Breakup of the Neoarchean supercontinent Kenorland:Evidence from zircon and baddeleyite U-Pb ages of LIP-related mafic dykes in the Coorg Block,southern India

The Coorg Block in southern Peninsular India is one of the oldest crustal blocks on Earth that preserves the evidence for continental crust formation during the Paleo-mesoarchean through subductionrelated arc magmatism,followed by granulite facies metamorphism in the *** this study,we report for the first time,the'bar codes'of a major Paleoproterozoic Large Igneous Province in the Coorg Block through the finding of mafic dyke *** gabbroic dykes from the Coorg Block,dom-inantly composed of plagioclase-pyroxene assemblage,show a restricted range in SiO_(2)values of 50.04-51.27 wt.%,and exhibit a sub-alkaline tholeiitic *** rocks show relatively flat LREE and constant HREE patterns and lack obvious Eu *** element modeling suggests that the dyke swarm was fed from a melt that originated at a shallow mantle level in the spinel stability *** grains are rare in the gabbro samples and those separated from two samples yielded 207Pb/206Pb weighted mean dates of 2214±12 ma and 2221±7 *** grains show magmatic features with depleted LREE and enriched HREE and positive Ce and negative Eu *** grains were dated from five gabbro samples which yielded 207Pb/206Pb weighted mean ages ranging between 2217±7 ma and 2228±10 *** combined data show a clear age peak at ca.2.2 *** mafic dykes in the Coorg Block show geochemical similarities with ca.2.2 Ga mafic dyke swarms in different regions of the Dharwar and other cratons in Peninsular India and elsewhere on the *** data also support the inference that the global mafic magmatism at ca.2.2 Ga was linked with intracontinental rifting of the Archean cratons through mantle upwelling or plume *** correlate the mafic dyke swarms in the Coorg Block with attempted rifting of the Neoarchean supercontinent Kenorland.

Neuroscientists have recognized the importance of astrocytes in regulating neurological function and their influence on the release of glial *** studies,however,have focused on the effects of general anesthetic agents on neuroglia or *** can also be an important target of general anesthetic agents as they exert not only sedative,analgesic,and amnesic effects but also mediate general anesthetic-induced neurotoxicity and postoperative cognitive ***,we analyzed recent advances in understanding the mechanism of general anesthetic agents on astrocytes,and found that exposure to general anesthetic agents will destroy the morphology and proliferation of astrocytes,in addition to acting on the receptors on their surface,which not only affect Ca^(2+)signaling,inhibit the release of brain-derived neurotrophic factor and lactate from astrocytes,but are even involved in the regulation of the pro-and anti-inflammatory processes of *** would obviously affect the communication between astrocytes as well as between astrocytes and neighboring neurons,other neuroglia,and vascular *** this review,we summarize how general anesthetic agents act on neurons via astrocytes,and explore potential mechanisms of action of general anesthetic agents on the nervous *** hope that this review will provide a new direction for mitigating the neurotoxicity of general anesthetic agents.

Low Surface Brightness Galaxies Selected by Different model Fitting

We present a study of low surface brightness galaxies(LSBGs) selected by fitting the images for all the galaxies inα.40 SDSS DR7 sample with two kinds of single-component models and two kinds of two-component models(disk+bulge):single exponential,single sersic,exponential+deVaucular(exp+deV),and exponential+sérsic(exp+ser).Under the criteria of the B band disk central surface brightness μ_(0,disk)(B)≥22.5 mag arcsec^(-2) and the axis ratio b/a> 0.3,we selected four none-edge-on LSBG samples from each of the models which contain 1105,1038,207,and 75 galaxies,*** are 756 galaxies in common between LSBGs selected by exponential and sersic models,corresponding to 68.42% of LSBGs selected by the exponential model and 72.83% of LSBGs selected by the sersic model,the rest of the discrepancy is due to the difference in obtaining μ_(0) between the exponential and sersic *** on the fitting,in the range of 0.5≤n≤1.5,the relation of μ_(0) from two models can be written as μ_(0,sérsic)-μ_(0,exp)=-1.34(n-1).The LSBGs selected by disk+bulge models(LSBG_(2)comps) are more massive than LSBGs selected by single-component models(LSBG_1comp),and also show a larger disk *** the bulges in the majority of our LSBG_(2)comps are not prominent,more than 60% of our LSBG_(2)comps will not be selected if we adopt a single-component model *** also identified 31 giant low surface brightness galaxies(gLSBGs) from LSBG_(2)*** are located at the same region in the color-magnitude diagram as other *** we compared different criteria of gLSBGs selection,we find that for gas-rich LSBGs,m_(*)> 10^(10)m_⊙ is the best to distinguish between gLSBGs and normal LSBGs with bulge.

Detection of a mud volcano in the Weitan Banks area of the northern South China Sea

Situated between the petroliferous Cenozoic Zhujiang(Pearl)River mouth Basin and the mud volcano-rich mesozoic Dongsha Basin in the middle sector of the northern South China Sea,the Weitan Banks area has been previously mapped as a basement high that is composed of mesozoic magmatic *** this study,we present several favorable indicators for petroleum geology that were detected from geophysical profiling and benthic sampling in the area.A conspicuous hill was discovered,named“Zhongwei Hill”,~80 m high above the~340 m deep seafloor and~1 km broad,in a depression with more than 7 km thick sedimentary *** Zhongwei Hill was seismically imaged with a mushroom-shaped structure and containing a cake-like crown,fluid flow pipes,and an~10 km broad anticline at ***,the hill represents a source-plumbing-eruption *** gas zones linked to deep fracture were found at or near the *** correlation indicates that the deep strata comprise the Jurassic and Paleogene strata,the major hosts of hydrocarbon source *** addition to the hill,there are number of mounds from which three bottom water samples were collected and the samples are rich in dissolved methane with concentrations high up to~900 nmol/L,much higher than the background level(0.5–2 nmol/L).The benthic samples are rich in coarse sediment clastics,authigenic carbonate nodules,and deep-water habitats likely feeding on methanotrophic *** these observations and the context,we propose that the Zhongwei Hill represents a mud volcano,likely thermally driven,that seeps methane from Jurassic and Paleogene source layers,thus poses a favorable clue for significant hydrocarbon generation capacity in transitional zone of the Zhujiang River mouth Basin and the Dongsha Basin.

Friction and wear performance of polyether ether ketone(PEEK)polymers in three lubrication regimes

This experimental study investigates the friction and wear of three coatings commonly used in industrial applications,particularly in hydrodynamic *** three materials under investigation were Babbitt,polyether ether ketone(PEEK)reinforced with 15%carbon fibers,and PEEK reinforced with 20%carbon *** first polymer material was extruded,while the other was produced by fused deposition modelling(FDm).The materials were subjected to sliding tests in a pin-on-disc configuration,with a steel ball serving as the counter *** tests were conducted at room temperature,with a load of 10 N and under three different lubrication conditions:dry,grease,and *** linear speed was set at 0.3 m/s for the dry and semi-solid lubrication tests,while for the oil tests,the speed was set at 0.25 m/*** greases used had consistency grades of NGLI 000 and NGLI *** ISO VG 68 circulation oil was used for the oil lubrication ***,thermodynamic analyses were performed under the most severe conditions(i.e.,dry)to investigate the steel-Babbitt and steel-PEEK contact.

Intermittent fasting can benefit breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy or ***,it is still uncertain how to select immunotherapy drugs to combine with intermittent *** we observed that two cycles of fasting treatment significantly inhibited breast tumor growth and lung tissue metastasis,as well as prolonged overall survival in mice bearing 4T1 and 4T07 breast *** this process,both the immunosuppressive monocytic-(m-)and granulocytic-(G-)myeloid-derived suppressor cell(mDSC)decreased,accompanied by an increase in interleukin(IL)7R^(+)and granzyme B^(+)T cells in the tumor ***,we observed that Ly6G^(low)G-mDSC sharply decreased after fasting treatment,and the cell surface markers and protein mass spectrometry data showed potential therapeutic *** investigation revealed that glucose metabolism restriction suppressed the splenic granulocytemonocyte progenitor and the generation of colony-stimulating factors and IL-6,which both contributed to the accumulation of *** the other hand,glucose metabolism restriction can directly induce the apoptosis of Ly6G^(low)G-mDSC,but not Ly6G^(high)*** summary,these results suggest that glucose metabolism restriction induced by fasting treatment attenuates the immune-suppressive milieu and enhances the activation of CD3^(+)T cells,providing potential solutions for enhancing immune-based cancer interventions.

Evidence suggests associations between COVID-19 patients or vaccines and glycometabolic dysfunction and an even higher risk of the occurrence of ***,we retrospectively analyzed pancreatic lesions in autopsy tissues from 67 SARS-CoV-2 infected non-human primates(NHPs)models and 121 vaccinated and infected NHPs from 2020 to 2023 and COVID-19 ***-label immunofluorescence revealed direct infection of both exocrine and endocrine pancreatic cells by the virus in NHPs and *** and limited phenotypic and histopathological changes were observed in adult *** proteomics and metabolomics results indicated metabolic disorders,mainly enriched in insulin resistance pathways,in infected adult NHPs,along with elevated fasting C-peptide and C-peptide/glucose ratio ***,in elder COVID-19 NHPs,SARS-CoV-2 infection causes loss of beta(β)cells and lower expressed-insulin in situ characterized by islet amyloidosis and necrosis,activation ofα-SmA and aggravated fibrosis consisting of lower collagen in serum,an increase of pancreatic inflammation and stress markers,ICAm-1 and G3BP1,along with more severe glycometabolic *** contrast,vaccination maintained glucose homeostasis by activating insulin receptorαand insulin receptorβ.Overall,the cumulative risk of diabetes post-COVID-19 is closely tied to age,suggesting more attention should be paid to blood sugar management in elderly COVID-19 patients.

激光弯曲成形技术常用的激光类型是点激光,在温度梯度机理的作用下单次成形角度有上限,在3°左右。为了增大点激光单次成形角度,提高成形效率,本文以不锈钢304板为对象,通过试验对比探索了将圆振荡模式应用于激光弯曲成形中以提高弯曲角方法的可行性;并且借助于三维视觉传感器测量板件在圆振荡激光束弯曲成形过程中的动态响应,从余热效应、吸收率等角度分析其弯曲成形机理。对比试验结果显示,在激光能量密度较高的情况下,圆振荡模式确实可以明显提高工件的弯曲角,增长率在60%左右。同时,三维视觉传感器的测量结果显示出了板件在成形过程中的复杂形变与角度变化过程:板件在长度与宽度方向上均产生了塑性变形,长宽形变比约为10∶1;单次扫描成形板件弯曲角增长过程呈现不同的增长曲线;多次扫描成形弯曲角分布不均衡。此外,板件厚度也逐渐增加,热影响区微观晶粒得到细化。为进一步理解圆振荡激光束弯曲成形过程与机理提供了试验支撑。

Clinical benefit and safety profile of cross-line therapy with CDK4/6 inhibitors: a retrospective study of HR+/HER2–advanced breast cancer

Objective: CDK4/6 inhibitors(CDK4/6is) in combination with endocrine therapy have secured a central role in the treatment of hormone receptor(HR)-positive advanced breast cancer(ABC) and have transformed the therapeutic landscape. Cross-line CDK4/6i therapy in which another CDK4/6i is continued after progression on a prior CDK4/6i may still offer advantageous therapeutic effects. Cross-line CDK4/6i therapy is an area of active investigation in the ongoing pursuit to improve outcomes for patients with HR+/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)± ***: This retrospective study enrolled 82 patients with HR+/HER2± ABC who were treated with cross-line CDK4/6is(abemaciclib, palbociclib, ribociclib, and dalpiciclib) after progression with another CDK4/6i. The primary endpoint was progressionfree survival(PFS) according to version 1.1 of the Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors. Secondary endpoints included toxicity, objective response rate, disease control rate, and overall survival. Adverse events(AEs) were graded according to version 5.0 of the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events, as promulgated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human ***: Eighty-two HR+/HER2± ABC patients who received cross-line CDK4/6i therapy from January 2022 to February 2024 were enrolled. The median age of the patients was 60 years. The median PFS of all patients was 7.6 months(95% CI, 5.9-9.2). Cox regression analysis identified lung metastasis and a switch to endocrine therapy following prior CDK4/6i therapy as independent predictive factors for PFS. Notably, patients who previously received abemaciclib and switched to palbociclib upon disease progression had a median PFS of 10.7 months. The strategy of transitioning to chemotherapy after progression on a prior CDK4/6i, then to a subsequent CDK4/6i merits further investigation. Hematologic toxicity was the most common grade ≥ 3 AEs.
