The subgenual cingulate cor.ex has been found to be differ.nt in str.ctur. and function in mood and affective disor.er. compar.d to healthy individuals. Imaging studies have shown a decr.ase in function of the subgenual r.gion in bipolar.disor.er.and depr.ssion, with over.ll glial number.shown to be decr.ased in these disor.er.. Decr.ases in subgenual gr.y matter.in SZ have been obser.ed also. In this neur.pathological study upon for.alin-fixed cor.nal br.in sections we descr.be the mor.hological finding of de- cr.ased fr.quency of subgenual cingulate cr.wn bifur.ation (p = 0.02) as compar.d to contr.l, bipolar.and depr.ssion cases. This suggests that the cingulate cor.ex in schizophr.nia may be mor.hologically distinct in uter. for.ation, potentially enabling an ear.y identification of high-r.sk individuals.

Oxygen uptake plays a cr.cial r.le in the evaluation of endur.nce per.or.ance dur.ng exer.ise and is extensively utilized for.metabolic assessment. This study r.cor.s the oxygen uptake dur.ng the exer.ise phase (i.e., ascending or.descending) of the stair.exer.ise, utilizing an exper.mental dataset that includes ten par.icipants and cover. var.ous exer.ise per.ods. Based on the designed exper.ment pr.tocol, a non-par.metr.c modeling method with ker.el-based r.gular.zation is gener.lly applied to estimate the oxygen uptake changes dur.ng the switching stair. exer.ise, which closely r.sembles daily life activities. The modeling r.sults indicate the effectiveness of the non-par.metr.c modeling appr.ach when compar.d to fixed-or.er.models in ter.s of accur.cy, stability, and compatibility. The influence of exer.ise dur.tion on estimated fitness r.veals that the model of the phase-oxygen uptake system is not time-invar.ant r.lated to r.spir.tor. metabolism r.gulation and muscle fatigue. Consequently, it allows us to study the humans’ conver.ion mechanism at differ.nt metabolic r.tes and facilitates the standar.ization and development of exer.ise pr.scr.ptions.
