the model group(Psults suggested that both the KT1S and KT1A treatments significantly ameliorated the PCOS pathology in the rats with an established disease,with a reduced number of cystic and atretic follicles and an increased number of corpora lutea being observed in the ***,there was no obvious difference in the disease outcomes between the KT1S and KT1A-treated *** pharmacology analysis revealed that 4’,7-dihydroxyflavanone,sinpemine A,quercetin,8-isopentenyl-kaempferol,and luteolin in KT1A may promote estrogen signaling;furthermore,the nitric oxide regulation pathway is also cl

This paper deals with a real-life application of epilepsy classification, where three phases of absence seizure, namely pre-seizure, seizure and seizure-free, are classified using real clinical data. Artificial neural network （ANN） and support vector machines （SVMs） combined with su- pervised learning algorithms, and k-means clustering （k-MC） combined with unsupervised techniques are employed to classify the three seizure phases. Different techniques to combine binary SVMs, namely One Vs One （OvO）, One Vs All （OVA） and Binary Decision Tree （BDT）, are employed for multiclass classification. Comparisons are performed with two traditional classification methods, namely, k-Nearest Neighbour （k- NN） and Naive Bayes classifier. It is concluded that SVM-based classifiers outperform the traditional ones in terms of recognition accuracy and robustness property when the original clinical data is distorted with noise. Furthermore, SVM-based classifier with OvO provides the highest recognition accuracy, whereas ANN-based classifier overtakes by demonstrating maximum accuracy in the presence of noise.

激光增材制造(lam)制备多层结构成形件的工艺过程是由单熔覆道的逐道搭接和单熔覆层的逐层堆叠形成最后的成形件。在该工艺过程中,成形件容易产生缺陷,而单熔覆道及单熔覆层的成形优劣影响了最终的多层结构成形质量。明确缺陷在多层结构搭接及堆叠成形过程中的演变规律、优化单熔覆道及单熔覆层的成形质量是多层结构成形件最终成形质量的关键所在。本文综述了lam成形过程中多层结构的缺陷形成过程、成形质量的表征以及成形质量的调控研究,为实现多层结构成形件的良好成形提供参考和指导。

Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the predominant impairment of neurons in the hippocampus and the formation of amyloid plaques,hyperphosphorylated tau protein,and neurofibrillary tangles in the *** overexpression of amyloid-βprecursor protein(APP)in an AD brain results in the binding of APP intracellular domain(AICD)to Fe65 protein via the C-terminal Fe65-PTB2 interaction,which then triggers the secretion of amyloid-βand the consequent pathogenesis of ***,targeting the interaction between APP and Fe65 can offer a promising therapeutic approach for ***,exosome,a type of extracellular vesicle with diameter around 30–200 nm,has gained much attention as a potential delivery tool for brain diseases,including AD,due to their ability to cross the blood–brain barrier,their efficient uptake by autologous cells,and their ability to be surface-modified with target-specific receptor ***,the engineering of hippocampus neuron cell-derived exosomes to overexpress Fe65,enabled the development of a novel exosome-based targeted drug delivery system,which carried Corynoxine-B(Cory-B,an autophagy inducer)to the APP overexpressed-neuron cells in the brain of AD *** Fe65-engineered HT22 hippocampus neuron cell-derived exosomes(Fe65-EXO)loaded with Cory-B(Fe65-EXO-Cory-B)hijacked the signaling and blocked the natural interaction between Fe65 and APP,enabling APP-targeted delivery of ***,Fe65-EXO-Cory-B induced autophagy in APP-expressing neuronal cells,leading to amelioration of the cognitive decline and pathogenesis in AD mice,demonstrating the potential of Fe65-EXO-Cory-B as an effective therapeutic intervention for AD.

Dear Editor,Nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)is a common malignancy in East and Southeast Asia,especially in South *** etiology of NPC has been linked to genetic susceptibility,Epstein-Barr virus(EBV)infection,and environmental *** evidence including multiple genome-wide association studies(GWASs)has revealed robust genetic predisposition of ***,GWAS-identified genetic variants collectively account for only 8.2%of NPC heritability[1].The underlying inherited predisposition is largely *** strongest genetic signal for NPC consistently hits the human leukocyte antigen(HLA)region on 6p21[2].However,the highly polymorphic nature and complicated long-range linkage disequilibrium(LD)in the HLA region particularly obscure the causal variants driving the *** addition,most genetic variants located in introns or intergenic *** causal genes mediating genetic effects on NPC risk have rarely been ascertained by GWAS alone.
